    * * READ SPECIAL NOTE * * Be sure the oil dipstick is removed prior to installing the oil pan because you can bend it and get it stuck! ( Don't ask how I know )

Guys, remove your oil dipstick before installing the oil pan, I just realized I got mine stuck somehow when I installed the oil pan, so most probably I have to do the thing all over again :c

Thanks, had no clue how GM engineers want to keep GM service @ $105 p/h profitable. Just wanted to check for sludge since those cam sensors are so sensitive to impurities. In your case, I would have taken up aluminum welding. What a pain!

This is what you get when an engine originally designed for a longitudinal application (the original high-feature v6 was meant for the first gen RWD CTS and the LY7 3.6 was developed by Holden, again for RWD applications) that the bean counters decide needs to be put into every platform possible with the cheapest possible modification for fitment. They even ask for a range of solutions that would include everything from a different block casting for certain platforms down to jb weld and duct tape...and the jb weld and duct tape solution is always selected because it's $3 cheaper per unit. Every. Single. Time. And who does everyone end up hating and blaming? The engineers.

yes , and it is as bad as it looks , however I haven't found too many things easy on these Acadias. The good news is that it worked perfectly with no leaks but it was a chore. I have a recent video on the valve covers that will give you nightmares I will share. I appreciate the feedback and thank you for watching.

    Thanks for the video.
How is the RTV holding up on the passenger side end, where the crankshaft pully is? I'm in the middle of this job myself right now.
For anyone else in this situation, I was able to loosen the transmission to engine bolts and gave my self some extra room between the timing chain cover and tranny. There are also three transmission mount bolts in the back that need to be loosened because the mounting bracket also ties into the engine.
