Got one just today. I wear army trousers with cargo pockets. This EDC fits well. Very hard wearing pouch,worth buying. Enjoyed your revue.
I have the largest Maxpedition Pocket Organizer and the largest Vanquest Pocket Organizer. They are both essentially the same size. I have both of these organizers packed, each with the same items. I wanted to see which was better organized, which had more room and which had the better system for storing your items. As much as I like the Maxpedition I find the Vanquest to be superior. In fact I can store a lot more in the Vanquest and it still closes easily. Filled up though, these things are heavy. You need a back pack or sling pack big enough to put these in to carry. Carry just the one I'm talking, not both at the same time. I find that these small micro pocket organizers make great gifts. You can load them up with personal items, that you know, that a certain person would find the contents you put in useful. One of the differences I find in comparing in particular, North Americans organizer packs to those of people in Britain. Is that we generally include one big knife. But because you have restrictive knife laws. Most use friction fit knives like Swiss Army Models. Whereas we use large lock blade folders that you aren't able to carry as far as I am aware. I mostly concentrate on carrying tools in my organizers. I have quite a few, so I can just grab one of a particular size depending on what I'm doing, where I'm going or how I'm dressed, etc. But no matter what I take, I always carry a pair of side/diagonal cutters, a big knife, a lighter and a flashlight, among other smaller items.
This wins comment of the day. I love a nice detailed comment like this. I 100% agree on the difference between Vanquest and MaxP. I think sometimes MaxP could add a bit more however it's often reflected n the price with the Vanquest pouches costing a wee bit more. I never really thought about your point with the knife sizes, and it makes complete sense. Most of the knives we're allowed to carry in public need to be in the 3" bracket. I have a few knives that are still legal to own but not carry in public so I'll try to use both what looked at what can fit inside. That's a great shout out.

I just got this pouch. Great review. Its not the extra material from the pocket that causes the zips to drag, but the molle webbing on the back of the pouch. My zips would get completely stuck at that point and at the bottom. But after working on the seams bending them back and forth, I'm finally able to get the zips to work, but its tight. I think the problem with my pouch is a quality control issue as the front pocket and Velcro patch are also crooked. Drives me crazy every time I look at it. I'm a Vanquest fan, have a lot of their gear, but kind of disappointed in the one I received. Ever since the lockdown, most everything i order from food to sneakers seems to be lacking in quality control which i attribute to staffing shortages and training. Currently playing phone tag with customer service. Ill probably keep mine, but the quality is not up to normal Vanquest standards. Chalk it up to COVID....
That is a shame, as you said, when you're a fan and used to a high level of quality, it can be massively disappointing to find this. I haven't tried any of their bags yet as they're pretty tough to get here. I have my eyes on either the Ibex 26 or the Addax 25. There's definitely been a global drop in quality and I think you're 100% on why. With a lot of this stuff coming form south east Asia, they must be being worked to the bones over there
Nice pouch! I own the EDCM Husky., which I've used as EDC pouch for many years. It's an amazing and practical pouch, but I Wanted something new, so now I switched it for the urban admin pouch from Helikon and I'm trying to find a new purpose for the Vanquest one. At the moment it's serving as my knife-fix-kit.
I do love a good pouch. It's always fun sitting down and working out what goes where and which pouch fits which gear. Happy days 😂
amazing pouch i have the ppm huge so the biggest version of this pouch and it really isnt much bigger as i saw both sizes in the store i am thinking of getting the slim version too but great video!

Maybe because the Maxpedition one is legendary. The Vanquest one is slightly different in proportions. I think the Vanquest pouch is more like a face-lift with fresh materials 👍 thanks for watching Hans
