A decent rival against Behringer Wings and A&H SQ's. It is at least as powerful as some of the large-format, heavy-duty digital consoles like Midas Pro 1 or Soundcraft Vi series. Dedicated FX sends/returns and native support of multitrack USB I/O are also great features which are seldomly found on traditional large-format consoles.
Here are some features I'd anticipate to see on the next version (Series 4?):
    1. At least 4 customizable fader layers - A single "user" layer is far from enough on such a beast.
    2. Input source A/B patching - There's already an A/B switch on board, so make full use of it to provide another wonderful feature for broadcasting and hybrid-mixing.
    3. Patchable insert points - Use physical ports to incorporate outboard gear into the mix, or use the powerful 64x64 USB soundcard to run some Waves processing.
    4. Dual AVB ports for redundancy.
    5. Better scene control system - Subdecimal cue numbers, more detailed scene safe/isolation functions, and use the "audio player" buttons as scene control buttons (Previous, Pause, Go, Edit)

Rick Naqvi what difference is there between the 32s and the previous flagship 32? I cannot seem to find that difference. (See edit note at end, I think I saw you answer this elsewhere .) That said, I wish I’d waited to buy until now! I thought for sure it would be another year or two before an update! ;( I guess I have to sell my 32 that I barely took out of the box last week. I also bought the 32r just to get to 38 channels (Or is it forty) and use it as a remote for my studio gear to plug into directly. This 64 would have been perfect. EDIT: I saw the other comment you responded to, so I think that answered it... once I update, my 32 will be the same as 32S internally... but not the 64 channels like this 64 model of course. However, can I use my 32R plus my 32 plus the update and get 64 channels recording to the DAW via USB, even though the 32 won’t be able to address all 64 channels internally, or no? That is a question I still am not sure about.

@@boothbuster How did you manage to COMPLETELY miss the point? I was VERY clear. My post has absolutely NOTHING to do with "USB-A"! So what the hell are you talking about? Re read my post in full, I never even mention "USB-A". maybe you'll get it the second time around... And do you really believe I never once thought about an adapter? Again, not the point... C'mon. Geez 😳... Cheers 🍺

@@esizzle I re-read your post and my point stands... just buy a high quality short adapter cable, gaffer tape it to the rear, and presto, you can use USB-C, and NEVER have to even think about the original USB-B connection. You will never disconnect the original USB port, thus less likely to fail on you. Win-win. No need for Presonus to cater to you specifically when others, like myself, prefer USB-B, and you won't have to worry about the lower insert lifetime of USB-B vs USB-C.

I only mentioned USB-A because I wasn't sure if you would be comfortable using the factory cable to get to USB-A first, then adapt from there. Otherwise just convert from B to C.

EDub Again, you've missed MY point even though you say you re-read. My point is the original one here and always was THIS...
The USB-B 2.0 MALE connector is a faulty design! This is no secret in the world of pro audio! In addition, the RECEIVER (female) for "USB-B MALE 2.0" on every unit of multiple brands has always failed eventually on every device I've ever owned or run on a gig or in a studio. THAT'S my point. It's a very simple concept...
I never asked anyone to cater specifically to me. I never asked for your advice on adapters. I don't need it. I'm a pro musician and producer 25 years strong 😉 and I make a living traveling the world with Recording Artists and run DAWs LIVE in Arenas and Showrooms. USB-B 2.0 receivers (female) and their male counterparts fail EVERY TIME! it's just a matter of time, no matter how much you baby these devices and sound cards. THAT is my point. Nothing else. Try and comprehend my complaint before you comment again with irrelevant, useless info. Even my six year old daughter knows what adaptors are!!!...
There are tons of people (not just me) waiting (three years or longer) for USB-C inputs to be mandatory. Not for 3.0 or 3.1 speeds. JUST for the secure, safe connection between devices. USB-C is a uniform design. There's no right-side up, no upside down! PC and MAC BOTH agree this connection is more efficient and upgradeable as well. Then for everyone with faulty USB-B MALE 2.0, they can all use your wonderful advice on all the silly adapters and you all can fidget around with all that crap, especially since its already basically obsolete. Or here's a concept- have both inputs on the unit for $3000 or even worse the A&H SQ7 doesn't even have it @ $5000!!! ... But myself and MANY others REFUSE to spend this amount of dough on something you need a silly adaptor for, especially when in a year or two everything's gonna have EXACTLY what I'm talking about! Should've already happened by now.
I was not opening a conversation about this like on some random opinion-based forum. I'm speaking DIRECTLY to them and nobody else. I'm saying what a million of us think and know but won't spend the time to type... "Give us USB-C dammit!!!" It's 2019 and it's on almost every successful modern device for the last three damn years!!! Mac already ditched BOTH THUNDERBOLT 1 & 2!!! (Yes, "THUNDERBOLT 3®" is just a fancy, proprietary sub-brand name for USB-C). Btw, I said this about Blu-Ray, SSD and I've been RIGHT so far. NOW THIS??? What the hell are y'all waiting for? C'MON LET'S GO! It's a damn connector. Upgrade!!!
Respectfully, in the future, when you spend time commenting on others' comments, make sure you fully try and comprehend THAT person's original point. After all, it is THEIR point! It makes absolutely zero sense AND is totally counter productive to chime in on something with "advice", "pointers" or comments which are completely irrelevant to the original point. This happens to me way too often on CZcams, so I feel the need to say this to hopefully stop this seemingly rampant ignorance. I hope this makes sense to you... Thanks! 🍺

Really don’t like this... I just saw the video! because this one have “64ch” is beating any one. Presonus wants to say with this is “we beating midas and Behringer or any manufacture because no one made 64ch” come on guys.. this hardware functionality is less then more, if someone looking for real professional live desk for more of 64ch go head and get Yamaha, midas pro or avid console!!!
