The Jason Bourne films are a series of American action, spy and thriller films based on the character of Jason Bourne, a CIA killer suffering from amnesia, created by writer Robert Ludlum.
It's been twenty years since Jason Bourne (Matt Damon from Good Will Hunting and The Martian) stepped away from the agency that turned him into a true human weapon. Hoping to bring him out of retirement, CIA director Robert Dewey (Tommy Lee Jones from the Men in Black saga) hires hacker and counterinsurgency expert Heather Lee (Alicia Vikander from Tomb Raider and The Danish Girl) to find him. Lee suspects that former agent Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles from 10 Things I Hate About You and Riviera) is also looking for him. As he tracks these two, Jason Bourne finds himself back in the thick of the action against a sinister network that uses terror and technology to keep himself in control.

i'm sure there are a lot of people like me who're extremely passionate about JASON BOURNE series.... so is there any chance that we would witness another movie part of this franchise..? i'm very curious to know if jason bourne is completely wrapped or something really coming in the near future...? would be very very nice if it does.. please tell me, anybody :)
Hi, (to your point) I could agree with you simply based on Bourne's behavior...but based upon Bourne's background/training to be vigilant/mistrustful, his learning of his own emotional/psychological manipulation (from his training), his personal guilt/remorse about his own role/actions as an assassin, and other experiences/developments over the arc of the Bourne series [Maria's murder, Nicky's murder, his father's murder, being chased, fighting adversaries, injuries incurred by adversaries, (developed) distrust of/ disillusionment with government, etc., etc.] - and to add to all this, possible depression caused by part/all the above - his continual dour, brooding manner might be understandable...with ALL this stated, I recall some moments in the Bourne Identity after his meeting Maria (Zurich) - before learning about his own identity and before the experiences/developments of the (Bourne) series after that meeting point - that he smiled and was more lighthearted...
Nevertheless, even if you were to agree with me about my statements above, I could still understand if you simply do not prefer/enjoy watching someone that basically never smiles (etc.)...

@@HaiderAliKhan I thought they would be splitting the series with Jeremy renner. I don't think Matt Damon will do anymore but hopefully I'm wrong. I hope you liked legacy as they'll probably be based off that line. They always seem tight lipped about future movies.

Biggest suspension of disbelief…that elevator would open right up for him and not have to stand there and wait 6 days like in real life.

When the agents yelled DOWN, a large group of running, screaming, frightened people dropped to the floor in 2 seconds.
No, they had 100 retakes because the elevator won't do it's part properly.
Even bigger suspension of disbelief, the sniper who killed Marie, and when the Assett shot Nicky, had moving targets, in marie's case, he couldn't even see her, wiith the assett, it was dark, fires, flashes and a rapidly moving target, yet they make clean shots in both cases, yet in this scene, the assett has a stationary target, and a clear shot. We have to suspend belief, just as we have to suspend it with Bond, but you can only suspend it so far.

I know people complain about how disorienting the shaky cam can be in Supremacy and Ultimatum, but in the 2016 Jason Bourne movie, I think Greengrass has actually reeled back the shaky cam just enough so that the scenes are coherent while still feeling chaotic.
As much as I hate the story in this movie, the action is probably the best in the entire series, and I will die on that hill.
No the first movie has the best action and is the best hands down in all departments.
As a die hard, and I mean die hard Bourne fan, I stand behind the shaky cam for one reasons. Specifically for the fight scenes, I always saw the shaky cam as a way to demonstrate how fast the minds of these agents and Bourne operate. They don’t operate the same way as our normal boring brains lol. They can detect and defuse a situation in a matter of seconds and during a fight, their brains are like a super fast moving clock while being their calmest I believe. So that’s what I always saw reason for the shaky cam.
But I wholly understand why people don’t like it. I remember seeing JB 2016 in theaters opening day, because I was so damn excited. And my mom left in the middle of the motorcycle chase because it was too fast for her. So I’m not disavowing anyone who doesn’t like it. These movies are just a tentpole of my life and my childhood that I can’t complain lol.

Why are they wasting effort & manpower tracking Jason Bourne when you have **an active assassin** in the building and still on the loose??!! You have the assassin's pictorial image!!! I know, I know--"it's only a movie", but it's a movie whose actions in this scene strain credibility..
Because they employed the assassin? The shooter is an asset and the CIA guys have no reason to chase him.
Have you watched the movie? The "asset" works for the CIA and so does the entire security team. They are on the same side under orders of Dewey.

Why the hell did the production manage to reduce a great actor like Vincent cassel to a standard villain? He deserved a lot better.
Yeah that guys good in just about everything I remember seeing him in. I even watched a couple of his French movies lol.
Some of the best actors around tend to play villains in more action or blockbuster films. A lot of English theatre actors do the same.
He is French. That is the reason why in Hollywood movies he is given bad guys role.

There was talk of a sixth one, but I'm not sure anymore. I personally think, they should make one movie and wrap the story and maybe help Bourne finally find some peace
