    Jalen Brunson is by far the best high school basketball player I have ever seen in person. Dropped 40 in the state title. Then proved to be a winner at Nova. With what he’s doing now, sky is the limit

      @@JimBrave-vi9ji you know it’s possible to praise someone without tearing down others. You’re right, Kidd is a great coach and knows how to develop talent. But by your logic, every player he’s ever coached would be great if it has nothing to do with the player. But that’s not the case is it? Food for thought.
      Brunson is where he’s at because of the work HE put in. Kidd ain’t doing that work for him.
      I find it incredibly odd your desire to discredit this man

    THIS is what’s missing in so many sports journalism these days. Actual sane analysis rather than outright clown shows based on outrageous takes to generate views.
    Massive props to Legler for admitting he was wrong and detailing WHY he was wrong. Such a basic concept that’s foreign in today’s media.

      Sports Journalism, ALL Journalism. Journalism and The media in this Country are a disgrace. I think people have more respect for Prostitution than Journalism and the media today. Journalism is all about feelings, opinions and pushing an agenda. Facts aren't important anymore in journalism.     I’ve said this about Jalen since the beginning of last year. He was just a bucket and his game was so damn nice. Shifty and quick, Strong, Elite at the rim, great mid range game. Literally any time he shoots it felt like a make. Miss him on the Mavs

      As a Knicks fan i was pissed hearing how much we were doing to free up space for “big free agent pull Brunson”
      But i didnt know his game, i dont watch college ball. But when i looked up his stats and saw he shoots FIFTY PERCENT from the field, i knew he was a baller - not another low 40% shooting shot jacker

    I don't think anyone thought Jalen would be this good 🤷‍♂️. Even most knick fans were upset when the trade initially happened because we all felt Donovan would've been the better pickup especially since this is where he wanted to come. In the end I think it worked out for the best for all parties involved, we just need JB to stay healthy 🙏.

      I still would take Donovan Mitchell, but.. god damn has JB been revelatory for the Knicks, he's inspired Julius Randle, elevated Grimes and Quickley, and gives the Knicks a true elite pg.

    I'm a personal trainer and got a chance to work with some of his high school teammates....they were so good so I knew he was talented since he was there best player. I'm so proud he is doing well and with his pops by his side that's gotta feel awesome.

    Vividly remember the entire NBA community outside of NY clowning the Knicks for that contract, which made no sense because even if his production had stayed the same as in Dallas he'd still be worth that $. Crazy that he'll be making less and less $ each year of his contract.

      It was pretty fair assumption for everyone to make tho. He is an undersized guard that averaged 16 ppg player and they paid him 100m. Pretty insane that the knicks pulled the trigger on that.

Maybe that's true if someone's a casual fan and doesn't really watch games, but anyone that watched Brunson last year in the regular season knew what his potential was... then he PROVES it on the BIGGEST stage (playoffs) and without Luka, like I don't understand how more people didn't connect the dots that this was going to happen... Brunson has literally improved in every statistical category since coming into the league if anything the "fair assumption" would've been he's going to only get better based on everything we've seen... but it's the Knicks and the narrative was different.

    Hey look, Jalen is amazing man but in Dallas, Luka over shadowed all. Its hard to evaluate a guy playing #2 to a ball dominate star. Respect to Jalen, great hooper.
    For example, look at Mikal after stepping out of his role in PHX. He looks like a star!

    I could not agree more regarding Brunson the guy has been outstanding and is absolutely deserving of making the All-NBA team. His efficiency splits considering his usage and shot volume is wildly impressive. Brunson is such a gamer.

How is that wrong of me to say? And third, I said Randle never showed THIS type of development of the level that he’s currently playing at.     I give Tim props for admitting hire wrong he was about Brunson. As some basketball fans (even Knicks fans) were crying about missing out on Mitchell, I thought we were going to give up too much (players and picks) for a solid scorer who doesn’t impact winning. Brunson has been the missing piece for us. He was a stud with Nova but was overshadowed by Luka. When Luka was hurt, Brunson regularly carried the Mavs. Greatest free agent pick up in well over a decade for the Knicks.

      I feel that is a fair comparison. Jalen Is a baby Luka without the playmaking. He is not fast. But Brunson is not a small guy and he have good foot work.

    Played against him in AAu when he played for Mac Irving, when sticking him it seem like he not doing much but you look up and he got you right where he want. And then he can just brush pass you like put you on his hip. Jevon Carter my HS teammate went to play with NLP and JB was there and let us know “aye he is that “ and this when Jevon was already goin to WVU.

    Knicks all day!!!! Brunson one of the BEST pgs in the league.. NO DOUBT.. ppl want like someone that can dunk or some crazy speed lol so exciting seeing a tall nba player dunk!!! NOT.. thats easy.. what jalen does is soooooo freaking flashy and mind blowing to me.. i re watch some of his highlights over and over again cause i cant believe what he just did and how smooth it was

    The problem is everyone is looking at flash. His fundamentals are solid and he makes smart decisions. Playing alongside Luka he was doing the most of the minutes he got. Some players will make minutes or touches an excuse but successful players make the best of what they have.

    I knew Jalen Brunson wasn’t just fringe role player when Luka was out for the playoffs last year and they went up 2-1 on the Jazz. His game is much like Luka but he doesn’t pass as well. He just needs the right system around him and he can be competitive

      Still shoots 50% though, amazing
