- In our first POUCH SERIES video, we look at the Maxpedition Micro EDC Organizer and the Vanquest PPM Slim, two pouches that have been around a while but are still great at what they do.
Sound off in the comments below and let me know what you think, what I didn't mention, and what I got wrong!

Great vid mate. Looking forward to more knives & pouch content. Stay true & thank you for your service. Australia says hello.!
Awesome! Thank you!
good job on the kits. its nice to see the older generation pouches. nice work with the filming too.
Thanks sir! And thanks for visiting.
I have what appears to be the Vanquest version 2 since mine has the tapered front pocket. The handle on mine seems to be the reverse of yours with the handle fold to the back rather than the front. Everything else appears to be the same. You can neatly carry the zip ties by cutting off the locking tab on one zip tie and sliding the rest of them on or off as required.
That’s cool! What model Vanquest is that?

@@kevola5739 Nice, yes I have that one too, great organizer!
I love your channel😀
You are so kind. Thanks for stopping by!
I know the feeling. Myself and others have been prepping and EDC since before we had terms like prepping and EDC. Lol. Back then it wasn't called anything. It was just what you do as a guy in case something happens or someone needs your help. Nowadays everyone is tacticool and they don't even know that's not a good thing. It's annoying and funny at the same time.🤣 Thanks for the review.
Hey thanks man for the comment and thanks for stopping by the channel.
Same here. I started with a Scout knife and moved up. I'm a surveyor and use this stuff.
Tbh women are the greatest edc folk but they seem to opt for more sensibly designed handbags and clutch purses that don't clash with what they're wearing and works in any space from going out to the shops or on holiday at the beach.
If you need someone with a lighter or some first aid on a typical day. I can guarantee you approach a lady and she or her friend will have what you need.
Just us guys love playing dress up with tacticool webbing, etc.
That is not Maxpedition Mini. Its Maxpedition Micro. The mini version got velcro strap instead the micro
I’ve had it so long that I didn’t even remember what it actually was! Thanks for the correction.
@@LandmanEDC yeah.
Great taste in pens and pencils.
Hey, appreciate that! I appreciate you stopping by the channel and your comment.
Wish they made pouches of this nature without molle. I just want to throw it in a bag, personally I never have the need to attach it to anything.
Any suggestions on some slick pouches?
There are a number of ones you could get - I like Maxpedition and Vanquest for sure. Lots of options for slick fronts and backs. Thanks for watching and sorry I’m just now getting back to you.
I own the Vanquest version 2 and use the Molle on the back as a sheath to hold the Leatherman bit kit for quick access from a cargo pocket. I carry the Leatherman extensions inside and sheath carry the Wave. This leaves lots of room inside for other edc such as pen, sharpie zip ties, micro screwdriver, lighter, as well as wet wipes and ear plugs in the front pouch pocket.
"Cresent wrench" or "channel locks?"
Mini channel locks, MADE by Crescent, the company. I stand corrected.
We call them multi grips in Australia
@@davidellem6643 I think we can all agree on "grabber thingies."
nice review...where you bought the ranger eyes patches please? How much each of ranger eyes patches please?
Most are from Data Crew, others are from Etsy. I have a few also from 5.11 that you see in the video. I’ll admit, they are not easy to find. You kind of have to search and dig a little, especially on Etsy. Thanks for watching!
@@LandmanEDC ok thank you
Muito boa esse organizar da Vanquest.
No Brazil é muito $$$$. 😢
Não consigo comprar
Obrigado.!
👍
I doubt zippers lubricate themselves. Could be the fat on our skin instead.
You’re probably right! Hey thanks for stopping by the channel.
