    This was fire and gave me an idea. If you use pothos plants don’t add soil keep only water drill 1 or 2 holes at the top of the cap. This way when you add new water old water will empty out. My plants thrive in only water at home. I’m definitely stealing this idea. Just going to change the things I’ve said. Also I would’ve went with bigger holes the vines will get thicker and I’m not sure if they will know. I guess it’s only seconds so you can expand as you go. I would also make sure my hooks wrapped it not drilled it.

    Good thing you added mesh on both ends, my ball python is so curious he would definitely find his way into the end.

    Wonder about setting it at the bottom of the enclosure. The plants will grow to the light. That would look nice. And you could even trellis it along the floor as it vines out. Good job I like it! I'm going to try something like this.

      I don’t have this set up anymore, but it worked while I used it. I have also done the same thing with large bamboo pieces, and that worked really well too.

    I assume you’d need some time for the plants to take before introducing your snake to the terrarium?

      It’s okay... haha the plants are starting to take but I’m not sure I’m happy with it. I’m thinking an enclosure make over is due soon

    How is this working out for you?

    • @AnimalsatHomePodcast
      @AnimalsatHomePodcast  Před 5 lety +1

      It was working out quite well, but I ended up moving this animal to a different enclosure and no longer had a purpose for the plants. If I were to do it again I would probably use bamboo stalk instead of PVC
