Greece has a huge music industry if we count number of singers etc etc.. yet they choose someone who is completely unknown to the public..

I'm personally glad that instead of sending already known artists, they choose to showcase their lesser known, but still incredibly talented artists. And if you look at recent Eurovision winners, all of them had little to no following before the contest.

@@lucas_8358 This tactic works pretty well. Greek music scene is more relevant in Balkans. Now if you get one Norwegian, it might reach Norway and Scandinavia. Previous year we've had a Greek from Holland. You get my point. Lately our music reached Poland and even Baltic states. We Greeks might not like when non-Greeks appear, but in the long term it might prove beneficial.
