Regarding your question: All monsters on chaosfields are elite monsters and all monsters on normal zones are normal monsters. If you check the info of a monster you can see right below its name the tag Elitemonster or Normalmonster. Field Bosses are bosses and dont count to any of the two.
Does player count as normal monster?

Heya Diggs awesome vid as usual love how you dig together all the info again in a easy format for explaination.
To answer a question crowd control includes the 3 big ones but also includes bind/taunt/silence for example.
Elites are Chaos field mobs. Bosses have a boss Tag in the name. If you look at food it has all 3 types of enemies named.
In terms of accesorries you combo it with Familiar status effects. Later they add a Fire familiar that extend burn duration/damage to burned enemies.

Chaos field is elite monsters you can see icon next to a name has little horns. Boss monsters have boss icon and normal monsters are simple diamond icon no horns on the side of it.

I can't believe I fed some of these to my other 4 stars as a newbie.
You missed one ring and earings, it's 3* and currently you can get it only from cockatrako bounty in a reward chest.
And as for dot damage, it can be applied to everyone, but some enemies and players can have effect resists which will lower % of application.

hello im fan of yours ni no kuni content.. I will really appreciate if you can teach me or tell me how to change those damn controls.. i need my dash/dodge to be in space bar not in shift.. sticky key always appear when i spam my shift to dodge during stun status T_T

Gems are a hoax. LOL I'm not the biggest fan of them.
max level is 5, transceded = can reach lv 6
I feel like the crit resists would be most important for witches, since they're such glass cannons, yeah?
Also, for rings, I got a Stellia Ring drop from farming in the ruins that isn't on any loot lists that give +5% defense to dark familiars. Obviously nowhere near BiS for normal use, but pretty good for a darkness team.
I'm not sure what makes a character a glass cannon/shield/powerhouse right now. I'm genuinely curious what the differences in base stats even are between the classes. Or if there is any.
You left out stellia ring, although i forgot where is came from and the source written is unknown.
Is it in the codex? Might be the purchase only ring?

9:55 isn't there a familiar that removes burn after healing? And most of these applied debuffs (Poison, frostbite, and burn) don't apply long enough to be considered for these accessories.
edit: okay it is mainly for PVP, but aren't these debuffs too short for the extra damage? I think it's trash :D Natrum's earrings or Demon's cube for me
imo, it's not how long debuff apllied but how consistently you can apply those buff. if you can apply burn for 3s every 5s, then bonus damage is worth it. If your only burn debuff source is Mite which has burn for 5s but 35s cd then it's not worth it. you have 30s down time without any bonus damage.
so unless you build all your special skill and familiar has the same debuff, it's not worth it.

Is crit the same thing as crit rate? When I open my stats it says my crit rate is 1.5%. Is the milky way bow the only thing that increases that?
I believe crit increases crit rate, but honestly I havn't looked into the equations yet. Or been able to find them.
I assume crowd control refers to burn/poison type debuffs

Elite is chaos fields, normal is normal field creeps. Bosses are a different thing entirely. This is what I heard so could just be bs.... -.-

Playing Ff BE, playing Wotv, tried Echoes of mana - rank 30 - deleted the game, wont try anything else, dont have much time left, barely play two of FF exvious :)
