This was fire and gave me an idea. If you use pothos plants don’t add soil keep only water drill 1 or 2 holes at the top of the cap. This way when you add new water old water will empty out. My plants thrive in only water at home. I’m definitely stealing this idea. Just going to change the things I’ve said. Also I would’ve went with bigger holes the vines will get thicker and I’m not sure if they will know. I guess it’s only seconds so you can expand as you go. I would also make sure my hooks wrapped it not drilled it.
Glad to give you a good idea! Good luck with your project
Good thing you added mesh on both ends, my ball python is so curious he would definitely find his way into the end.
Genius, thank you for the idea!
Wonder about setting it at the bottom of the enclosure. The plants will grow to the light. That would look nice. And you could even trellis it along the floor as it vines out. Good job I like it! I'm going to try something like this.
That’s a great idea, thank you for watching!
just found your channel and love it very knowledgeable keep them coming paula England
Thanks for watching! Appreciate it 😊
Love the idea very creative :)
Any new updates or tips? I love this concept and want to figure out a way to make it work. Xoxo thank you!!
I don’t have this set up anymore, but it worked while I used it. I have also done the same thing with large bamboo pieces, and that worked really well too.
Neat!!
Thanks, Carley!
Nice
Thanks 😊
u always coming up wit something but its always amazing.. but did u do that for the look or To create a little more humidity in the brb enclosure????
Thank you! And yep, it was to help increase humidity! 😀 it’s been so dry this winter I wanted something a little extra to maintain humidity
Although hopefully once the plants grow in and fill out it will look good as well 👍🏼
ok thats cool.. i wouldnt mind doing that also for my brb but i have to get a drill gun & what brand/model is ur thermo/humidity meter an where did u get it from???
amzn.to/2ihcl1X that’s the link to the one I have, ordered from amazon as well
I assume you’d need some time for the plants to take before introducing your snake to the terrarium?
That definitely helps!
How has the ended up doing?
It’s okay... haha the plants are starting to take but I’m not sure I’m happy with it. I’m thinking an enclosure make over is due soon
How is this working out for you?
It was working out quite well, but I ended up moving this animal to a different enclosure and no longer had a purpose for the plants. If I were to do it again I would probably use bamboo stalk instead of PVC
@@AnimalsatHomePodcast thats a great idea. Thank you, going to try it with bamboo for my rainbow boa.
Good idea.. not so good executet. I dont like the way it looks. Maybe try a nother sort of plant when you are able too get it. But a very good Idea Indeed.
Agreed! Already have a few things in mind 👌🏼
Love the idea very creative :)
Thanks, Alyssa! 😊
