Morgott really needs more health
he really does, I was underleveled for Leyndell, and still ended up killing Morgott first try.

To be fair, Morgott is a sort of mid-boss, designed more as a test to see how much you've learned while playing. That's why he's familiar, but also sports new moves. He's challenging, but not terribly so. He employs a lot of mechanics you've likely seen while exploring, and forces you to play smart. Just as he was a great first real boss for many, he's a great mid-boss. If only the final boss was as great, well, the first half was great, while the second half is RNG based and boring.
ngl I love his combos in the Margit and Morgott fights. Had serious trouble against him in my first playthrough but one shot him in Ng+ and Ng+2.

Just like Margitt, this boss is a stat check with moves too hard to dodge, but you can trade him to death.

There's no such thing as "overleveled" in Elden Ring unless you know exactly what's supposed to be fought in what order. If you just play the game at your own pace and go through the content you find first, you'll end up overprepared for the thing you do second. It's practically unavoidable. I did all of Nokron, Deeproot Depths, Nokstella and upper Liurnia before doing Lyndell so I absolutely annihilated Morgott, but if I'd done it in the reverse order I would've annihilated Fortissax.
@@PH_777 that would do it. +9 is really OP for that area, ( +5 would be meh, +7 good). Armor used was also good against morgott, counters his damage well. He did some good exploring.

@@youlookdifferent Because the heavy damage, it's like using the dual blades in darksouls 3 you just spawn 1 move and they do more damage each hit.
Look at asmongold build that shit was doing so much damage
@@_------------_eh Morgott is just a squishy dude. Bro looks like he's well over level 100 here, pretty much any plus 10 or more weapon tears Morgott apart. It's the most disappointing thing about this fight. I was chunking the shit out of Morgott with basic light attacks using a zweihander
