@beast12101 Gear to consider replacing: "Zebra collapsible pen" (tiny, for the organizer but expands to full size), Fenix E05 light (1 AAA battery is easier to find than the flat batteries, also your light might accidentally turn on by being pressed inside the bag). Also SAK Alox Farmer is a light multi-tool w/blade, saw, reamer, prybar, etc.
Great little pack. A few things I would do different for myself, but it would be loaded very similar. I like that it is long enough for regular length writing utensils.
Great review Mr. B...I just ordered my Maxpedition mini yesterday....looking forward to outfitting and deploying it as my EDC organizer....thanks for the info and stay safe out there...
I bought the VooDoo version of this mini organizer and one of the interior pockets separated from the seam. That was a weeks worth of carry. I use it now as a survival fishing kit.
maxpedition is pricy but its worth my money any day. i bought the versipacks ( jumbo and the smaller one) i also bought a barnacle that i removed the midle divider witch was a pain to unstich goes to show how well made their stuff is . triple stiched is no joke with these guys . square stiching is like triple stiched so the rest of the bags will tear up before the handles or straps tear off . im probably gona buy some more soon .
@DOGPATCH63 yeah,I left it in there the survival kit I had in there before. the load out will probably change once I get my bag set up completely, probably going to carry my Leather surge.. thanks
Just a tip. Ditch the fire steel and the pry bar. Unnecessary weight. Carry a mini bick and a multitool, it will suffice for just about everything on the line. Stay light and fast.
just ordered this one, thinking of attatching it to the versipak . i have the anenome and the janis already attached, this one last mini pack outta do it
A rite in the rain pen or fisher space pen would fit better in that small space, and they dont explode when they get hot or smashed. Wrap that pry bar in tape or rubber so it wont punch through the material. Consider adding a mini-tool like the Micra. Good video.
I have the regular sized organizer as holder for extra random stuff for my weapons like a brush to get sand and grit out places it doesn't belong, CLP, leatherman and my compass. I used it in the Stan and in Iraq. I didn't keep it in my "ACU" pocket b/c those pants pockets are worthless. I just had it attached to my left thigh much like a holster. It sat low enough that it didn;'t get in the way of a dump pouch, so those in the army or marines who use a hanging dump pouch answered for ya.
I love my Maxpedition Mini. It's part of my EDC, and I am a bit pedantic on gear organization. Check out my review (somewhere near yours). As you will see, I'm guilty of slightly over stuffing...
Nice video, nice kit. I'm shying away from maxpedition. While their cordura and zippers are nice, I'm wearing a lot of holes in my nylon sections of their bags. The internal areas. I'm an everyday hard use guy. I do outdoor television. How are the insides holding up on yours in heavy use?
Would you think a small moliskine wouls fit well in there, i have a seperate poch for my phone, but its kindof a necsity for me to carry a notebook :) please get back to me.
no offense but why would you buy a $23.00 maxpedition when you could get the county comm for $10.00 and for that "wasted space" you could get a moleskine reporter the moleskine's work great.

Recently I bought my the Maxpedition Fatty for some of my extra stuff.. and I am really enjoying it. =D
2:23 just take a field notes journal and cut it down to the size you like---won't hurt anything 😂 think outside the box 😉
Moleskines are sketchbooks/notebooks, various paper types available, nice cover, 14x9 cm give or take a tenth or two (very roughly 3.5x5.5 inches).

that seems so handy want one
Suggestion: buy a zebra telescoping pen for the bag. Also a streamlight micro flashlight will fit nicely.
I saw Roscoba has a prototype "micro" EDC organizer so that should be out soon hopefully
Just ordered the rat wallet, but I think this is what I was looking for! Agree perfect size.
@PinkMist88 I saw that, its pretty cool

@KlrSarge but they still have a cargo pocket dont they

Vid is just Great!
Thanks for sharing.
Pretty cool.
Is that included in your EDC now?
@beast12101 Its the ULTIMITE note book, they sell them at barnes and noble and like writing stores. there great lookem UP :D
the compass is ok... there should be a bubble^^ because of different temperature.
Any one know if this will fit on the top of the maxpidition mpb xxl main compartment lid tac tie attachment? Or recommend one that will?
yes they do
@M1st3rm1g00 I dont know what a moliskine is
yes would fit in
yup
Thanks
Put the compass in the freezer to get the bubble out
When you next need to take it out the compass will warm up and the bubble will return.

While I just can't commit to spending the money on one of there large packs, there small admin pouches are priced just right.
Wich is the pouch that you dont use any more?
I believe it was a countycomm
you cut off a bit of the pen to make it fit. i guess you could do the same with a notebook...
just a quick ? are you a smokejumper or "hotshot"
Price just dropped on this & the "fatty" on Amazon, nice organizers for $13 & $19!
Boo-yah!
3:22 to skip talking.
Skip to 4:10 and skip the monolauge
@KlrSarge: yes and they are about useful as females in combat, lol.
