Guys this is a weird fix but this is what worked for me: press the power button once (don't hold) then quickly press space bar and then type your desktop login code. As soon as I did that in desperation the screen lit up and I screamed in exhausted happiness

I was just gonna repair my PC through troubleshooting and end up losing all my data and games but this was the last video I came through and decided to follow your advice then guess what? I learned that my one hard drive failed on me and while I could salvage the data on it, I had to replace it. I thought it was a video card issue at first but it was the hard drive.
my pc randomly when i restarted it started working and functioning correctly but when i got to the blue windows loading screen after it i just got a black screen and i could still see my cursor and it kept continuously loading and my keyboard did not work at all and i cant go into safe mode or anything like that because my bios is ancient

Another fix is if you have 2+ video cables plugged in, unplug everyone except for one screen that you can actually use. It should give you whatever menu you were missing. For me I had factory reset my pc and couldn’t get the set up to start, this fixed it.

After the black screen I booted to command prompt mode to check if my files were still there, they were then I looked for solutions because this should be something os related and was about to run startup repair and then remove recent updates. I saw the video and thought i should try to boot normally once again and it worked. Don't know what happened.

That could possibly be the graphics card itself MAYBE. I would try to uninstall the graphics card and put it back in and see if that does anything. Also see your ram could be the problem as well.

If the tip in the video didn’t work for you then you have to reinstall windows. So you’d have to change your reboot to start up off a hard drive with windows on it. There’s a whole tutorial on it bro.

Idk if this will work since i was messing with stuff in the display setting trying to set up my monitors correctly with how i have them set up on the mounts and it wouldn’t let me do any changes so i scrolled down and saw something that I don’t really remember the name but it was “3D” something and i clicked it and nothing happened so i pushed the X to close it and then my screen went black and i then pushed windows+ctrl+shift+B and turned my pc off because I didn’t think anything was working and then i went into bios and just turned on xmp or whatever to overclock my ram and saved and exited and im at the start screen with a few white dots circling like it’s loading or something and then it goes away after a bit and stays a black screen but i can mover my cursor, i hope this works anyway

@@tm_esco i bought an external ssd and connected it to my pc, disconnected my hdd and other ssd and close to nothing got erased so if thats an option for you, id definitely do that instead. unless you dont mind losing your files from before
@@slxmss3047 well I followed the video instructions and just left my laptop on for a while. It magically repaired itself but took just under 5 minutes with SSD. I still don't know what triggered the issue but just installed Malwarebytes and ran a full system scan. Fixed a couple things to now it's fine. Thanks for the suggestion anyway. Losing my data and games was the last thing I wanted.

I hope to say thank you too, because mine has stayed for 3 hours and is still the same black screen with white cusor.
When I turn it on it load and shows windows also then it moves to the black and white cusor screen, after somewhile it shows my desktop name and then goes back again to black and white screen.
The keyboard keys are not responding, Ctrl+alt+del.
And mine switched to the black and white screen with cusor ones I mistakingly clicked high screen contrast,
And I have even tried clicking left shift+left+prnscr
Nothing worked
But I'm hoping something does work
Worst case scenario you have to reinstall windows
