Definitely a disturbing scene.
This is terrifying. That's my fear tbh. Working and someone snaps
It is scary and the reason why it is scary is because I feel like it is realistic. The idea of surviving something like this gives me chills. The PTSD that follows after a traumatic experience like this is too much to bear.
One of my favorite flicks, but this was gruesome. Renner and Weisz were awesome in it and the rest of the cast was stellar.
I will never work anywhere, at any time, where I can't have a weapon at any time it pleases me to do so.
I just realized, the shooter is the same guy who took Dr. House hostage in that one episode of House M.D.
I remember not liking this film in the cinema, but this scene was excellent.
imo The first half was awesome, the second half just kind of teetered out
I watched this movie in theatres and the audience was on the edge of their seats during this scene. It gives me so much anxiety watching this. The reason why it scares me so much is because I feel like it is realistic. Marta may have survived this lab attack, but the trauma and PTSD that she developed afterwards was so realistic. Rachel Weisz did a great job expressing that. Just imagining what it would be like surviving something like this in real life is so scary.
My dad was watching this movie the other day in our basement. I was in the kitchen at the time and as soon as i heard the noises of that machine during 00:00-00:45 I knew instantly that he was watching Bourne Legacy. No dialogue needed. That is how much of an effect this scene had on me.
Some of the fellows at my singing group are pro-gun. I immediately told them to look up the Bourne legacy laboratory scene... I told him that's what guns are for. And access codes etc. Shut him up. Except that they were offended... They're rough enough to chat about guns but too delicate to watch this scene?? The Bourne series was incredible. My favorite of course is the first film.
What does the scene have anything to do with being pro-gun?
I’m based in Australia where guns are practically non-existent like they are in the US but can only imagine how mass shooting survivors and even children who’ve survived watching their peers gunned down would resonate with the scene and the sheer terror it invokes
wtf nobody in america can imagine either.
practically non existent? over one million licensed shooters in australia
@TryNDoxMe it only appears that way, liberals have pushed the path so far left the centre has moved
@@sloppydoggy9257 except all the kids from Sandy Hook, Parkville, Uvalde, etcetera etcetera… which is what Op was referring to.
Now imagine if someone in that room had a concealed carry weapon.
The way that the robotics noise feels like a Bernard Herman score
My dad was watching this movie the other day in the basement. I was in the kitchen at the time and I heard the noises of the robot at the beginning of this clip. I knew instantly that my dad was watching Bourne Legacy. That is how much of an effect this scene had on me. As soon as I heard those robot noises a chill went down my spine.
Most disturbing scene in a pg-13 rated action film
Nah it's a good scene. Necessary
@@swelly84 it can be both good and disturbing
Jack Reacher opening scene is way more realistic and scary but this one hits home
Scary thing is this is a movie example of a real life thing. MK Ultra aka Monarch mind control is real.
lol no

@@Nocturne22not laughing out loud... Yes. People who were in it and others years ago confirmed it was/is real. Sorry but trying to suggest conspiracy theory as an argument doesnt work on the general populace anymore.
@@jeremysteele3098 Braindead
People only know little about what MK Ultra actually is, and even in the movies they portray, the real thing is watered down.
Too real.
Excellent !
How The gunman shooting the bulletproof glass was similar to the main character in “ The man from nowhere “
This is the Reason why I will NEVER work in a Lab!!!
looks like the same gunman who was on House MD
Exactly my thought.
Someone should dub this scene with half kife sfx
Love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩.
2:08-2:12 Help! Open the door! He’s shooting at us!
I was 12 watching this, and that was a dark year for me because of the theater shootings, so this REALLY disturbed me in the theater.
Systematically and methodically he doing his thing
They never explained why this guy went rouge and started killing people? There must have been a scene cut that would give a reason.
@Hemi Hemi is that a guess or is that actually true?
Eric Byer (Edward Norton's character) used a Behavior Modification Protocol to "Activate" the Gunman into killing specific people at the lab. Basically, the Gunman was hypnotized (for lack of a better word) over a long period of time to act as a preprogrammed failsafe in case the CIA needed to bury their operation.
Within the movie there is a specific "supersoilder" program within the Federal Goverment was shut down for some reason. In order to properly ensure confidentiality and a proper conclusion to the program, it was decided to eliminate the supersoilders and the producers of the medicine that made them supersoilders. The supersoilders were killed via poisoning or the remotely deployed ones were killed via drone strike. All the lab workers in the scene were producers of the super drug, and so was the active shooter. The active shooter was drugged and given specific influences to terminate everyone in that lab including himself.
@@DrMosseeay by the girl is still alive. Would she do something later?
@@Leap6 Yes. She would attempt to flee the situation, but the Federal Agents would start to make attempts on her life. She would meet up with one of the supersoilders who survived the purge, Aaron Cross, and they would carry on the fight together. I hope I avoided some spoilers with that.
This guy is just taking his time he don’t try to kill everybody fast he is taiking he’s time like a sociopath he just take he’s time
Yeah he definitely is taking he’s time AINT he? Also talking his time u right crazy huh hahah
Dang man you’re right he sure does take his time, like, a lot of his time is taken slowly. One could say he takes his time.
Yes we get it he took his time. Now maybe you can take your time to type a coherent fucking sentence.
he was programmed, he has no feelings, so he simply fulfills the task assigned to him to remove witnesses
Still a very haunting scene, seems too real
at Fort Detrick, Maryland, eh...?
And later he became White House chief of staff.....😱😱😱
Cordell? Cordell? CORDELL!! CORDEEEEELL!!!
Yep, Zeljko Ivanek played 'Dr Cordell Doemling' in the 'Hannibal' movie. He's a Slovenian-American actor.
@@MrSnout5 I was quoting Mason Verger’s final words upon realizing Cordell activated Verger’s wheelchair into drive sending him into the hog pit. He would have reacted the same way if Cordell was to shoot him dead.
@@WizardOfHumor1989 Ah yes, I remember that scene. It was good that you picked up on it; Ivanek is obviously good at playing these types of murderous character.
I thought I recognised him

Lol I’m here in this movie because they were filming in the Philippines, and I’m Filipino, proudly pinoy
When you are locked in a room with a crazed gunman, the best thing to do is panic.
The best thing to do is fight not panic you shouldnt ever make stupid comments like this
@@honoramd6176it was obvious sarcasm , 🤦♂️
I'm wondering why didn't any of those men try and do something when he was reloading....
Because it's hollywood and it wasn't written into the script...no scene if everyone does what any normal person would do.
2:39 pffffff look at this idiots hiding spot 😂. I never realized it until now but she literally has the worst hiding spot ever 😂. I know it’s supposed to be an intense scene and everything but I started laughing when I saw her hiding spot. It’s like hiding behind a pole.
Random but does anyone know what gun he used
It's called a prop!
Should've at least rushed the shooter when he was reloading.
In situations of panicking for your life, most people don't rush the threat.

2:09 how does he already have either blood stains or gun shots on his back when he was no where near the first 3 victims?
Notice how when he gets shots he ends up with heaps more of those same spots on his back so I’m gonna go with gun shots which the make up artists didn’t do a very good job at concealing before he was shot 😅
You are not good at watching movies.
This Indian guy is the 2nd guy the shooter shot at 1:48.

Dude it's a high security lab working on government project, they wouldn't allow guns in there in the first place. The gunman only got his because it's the literal government they're working for that's killing them. Stop viewing real politics through Hollywood action movies ffs
