I got this torch in 2020 and after an hour of being board with the idea of 3 AAA batteries being in my life, i stripped it down and made 2 mods to safely accommodate a decent 18650 and OMG what a difference. For the money there are brands out there charging 5+ the amount for equivalent power after this mod. The leds are controled by a pwm circuit the same that's in the 6 cell version but an 18650 will kill remote control batteries multiple times over.
Got one a few days ago but mines sad 270 lumens. It is not a pure white light but has a yellowish hue to it. I’m not pleased with t fr that reason and I will be returning it. I wish the manufacturers of these type of lights would change how these type of flashlights turn off and on. I like when your turning the flashlight off that you don’t have to cycle through the modes to get it back to your last setting.I got mines from Home Depot for about $13.50.
I’ve got a little bit of a flashlight collection and strongly prefer higher cri variants.. I bought one of these on impulse and was pretty impressed for its $9 price tag. My girlfriend at the time immediately stole it.. which was fine as I’d mostly bought it on impulse out of curiosity. Iirc, the beam was a little green.. or maybe blue for my tastes and lacked the sub lumen low that I prefer to have. Regardless, aside from the stupid battery configuration (necessary I know), it was a solid little light. Would recommend to the average, non flashlight, non li-ion charger having person.
I have the 2AA $20 300Lumen Vision HD light and recently bought the $15 250Lumen 3AAA version. I like both of them. The AAA one has less runtime but the AA one has a tiny on switch that is kind of stiff that I feel wont hold out all that long. The AAA one has a much softer switch that is not small that I feel will hold up much better. The AAA one seems a tad more floody but that AA one is far brighter.
@daniel henry They work good just what are you using them for? Overall I mean if you want overall, I got the coast led HP7 5 inch size, it fit perfect in my hand lightweight. I use this for mostly everything.

That's not good. I bought a second one and gave it to my dad and both are working great. Did you make sure the batteries are in correct? Negative side goes on the springs
No. Not sure if any (at least consumer level flashlights) are made in the U.S. anymore. Might be some military grade ones that are $300 a pop but even then it will still use China LED, China electronics and China switches.
Does it matter if it made in usa??? I mean my coast led are made in china product of german qaulity still running... I use to had maglite but I lost them....
It also has a strobe mode. You have to press and hold the botton, for the strobe mode to turn on.

You should make a video showing how to do this mod.
I would love to see a tutorial bro
What was the mod? I'm guessing, a sleeve to accomodate the thinner battery and ?
does it work with rechargeable batterys
Thanks for video I guess I'm one of those people that don't read instructions neither because I went to CZcams to see how to put the battery in.

Unboxing is pure waste of time for the viewer.
Be prepared and save us much time.
It is not interesting to watch the batteries being placed etc.
Some people like the unboxing and some don't want stuff cut out as it may be relevant to their needs.
