Jackie Kennedy, Senna and Cobain all in 1994 - tough call to who was most famous.
These lists are subjective because it depends on what decade, and what culture, you grew up in. Sure, a 1960s kid would say Ed Sullivan was the biggest death of 1974. But someone who grew up during the 1920s would say it was Charles Lindbergh, a huge celebrity after he flew solo across the Atlantic, and someone who grew up in the 1940s would say it was Jack Benny, the biggest radio star for decades. If you were black, you would say Duke Ellington. It's amazing how many great songs the Ellington Orchestra recorded.
