  • This is my full review of the Vanquest PPM "personal pocket maximizer" slim & husky.
    If you are the kind of person who likes to carry a lot of stuff in your pockets on a daily basis then the these pocket maximizers by Vanquest might be for you?
    if you live an active outdoor life you already know how important it is to manage all the gear you put in your pockets. When you cary a lot of small items in your pockets some of those small items can fall out. But if you secure them in a pouch it makes it a lot harder for random items to fall out of your pocket.
    Plus if you are a traveller or attend events a lot, there may be places where you have to empty out all the contents of your pockets.
    With a Vanquest personal pocket maximizers you can pull everything out in half a second and put it back just as fast.

    FINALLY someone that shows it going in the pocket. All I needed was a 10 sec video. Thumbs up!

    Great video. I'm glad someone finally made a comparison between these 4 organizers.

    the video was thoughtful to demonstrate how the ppm variations fit inside the pocket . most videos don't do that . much obliged .

    The problem with ALL of the pocket style organizers with the loops on the inside is that, once you put gear in them, the gear on both sides stacks and makes the organizers too thick to shut, or too bulky to be convenient. I have my glasses, a flashlight, a knife, a usb charger, usb cable, lighter, eye drops, and sundry other items in my bag. I would love to be able to pack them into an organizer pocket for easier access, but the thing always ends up being too big. If they ever make one that is gusseted so that the space is static instead of having to stretch the pouch, please review it. I would happily buy 3.

    Does the husky feel big or bulky in the Pocket? I normally wear tac pants and shorts so.

    Thanks so much for what they look like IN a pocket! How does the slim look/feel in a back pocket?

      Sorry I didn't test it in my back pockets because I don't like sitting on the things I have in these organizers. I'm sure they fit fine and are easy to access though.

      mixflip Fair enough. I carry my wallet with my phone so I have some back pocket real estate. Think I'll take the plunge. Great review!

      Thanks for watching. Vanquest is really giving Maxpedition and other tactical bag companies some serious competition.

      mixflip I heard recently that the chief R&D person at Vanquest was the original founder & co-owner of Maxpedition back in the 2000s. Also Vanquest's operations manager was from Maxpedition too... you can probably ask them?

      Sean W Anything is possible. Guys move from one company to competitors all the time. The lead designer at Archangel used to work at Hogue for almost 10 years. Its common.

    Will a Galaxy 5 in an otterbox defender fit in the slim or should I get a husky?

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip  Před 9 lety +1

      My galaxy s4 in an otterbox fit snugly in the PPM slim. I'd go with the husky if you want to carry a bit more gear with your phone because nothing else could fit while the phone was in there.

      I used these pouches yesterday in my backpack at bike fest to carry my spare camera batteries and wires. I also tested out their new lens bags too at the Harley Davidson grand opening. Great gear.

    USA made?

    • @mixflip
      @mixflip  Před 9 lety

      Nah its made in the same place iPhones, Sony HD TV's, laptops and almost everything in WalMart is made. It is designed in the USA though. I believe their design studio is in the Irvine California area? If these were made in the USA like SOE or Shellback Tactical or Triple Aught Design...then the prices would be insanely expensive. I try to buy USA made as much as possible but I also have to buy wisely since my money doesn't grow on trees lol. Its easy to hate on products that are made poorly and fall apart in 6 months. Vanquest doesn't fall into that category thankfully. I need to do an update video of how my Vanquest Envoy has held up over the last year as a daily work bag. Not a single thread has come loose and there isn't a single fray or hole in the Cordura. Tough stuff for sure.

    Overpriced. Go to Bang Good or E Bay, you can get the equivalent at a fraction of the price.
