This game is the definition of "guilt".. one moment you're pumped up to kill a giant monster.. only to question yourself later what kind of a monster are you..
MadiCat247 haven't played it ever. But that's what i figured based on the first few minutes. The MONSTERS look like monsters but don't really behave like them and the way you take them down just seems really brutal.
TheMike27 You cannot make a perfect game better except upgrading graphics and frame rates. The colossi they removed before original release were integrated into the 16 we got, adding any NPCs or enemies would be a disservice to such a great open world that literally provides the perfect atmosphere for the story and emotional impact the game represents.
TheMike27 You cannot add content if you do not own the rights. As I said before the other colossi concepts were integrated into the 16. Ueda did not want an extremely long game and yes it would take away from the game by adding things like that. It is considered one of the, if not the greatest game of all time and has been remastered and remade. No reason to fix something that isn't broke.
TheMike27 You may not think that it is, but the vast majority think that. I have been playing it as well and it is definitely improved over the PS2 and even PS3 versions. I've played through more than 2 dozen times on the two previous versions. It's not meant to be overly difficult and once again as I stated not meant to be an extremely long game. Thats why Ueda cut it down to 16. The gameplay cannot be dated, this is nothing to compare it to in order to make that claim. It is simple in its design ON PURPOSE. It leaves the player the opportunity to fill in small gaps and let them immerse themselves into the narrative. Any video on CZcams analyzing the game states the exact same things. Look them up if you need. You seem to need a vastly complicated and lengthy game, which is fine but bashing a game that is well established in its reputation gets you nowhere.
TheMike27 Nostalgia has nothing to do with the proof that it is a masterpiece. Go read any and all reviews on past and present versions of the game. Like I said, simplistic gameplay cannot be dated, there is nothing about it that isn't present in current games and nothing that is considered an older style. Your opinion is what you are trying to force upon others. The fact that you are using profanity only proves my point. Look up Games as literature or similar analyses. You can keep getting made but I am backing up my point with reviews and analytic proof.
Four Names Four Eyes Well I’m glad it wasn’t because my siblings would make the experience of this game bad... because they always fight, there’s seven of us
Square Enix better look at this game before they finnish making Final Fantasy VII. Want to be able to choose atleast between original battlesystem or like XV. This is perfect!
I got to say after coming back to this masterpiece 10 or so years later, I still remember how to beat these colossi. The muscle memory never went away.☺
This game has one of my fondest gaming memories, because playing it at the age of 5 and not knowing what to do or how to do it, and then finding out was so much fun. If anyone wonders how my first playthrough went, it was essentially me being stuck on Valus for a week and a half, and then coming to the logical conclusion of stabbing the head. I thought I was so smart for thinking that up, and when I saw the symbol I knew I made the right choice. Then I got spooked once I hit the six colossus (forgot the name.) and didn't pick the game back up until I was 7 or 8, and then just plowed through it. Definitely one of the best games ever.
I never got to play the original and as this being my first time playing it the game blows my mind. The movement and animations that the character has are crazy cool and fun
Great video. When this was announced like many remakes or remasters i was worried. But then i watched some footage and was sold. I played like many others this game like 10 times lol. Now years later my 10 year old i told him when i picked him up from school you get to see one of my favorite games of all time i played before you were born. Off the bat the first colossus in 4k on ps4 pro was worth the $40 bucks alone. Both our eyes were huge like OMG! I've only been beating 1 colossus per day so we can enjoy the journey together. Games like this are why i love video games. Not for competition or money or worthless achievements. Just the awe of having a sword and a bow and fighting something way more powerful then you are for someone you love. Excellent game. Wish we get a sequel or spinoff some day
Colosseum Lizard. First colossus to give me a game over. The rage of climbing back down there etched it's way into my heart and has never stopped stoking an engine of reptilian distrust and dismemberment. Not even the sweet, succulent, stamina boosting sacrifices could get me to look at the cold blooded beasts in the light. Kuromori, I salute you.
Desose Ignea pro tip, stand on the second level where there’s a huge hole in the wall. When he climbs up the wall, shoot two of his glowing legs so he tumbles down to the bottom. If you’re still in the second floor you can just jump out of the hole in the wall once he starts to fall from the wall. Then climb into his tummy and get your stabbing on 👍
I just recently found this game through a friend who showed me a little bit of it and recommended it. So I probably had a much stronger experience starting it on the remastered ps4 version, than someone who had played the game for a while back on the original version… but I will say that this is the most visually stunning game I have ever played, which is shocking to me finding out how long ago the original form of it came out. And I completely felt that the shock and wonder and horrifying intimidation the first time you come across your initial colossus. From there on I was hooked
It seemed to me that Wanders corruption wasnt as noticeable in this version as oppose to the old one but that could be just me. Havent played it in awhile. Still enjoyed seeing this game get the remaster it deserves
Looks like a good offline game, something you can come to at the end of your day and put it on and just play. I feel like in 2018, most game studios focus on online play and don't really care about a story or good single player game play. So I'm glad I heard about this game, will be giving it a shot
I agree,I own over 400 games between ,PS3,PS4 and PS5 and I only play offline singleplayer, as multi-player is boring and repetitive to me,I much prefer a action adventure game with story, good characters and atmospheric engaging world and gameplay...,
Bought this game the other day and I cannot stop playing it!! I haven't touched another game since. I can't believe I never played the previous versions
I never played this game, and I just ordered it so I can go play it this week. And after hearing so much stories from people how good it is, I'm really excited to play it and actually glad that I can have that first time experience. Somehow it is nice to know before playing that it is going to be an amazing experience, without knowing anything else of the game :)
It's kinda funny that only two months or so after I finally got a hold of my own PS2 to play classics like this, this remake was announced. And damn, does it look great. Guess I'll just get both once I finally get a PS4.
This game looks really really nice. The graphics are just so nice. The first time u showed the giants scale and then the hair while u climb it. It looks so awesome.
4:00 Thank you, for pointing that out. I noticed this but couldn't properly describe my critique of it and many disliked my comment about it in another video.
Hi Jake Baldino, I haven't actually played this game yet, not even the original but I have been interested since they have remastered it! Looks fun and exciting! I may pick this game up more later than sooner! Good review!
Not many people know that you can put a permanent filter on. To do this, go to the display settings and choose filter and there you can have fun with the visuals.
Do an " After you buy " Series, going over in game content like must do quests or missions for the game. Possible DLCs depending on the game. You could go over past games and DLCs like witcher 3 and talk about in game content like some of its iconic quest arcs. Idk just some food for thought.
During the recession a friend gave me a 7 dollar copy of this. Played it on a borrowed Ps2 and a 32 inch CRT television. I love this game. I can identify with how alone and totally screwed Wanderer is. It's beautiful.
This channel is the main source I go to before anyone else to see if I should buy the game or not. Trustworthy, unlike many other main stream reviewers
OMG I have been searching for this game for such a long time and now I know what it’s called, also it’s a remake! I just can’t believe I actually found it I was so young when it came out and it really opened a whole new world for me I can’t wait to play it
Very excited to try this. I heard about it a lot as being a fantastic game but this revamp will be the first time I play it myself. And luckily I’m exactly the kind of person to get excited about graphics
I have a PS2,and i've never heard about this game before. I'm very happy that I got curious about the giant monster on the PS4 cover. This game, needs to be more popular, and more talked about.
Its amazing. So nostalgic and reminiscent. I love this game and it feels so good to play again on my ps4. I am already 6 colossi's deep. Im kinda little bumbed that considering the ps2 one had 18 other colossi's scrapped. Oh well hopefully there will be dlc although i doubt it. But man i love this game. I hope theres a ico remake!
Getting you Triggered Yeah when I first hear about this I was really hoping they would explore at least some of the cut content. It would have been a nice touch for returning players.
The reason most were cut were because they felt like recycled versions of the ones they had. They chose to have 16 varied colossi vs 34 colossi that shared elements and dulled down the experience. Maybe if they added them outside the actual content would have been neat, but I'm glad they didn't add them to the core game.
this is the one game I was looking forward to in 2018, I've never played it and have been holding out for this remake. got it earlier today and I'm loving the shit out of it. I've only fought five colossi because I spent so much time exploring and climbing random rock faces, hunting lizards. I'm having a lot of fun. sucks mhw and this came out around the same time and I have to choose which to play ahaha.
I really want to play this one again. I mean, the last time was in the ps2 era and it has been on my mind ever since, but the sheer number of quality titles that are out now and are on the horizon are going to consume way more spare hours than I have on my disposal.
I envy you, to be able to go through this game blind. I wish I could do that again, that feeling of "what the fuck do I do to kill this thing?" just won't come back.
Never played the original, sadly. I even got my ps2 the same year the game was released. But i was 5 or 6 at the time and barley even knew what video games were. Glad i get to experience it now with the great passion of video games that was born from my ps2 days.
Its a fun game. I bought it for the ps2 long time ago as well. Biggest gripe is its primarily a graphics game more than anything. The only puzzles or strategies of any kind is figuring out how to kill the next monster. Im happy each one is unique in its own way and you cant kill any of them the same way. Still a fun game, I only just wish that there was a little more to it
I only have one complaint that wasn't addressed in this video, and that was the fact that Wander "glitches" through things most of the time. Say you're holding onto a Colossi's fur or something only for Wander to suddenly glitch out for a few frames when you try and move or reposition him to stab a Colossi. I find it very VERY frustrating and it takes me out of one of my all time favorite games that I have come to enjoy and appreciate.
To be honest, remember those colossi that didn't make it into the game but the designs and models of them are pretty much done? I think those should either be given as free DLC as a 'Thank you for not letting this game die' type thing or sold as near cheap.... I think its time we finally did get those 24 colossi we've all been wanting
Jack_Sparrow yeah kinda bumbed that they didnt get added. I mean maybe on ps2 it made sense to be scrapped. But oh well. Hopefully it'll get a dlc i guess. I love this gane so I'd get it
there was never 48 Colossi planed the 48 was just concept art cut down to 24 then had 8 cut from the original prototype because the 8 cut Colossi were to similar to the 16 they already made
mustafahusham1 PLEASE DON’T GOOGLE HOW TO BEAT ANY OF THE COLOSSI I’m sick of people missing the point of this game after watching walkthroughs. This game revolves around figuring out how to beat them. Don’t cheat yourself
@@clemandax9242 Yeah .. You are so right... Trying to figure out how to kill these beasts and get them down took forever... My son and I both fought the first colossus for over an hour each until by accident he jumped on it s leg and stabbed it .... I can remember looking at the time trials and thinking .. NO fucking way ... NOW I just bought it and it's coming back quick... But I am stopping killing them until I have eatin all the fruit and white tailed lizards and find the coins
I am so confused. Why did you love it? I've been riding the horse only for the last hour and can't find the giants. All I've been doing is riding a horse. Seems like a huge waste of time.
i bought this back in the day after seeing reign on me but i never could beat it. can't wait for it to go on sale and finally finish this beautiful game
It's been 12 years... since this game came out in Australia... and I bought a PS2 just to play it and only it. One of the best purchases I made, if only to play that one game. Picked it up today and the feels and memories come flooding back. It's still a masterpiece in every way and I'm glad the only change is graphics and controls, both needed modernising and it works so well.
Shadow of the Colossus gives the PS4 its own zelda, a must play. i did miss the PS2 classic. as did not know about it at the time. as the PS2 had so many games made for it.
Are there new colossi? When the first game came out there were rumors of a 17th colossus and the game was always intended to have more. I feel like this is a wonderful opportunity to add them in. But I could also see why people wouldn't want that.
Deadwolf there were intended to be ALOT more (like around 64) but it was drastically cut to 16 and the rumors about a 17th collosi are sadly false. The rumor was based on the secret garden atop the Castle you can get to at the end of the game if you upgraded the stamina gauge enough
Deadwolf I highly doubt it but there are what ppl call gold coins. there is a clue in the end credits aluding to 79 steps to enlightenment. Is this the coins? What will collecting them all achive or unlock?
they never intended to have more the 48 Colossi they had was just concept art and when they made the first prototype of the game they cut it down to 24 Colossi and the 8 Colossi that were cut from the final build of the game were to similar to the 16 Colossi that were made in the final build.
I'm a Xbox owner since 2005 haven't bought a single PlayStation console but with the upcoming releases of God of War, Days gone and Detroit: Become Human they have a legitimate line up of solid exclusives that are a must buy and can't pass up so I'm looking forward getting my ps console. And this game too. Looks amazing.
Memor Esto I played shadow of the colossus on ps2 when I was in elementary school dude. This game is a huge part of my child hood. I simply made a joke about it being that you “hunt colossal monsters” since there’s been so much monster hunter coverage everywhere on CZcams that I felt I wasn’t the only one that would get the joke.
Carbon xP honestly i was falling for the joke as well. It isn't easy to understand if it's a joke or not on the internet, especially lately when players says that some games are a copy of present games while it's the contrary. It's understandable that some don't get the joke. :)
Memor Esto How can you say chill both games are good but call monster Hunter world a kindergarten drawing? The story as usual isn't super big but gameplay is complex and fun they're very different besides climbing big monsters but It's not deserving of being called a kindergarten drawing. Especially when the world is so artfully drawn as well and looks gorgeous.
Unfortunately I don't have a PS4. I got my PS2 version though and I only use component cables and progressive scan mode when I can. I have been looking up reviews and comparisons. I can never find the answer I'm looking for. That is does time attack mode exist? And if so do you get the unlockables for playing it? Also can you change Agro's appearance?
I never played the original but I wanna give my honest opinion as a new comer of what I thought of the game after playing through it with a friend who had played the original. To begin with, the game do look amazing at some parts and some less but for most of it I'd say there's nothing bad with it. The world itself felt overwhelming and mystic wich I loved about it, making me appreciate the "cursed land" for what it had to offer. The music helped building up alot of tension, thoughts and feelings. The story, even though somewhat unclear, I felt I could understand most of it (and also being able to see some connections to ico and last guardian). Now, the problem for me however is that I got dissappointed. During the gameplay I felt that the game had some huge flaws that took me by surprise since I had heard noone complain on anything (and I really mean anything) regarding the remake. These things were namely: The camera. The physics. The controlls. The sideobjectives. To begin with, the camera, I felt furious at times, the camera randomly snapping to weird angles or focusing on points where I wasn't looking and causing me to loose my sense of controll. The physics reminded me of the one I've experienced in last guardian and I feel more or less like the game doesn't want me to know what I'm doing when trying to controll my character. I also felt like the character were (no matter what controll scheme I couldn't get a better feel of it) unreasonable in the way his animations worked. This was especially during the fight where you meet a "bull" looking colossus that had me getting knocked over time after time without a chance to even get up, I ended up pressing all the buttons when I found out I could somewhat cancel his animation to get up again by changing weapon and allowing me to barely jump away in time. Lastly wich is not that important but since I was told by people it was a vast open world with puzzles I expected clear hints of puzzles around in the world where I could go and do stuff inbetween all the action but I felt more like I was exploring for coins in a forest than solving a mysterious puzzle. HOWEVER, as I said, this is not something I would say was a flaw, more or less just people getting my mind confused as to what the term open world puzzle would be. I still appreciate the small collectibles and the open world. All and all I give Shadow of the Colossus a 6.5/10 with a consideration of giving it higher since I think I'll enjoy it more as I adjust to the way the game works
Hampus Leman I think 6.5 is generous, I’d give it a 3 or 4 and that’s mainly for the graphics, it controls like it’s a masterclass in how to make bad controls. I don’t know what people see in this shit, I got it for free and I feel ripped off.
@@yanceyboyz You're playing a 15 year old game with today's expectations. The controls and camera were never good, but the ambition, the awe and how much of a work of art is was groundbreaking on the PS2.
Swoooze I played it at launch on the ps2, it had awful controls and camera for its day, MGS3 subsistence came out at almost exactly the same time, and the controls on that were phenomenal. Mario 64 came out in 1996 and while the camera occasionally had issues, it controlled a million times better than shadow of the colossus. Ocarina of time 97-98. Windwaker in 2002. Soul reaver and sequel. Even its predecessor ico was marginally better than it.
@@yanceyboyz I know, I mentioned the controls and camera already. Though the game is so ambitious it overcame those problems and became one of the best games on the PS2. Much like how MGS3 originally had a horrible camera and controls too, but was still so good it overcame those issues.
@@yanceyboyz u think its 3 because ur mind is too small to understand its meaning. The only issue is the camera dude. Just play sports games bro maybe it has amazing plot.
Lost my PS2, don't play that much on my PS3 because now I have a gaming PC in which I built myself, and it can run anything I throw at. Finished college last year, got a full time job now and I am saving up my money now. Planning on moving my desk setup out of my bedroom into a new room that was intended for storage and turn it into my office/mancave for my new work from home office during this pandemic times since my company is still in lockdown. Work and other priorities comes first though and I am saving up my money for either a PS4, PS5 this upcoming year that is if they remaster it again but with ray tracing capability, and planning on getting VR. I'm still living with my parents so I am using this to my advantage to save up money in both my office game-room as well as purchasing gaming consoles to play other games that doesn't offer it for PC.
just spent 3 hours with this game. Visually stunning, superb music, cinematic feeling when taking on a Colossi. It really is gorgeous. But I have to say this game is just no fun to me. The controls drive me crazy, and i feel that after the first fight you basically do the same thing over again in the same way. Been a long time since I stopped a game that early.
I know your comment is a bit old but I bought this game some time ago and never played it. However was hyped to play it eventually, just had to find the time. Finally played it this weekend for a few hours...found the controls difficult to maneuver, and found doing the same thing over and over rather boring and uninteresting. Deleted the game with no intentions of trying it again...
@@K3nVV That's the fun part, climbing up a colossi is supposed to be difficult. SotC is a beautiful piece of art, it's a shame you didn't finish it because I'm sure you would have appreciate it so much more.
I partially agree. The game is repetitive. It’s basically repeat the boss until the end. But controls are perfect. It feels organic and not robotic like most games. The horse is supposed to behave the way it feels like. Unlike most games that they just behave as a robot following your controls. Same for your character, he’s supposed to have difficulty jumping and grabbing, it made the game realistic. Just wish there were puzzles or something else between the monsters. Maybe Combat with smaller monsters.
Wth why does everyone thinks that the controls are bad dude I'm mainly a pc gamer and played it the controls didn't bother me a bit, and now, it's my most most favorite game.
I agree. All i ever hear is nostalgia praise and less facts. The games looks beautiful and interesting but I dont want to pay $40 for a horse riding simulator to poke at a giant monster foot a few times. There should be smaller enemies to fight and other things to do in the world. Similar to the most recent god of war. $40 isnt worth a boss simulator.
Marcus Powell you’re looking for something that is first and foremost a video game, Shadow of the Colossus is all about deconstructing the entire concept of an action/adventure video game, so if you go into it expecting anything like any game you’ve ever played, you will be disappointed, because it’s completely and utterly unique.
Favorite Colossus battle? GO
gameranx idk I never played it before LOL
The 2 guy
never played it but i want it.
Gaius
gameranx do you think that it will be a good or bad game?
Some of these should just be called “After You Bought”
Lol. Same, man.
seriously tho
Agree.
Yeah lol

The blood of Ragnar Lothbrok cleanses all guilt of mine.
chuck _ valdez only people who beat this game understand what u mean. Its a psychological story for the player without them knowing
Ueda has an interesting idea of world balance. For every major thing you want to do, there's a counterbalancing aspect.
MadiCat247 i read so many comments about it, I haven't played it, but will play.
MadiCat247 haven't played it ever. But that's what i figured based on the first few minutes. The MONSTERS look like monsters but don't really behave like them and the way you take them down just seems really brutal.
Who's here after this game came out free for Ps plus?

Its not free yet but yeah
Edit: welp it is now

Spit Dragon It's a ps4 exclusive
Spit Dragon yeah it's not like it's been on PlayStation since the ps2 days or anything lmao
I love the before you buy series, but this should one be called “Why you should buy it”
Easily the best remake in recent memory
OVERLOAD24 no
Save us M1SAKI Why no?
Remake...
6 Kitty Cats My bad, I’ll go ahead and fix that. I always get those two mixed up lol
But the game is not always worth buying
Single player gamers. Rejoice!
Getting you Triggered Fun fact, Shadow of the Colossus was originally planned to be built around 4 player coop.

This is not a game. This is art.
10/10
Kind of the same thing
They're not mutually exclusive
8.8/10
That's like saying, "The Mona Lisa is not a painting, it's art!"
Every single video game is inherently a work of art. It can be good art or bad art, but every game is already art.
I remember playing this on the ps2 and ps3 and now ps4 this is one of those special games that brought me into gaming
Literally been planning* to buy it, then PS+ blessed me.

Haha yea it was so immersive
It was one of my favorite games as a kid and still is. Love the soundtrack.
Best quality video footage I've seen for this game on CZcams, very nice!
Got it a few days ago and I love it. Don't know how the original feels (I've only heard some things) but this is easily one of my favorite games.
This often goes on sale for $10--$14. At that price it's a steal, for how many hours of enjoyment most will derive from it.
I watch all of these videos even though I'm only interested in like 1 out of 5 games shown. I love this channel.
Thank you for the awesome reviews throughout the years! You've got a true blue fan here.
It seemed to me that Wanders corruption wasnt as noticeable in this version as oppose to the old one but that could be just me. Havent played it in awhile. Still enjoyed seeing this game get the remaster it deserves
I really didn't notice it until much much later. I agree with you.
Looks like a good offline game, something you can come to at the end of your day and put it on and just play. I feel like in 2018, most game studios focus on online play and don't really care about a story or good single player game play. So I'm glad I heard about this game, will be giving it a shot
so? how did you feel after playing one of the best games ever?
I agree,I own over 400 games between ,PS3,PS4 and PS5 and I only play offline singleplayer, as multi-player is boring and repetitive to me,I much prefer a action adventure game with story, good characters and atmospheric engaging world and gameplay...,
@@frankbasile3662 yessir agreed.
Dude we got red dead 2 god of war and Spider-Man in 2018, studios definitely cared about good single player games
Actually never played it before I'm stoked. Thanks for the video, as always super well done.
Bought this game the other day and I cannot stop playing it!! I haven't touched another game since. I can't believe I never played the previous versions
Gameranx is my main source for reviews and I will buy this game!!!
Always wanted to play shadow of the colosus but never had a ps2 or ps3. Finally ! :)
This is hands down, the greatest videogame of all time. There's simply not one experience in gaming category that is as all-inclusive as this one.
The thought and creativity of this game is so amazing, and the art of the Giants is so cool.
I️ bought the game before I️ saw this 😎
me too never pre order games but for this sure why not lol
Same
Not many people know that you can put a permanent filter on.
This game is amazing, and it's going to be even better. Can't wait!!!!
Love this game so much and glad its remastered. Jesus the intensity when u whistle and the giant stops and slowly turns and looks at u 👀🔥epic
Beautiful and well detailed environments, check. Good audio design, check. Great gameplay, check. This just made me interested in playing SOTC
OMG I have been searching for this game for such a long time and now I know what it’s called, also it’s a remake!
I just can’t believe I actually found it I was so young when it came out and it really opened a whole new world for me I can’t wait to play it
Will it ever come to switch?
Very excited to try this. I heard about it a lot as being a fantastic game but this revamp will be the first time I play it myself. And luckily I’m exactly the kind of person to get excited about graphics
Favorite 2 battles, the water dragon and phalinx b/c their just awesome
I have a PS2,and i've never heard about this game before. I'm very happy that I got curious about the giant monster on the PS4 cover. This game,
needs to be more popular, and more talked about.
It is popular tho
Why a dlc and not a full game?
Getting you Triggered lucky you got it early
Thanks for informing me that they took away a huge chunk of the game!
Heh I almost fell for buying this game.
I've been playing video games for over 25 years and I've never heard of this title before a couple months ago. Looking forward to playing it.
I still have my original PS2 disc from 11 years ago! I love how its now full of life grass and all
this is the one game I was looking forward to in 2018, I've never played it and have been holding out for this remake. got it earlier today and I'm loving the shit out of it. I've only fought five colossi because I spent so much time exploring and climbing random rock faces, hunting lizards. I'm having a lot of fun. sucks mhw and this came out around the same time and I have to choose which to play ahaha.
"Stick in your mind" ... as he continues to stab a sword into a collosus' skull
I really want to play this one again. I mean, the last time was in the ps2 era and it has been on my mind ever since, but the sheer number of quality titles that are out now and are on the horizon are going to consume way more spare hours than I have on my disposal.
The game is a blast to revisit! The graphics and minor control changes got me finishing this game one more time!
I've been on Playstation since 2 and I've somehow missed playing this game smh so this will be my FIRST play-through!
LjSwaGGin92 I’m jealous
Amanda Zurenda go get it too! Don't miss out on this great remake 👌
I envy you, to be able to go through this game blind. I wish I could do that again, that feeling of "what the fuck do I do to kill this thing?" just won't come back.
This game inspired the legendary, “Dragon’s Dogma”. One of the greatest RPG’s ever made
Never played the original, sadly.
Still a fun game, I only just wish that there was a little more to it
my favorite part was at the end when wander says "i guess i was the shadow of the colossus the whole time"
Wow thanks for the spoiler.
bro cmon
So you ride around and do the same thing 16 times? I dont get it.
Thank you for mentioning wander's face, I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt it was odd. Or different
I love this gane so I'd get it
There were originally 48 planned. They should make to 48 collossi
Jack_Sparrow I don’t they legally own the rights to them
Jack_Sparrow bluepoint did ask fumito ueda about those cut boss, ueda didn't want those boss to be in game. I think, ueda just being a jerk there.
there was never 48 Colossi planed the 48 was just concept art cut down to 24 then had 8 cut from the original prototype because the 8 cut Colossi were to similar to the 16 they already made
First time playing it (can’t believe I didn’t play it on ps2) on my second colossus and I gotta say I hate killing those gorgeous giants
mustafahusham1 PLEASE DON’T GOOGLE HOW TO BEAT ANY OF THE COLOSSI
I’m sick of people missing the point of this game after watching walkthroughs.
I never got the chance to play it that back in the day but I am really looking forward to getting into it.
In my top 10 games of all time, and always will be, beautiful, brilliant, and for me just so relaxing to play. Number 3 will always be my favourite.
Never played the original, bought this remake, absolutely loved it
I am so confused. Why did you love it? I've been riding the horse only for the last hour and can't find the giants. All I've been doing is riding a horse. Seems like a huge waste of time.
"This is not the same like others souless remake game, this is rebuild"
Gameranx 7/2/2018.
i bought this back in the day after seeing reign on me but i never could beat it. can't wait for it to go on sale and finally finish this beautiful game
Loving it! My only visual complaint is that the black noodles don't look as "violent" when they enter his body.
Shadow of the Colossus - Before You Buy
you havent bought it yet?
It's been 12 years... since this game came out in Australia... and I bought a PS2 just to play it and only it. One of the best purchases I made, if only to play that one game.
Picked it up today and the feels and memories come flooding back. It's still a masterpiece in every way and I'm glad the only change is graphics and controls, both needed modernising and it works so well.
Shadow of the Colossus gives the PS4 its own zelda, a must play. i did miss the PS2 classic. as did not know about it at the time. as the PS2 had so many games made for it.
I brought this today from amazon, have never played it so thought I would give it a try, looks good.
Memor Esto yeah I know I'm asking if they added any in this version
Deadwolf nah. Its so sad as this would've been an awesome opportunity and selling point
5 good games so far 2018 looking good for gamers
Alex Madness what are the other 4? Just wondering.
CrownTheJeremy monster hunter is 1
CrownTheJeremy Monster Hunter World, Dragon Ball Fighterz, UFC 3, and The Inpatient
Not Celeste!? Come on. You can’t just look at the triple A games.
P H Ma bad ma mans I'm mostly a triple a gamer, i usually only play indie or platformers when they're free cuz I'm cheap af
The hair works is amazing
Single player game? Excellent title remastered? On the console I own? Price? Ooo, I'll wait for that price to go down a bit.
Did you get it.
*Monster hunter world dlc came quick*
Memor Esto I played shadow of the colossus on ps2 when I was in elementary school dude. This game is a huge part of my child hood. I simply made a joke about it being that you “hunt colossal monsters” since there’s been so much monster hunter coverage everywhere on CZcams that I felt I wasn’t the only one that would get the joke.
Memor Esto You mean mona lisa to mona lisa
my favorite part of Shadow is how empty and nothing there is to do besides the colossus
I know it's a minor thing, but... that grass is gorgeous.
In a small cave in the pine forest, you can find a barrel from The Last Guardian, so they’re now in a connected universe?
That was confirmed ages ago, ICO and TLG are all connected
Yeah I realized that after I commented, that explains the pool of water in the temple that looks like the one from TLG
These things were namely:
The camera.
I like how you have done this on the day it came out
Masterpiece
just spent 3 hours with this game.
@@Nachotina Its supposed to work. Not to have terrible controls or physics.
Wth why does everyone thinks that the controls are bad dude I'm mainly a pc gamer and played it the controls didn't bother me a bit, and now, it's my most most favorite game.
Just got this game, and man it's one of the most beautiful games I've ever played.
Hey I'm new to the PS4 world just picked up this game for the hell of it any tips or anything I should know about before I jump in
I feel like nostalgia is heavily affecting your perspective of how good it is. I am intrigued by this game but I think i'll wait for a sale.
Connor Anderson I first played this game like two years ago and it’s still one of my top 3 favourite games
It’s starting at a retail price of $40
15.99 right now
Before you buy? More like after you purchase because the game so dadgum good
Looks amazing. Would this even run smoothly on ps4 non-pro?
Preordered mine. It's amazing so far!
