  • Whether you're a Roadtreker, a van lifer or a RV camper; you need to clean that freshwater tank filter to keep the water flowing. Here I am removing, cleaning, and reinstalling my freshwater tank filter on my 2001 Roadtrek 190 popular. I hope this helps you with your RV maintenance. Like and leave a comment with any questions you have. Thanks, I appreciate you :-)

While you had the filter assembly off you could of used a hot water tank blaster (Amazon) and cleaned out the water tank. Then you should bleach the tank and water lines (1/4 cup bleach). Let the bleach solution sit in the tank and waterlines 15+ hours then flush everything again. I'd do the bleach sit the flush a couple 3 times. Still you water filter tank is a great Idea. We just use bottled water for all of our consumable food food prep and drinking. We do wash with the onboard water but rinse with the bottled water. Maybe I'll trust the onboard water after driving and flushing the tank more.

Hi Kronick, I am currently recording a video on how I removed my microwave and installed a Gravity fed water filtration system. Hope to have it up in a week or so. This way no matter where I get my water from I know I’ll have unlimited filter drinking water. Keep an eye out for the new video and thanks for your comment.:)

Questions: what is the part number for the filter/hose connection that you cleaned?

My 2000 RT 190 P only has a two way fitting and yours has three. Where does the second hose connect?
