Thank you for taking the time to do this review. I just bought one of these at Fleet Farm today, and there are no instructions with the flashlight. The packaging advertises 7 modes. After playing with the power button I could only discover 3. The Energizer website didn't offer the instructions I was after. After you pointed out that it can go from focused beam, to flood, then that connected the dots for me. Thanks again!
Via Trial & Error : Switchon; Depress power button for 5 secs, light will dim & widen, then blink - you are now in wide mode. (only 1 (diffuse lens) of 3 led lights will be on)
These flashlights are by far the best value I have ever seen in a midsize. They go on sale at lowe's for around $20. Fantastic build quality and brightness for this price point.
I watched this video just to get the batteries in. No instructions in the package. Then I noticed the diagram on the battery cap and felt a little silly for not seeing it before.
I'm sold I saw this somewhere your review sold it to me I can get this for 30 pounds and the shop I saw it in has a absolutely no quibble money back guarantee. Andy England 🇬🇧👍
Dittos on everything Ernie said below except I didn't see the inside of cap. So it's a good thing you did this video James as I had the batteries in upside down and was very disappointed and ready to return it to Home Depot. Thank you very much sir. No directions, I can't believe it. I would have never figured out all of the features.
I sure like the way it illuminates whatever those little moving particles you have in that room bro. You seem to have a nice collection....but you need a heck of a lot of batteries.....for all those., Lesley from down under in New Zealand, .
Bob...Me too Ernie...but the diagram should have been in written format. Also, had some trouble getting the cap back on..light is fantastic after that.
So if you're wondering like I was - the batteries go in, black end first. And even if you think the cap is screwed on all the way, you have to screw it in even tighter, for it to work.
It does not specifically state this in the attached article, but I believe having 900 flashlights in your bedroom does meet the criteria for OCD (emphasis on the C). About 1% of Americans 18 & over have been diagnosed with OCD. Millions more have it to some lesser degree.
Having owned it for 1 day (gift for wife), I have a preliminary review. It is made in China & the batt's in Singapore. It has NO MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY. Lowes said they will give it a full warranty for 90 days. The Digital Focus Tech. transitions so slowly & with only a little change from bright to low, it is of little use & not needed. The light is bright, a good clear 'color', better than most. While covering a good close area and reaching a far distance, it does not have a 'flood' option to brighten a large area close by & doesn't 'zoom' as far out with a clear view like others of similar Lumens, yet it is nicely balanced coverage between near & far. It is simpler than tactical lites to operate, with Hi, Lo & Strobe modes which is all u need & I like better than the 5 mode lites. Another good point is that you shut it off in any mode for > 2 sec's & it auto. reverts back to Hi mode. It has a rounded back, so u can't set it down in 'flood' mode to lite up your work area, hands free. The casing is a slick metal, which is not a secure grip & it's cold when it's freezing out. The back cover is the only removable part, giving access to battery compartment & it to is slick & can be difficult to remove. Be cautious when tightening back down = u can easily strip the threads on it if it's mis-aligned. Note, it's a different set up, with about 1" of the back 2 batt's protruding when you put the cover back on, pushing the batt's down against the hidden springs for a solid contact. Having read many reviews, I consider it a little overrated, especially considering it does not come with a warranty. Because it provides an excellent, bright, balanced coverage light, has only 3 smart modes, simpler than tactical lites to operate, strong construction & can be purchased at Lowes for $20.00, I consider it a good buy. I prefer the 'Police Security Elite Zephyr' 1800 Lumen f-lite which I purchased at BJs.com with coupon for $25.00 with lifetime warranty = Excellent deal. Currently there for $30.00. This is it & it's an awesome f-lite: policesecurity.com/product/zephyr-silver-9aa/
Wrong. I got 1, 12/17/18. It is made in China, batt's are made in Singapore. It comes with 1 instruction (hence, I wanted to see someone operate it so not to miss anything & avoid trouble). It is easy to figure out how to operate. Be careful when screwing back cover on or u will strip the thin threads. All batt's go in tit (+) end 1st. I will not tell u all how good it is until I verify through significant use to determine if all works well, beyond week 1. Thank u Xml James for this effort.
@@ljp1942 Helo Johnnie. Now, that is strange, but it has other strange components to it's story. i.e.: mine has no manufacturer's warranty. Lowes will guarantee it for 90 days. Take care.

As soon as I saw that cabinet my first thought was "whoa, this guy LOVES his flashlights." That's quite a collection there...

Thanks for this. I didn’t even know about the other two modes. It’s a beast for the price.

Same. Lol
Me too!
Just saw the diagram after struggling to get it to work for a day.

Can you do reviews on your ozark trail's bushnells and 5.11
The light head gets really hot. Is that normal?
I just mounted one of these on my mountain bike it's cheaper and brighter than the bike lights they sell.
Hey buddy I know it's been a long time has the button worn out on your battery flashlight
Еще работает ? На сколько хватает батареек в ярком режиме?
Dude sounds like Herbert from Family Guy 😄
Just replaced the batteries and it only turns on sporadically. Corrosion perhaps?

Can you put a lithium battery in?
Any AA should do just buy good quality batteries
You sound like that guy from family Guy lol
The only issue I have with this flashlight is that it burns through batteries rather quickly which is bad considering the cost of batteries.
@Scumspawn ***** I did think of doing this and I think I will.
For the money this torch beats much more expensive options and is made in America.
