When you order they give you options. Such as led lighting which I selected and they offer lock set up for the glass doors like you would see at a pet store. I didn't get them with the locked door.option but yes they can be ordered that way. The glass is heavy and the lip inside the enclosure prevents her from pushing them open if that's a concern...but it's always good to be safe and if you put a snake.that gets larger in these then locking may be the best way to go
She tends to sometimes but she's getting better with age so I may stop wearing the gloves. I don't mind getting bitten by kingsnakes but the boas are another story. As a baby she did strike often out of no where and it gave me jump scares lol.
Nice set up! Elvira looked happy with her new home. I have an Animal plastics cage coming soon for my Columbian Boa. I hope she likes it.

Nice BRB. But they LOVE to climb. My BRB is always up in her vines and branches, don’t see how a x12 is suitable for a BRB.
I will most likely get this same enclosure but taller next year for her. Still has lots of space to explore.

Im def looking into getting a rainbow boa in the future, either that or a false water cobra so that's why I am looking at enclosures like this
Awesome you can't go wrong with BRB. False cobras look like a nice snake to work with but I don't know much about them

Is she super bitey? Is that why you are wearing gloves?

Do you use a heat mat underneath
How do you heat one of these enclosures?
I used a piece of heat tape on a small section of the enclosure. I use metal foil tape to stick the heat tape on it
