    Here's how it's really calculated: Let's say you are past due $1.00 (one dollar). By the time the State of Texas assesses fees, charges, and other stuff - you now owe $5,000.00. They send you a nice letter with a threat to send you to jail.

    Has anyone ever wondered why child support is demanded even with two parents who have no problem taking care of the child in a 50/50 parenting plan. Single fathers simply have to not consent. Take care of your kids in private. The child support agency is a collection company. Collecting a debt that you never signed up for. Keep it simple take care of your kids in private.

      That would mean the non custodial parent is responsible, mature and takes accountability for their children. Unfortunately, the Child Support office is needed for the immature parents who lpve to show boat physically in front of their kids but not pay a dime for their basic needs. 😕

      How is that dump if the other parent is the primary custodial parent?

      @@jcchrist7343 because the real question is if a parent can financially provide better for the child why would they give the child to the parent making less?
      Logically it makes no sense.

      @@iamPatG I’m with you on that, if a parent comes out to demand child support but makes less then the other, then they should automatically get your children to go live with the parent who makes more and can better take care of them.
      If you don’t have a job, no skills, and can’t do it on your own then you shouldn’t of had children yet so you need to go spend that time going to school or working on a career

    I have a question: I have a child support case against my son Dad in the state of Louisiana but he now live in Beaumont Texas so do I need to contact the state of Texas since he doesn’t pay his child support in the state of Louisiana?? He lied and told the judge he don’t have a job but I recently found out he has a Business in the State of Texas

    They take a percent of what you owe, multiply it by f and u, and subtract bills

    Is VA disability counted towards your income?

    • @coutureleotards
      @coutureleotards Před 2 měsíci

      VA pension cannot be counted as income but VA Disability can. VA disability cannot be garnished but someone can apply for an “Apportionment” if the veteran is not paying on time and in full. Ofcourse the VA will not approve it if it causes the Vet undue financial hardship.

    I get $170 a month for one child and non custodial parent only gets our daughter every other two weekends . I feel like that’s not enough money . Should I do a modification to the child support ???

      Sounds like the guy left you and set up child support on his own. That's what my dad did and the Payout was similar

      If he doesn't make much then yeah that's all you will get. 20% I think it's is of his income after all those calculations. Plus he should be paying for health insurance too.
