My mom will be 92 this December, growing up when we went to Chinese restaurants this is the dish she ordered, I think I’ll make this recipe Marion, mahalo nui.
Been wanting to learn this‼️
I made this tonight and it was amazing! Thank you Marion, you have taught me so much in the last year.
So tempting! 😍

Big fan here in Manila Philippines Marion,
I watched again your journey in Master Chef more than 10 years ago and just like before, I stopped watching the show when you left.
It's only been 3 years since I've seen you on CZcams and 2 years since I realized that you were part of the Master Chef and you and your attitude in cooking inspired me to experiment and to fall in love more in when preparing food.
Please let us know if ever you are to appear in any of the TV shows.
Thank you Marion!!
lovelove
Loved it. I have no other words.
Wonderful thank you so much 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you for the recipe. I am in the midst of a passion for Korean food after binging the Netflix series Wok of Love. I am so making this on the weekend.
Hope you enjoy it!
It’s called Oobleck. Every preschoolers favorite thing to play with. Love your videos!
Delicious food😍😋👍
I bought some fresh wood ear mushrooms at my Asian grocery and tried them for the fist time. They were so good. There were so many that I had to dehydrate the leftovers myself, and they shrunk way down! They rehydrate fairly quickly to their original form. I would say stalk up on these if you have a way to dehydrate and store them.
우리가 정말 좋아하는 탕수육~~~
*This recipe is really common and popular in korea. We often make it at home or have at the chinese restaurant ~~*
This looks amazing! I love those mushrooms! :)
Very delicious recipe. I am an avid fan
I must admit that i hit the like button even before i download the video....u just don't go wrong 😍
Aw thank you Regina!
Oh me oh my delicious 😋
Done my food shop and added all the ingredients into it for meal prep for the next week ahead 😁
Hope you like it!
The starch was in a form called oobleck! My kids and I love it.
I miss Korea all day, every day xD
yea, cucumber add up crunchy in the mouth, and it absorb the taste😋😋 irresistible yummy 😍😍
Korean is not an intoned language.it’s pronounced “tahng soo yuk”, all even in stress. It’s actually the Korean used version of a Chinese dish/word, and when you talk about Chinese food in Korea, it’s one of the main dishes you would get.
yeah, no wonder it sounds exactly like sweet & sour meat(pork) 糖醋肉 in Chinese😄😄😄
Nice 💓
DROOOOOLING!!!
Oh wow, non-newtonian fluid in a recipe. Dope.
Shit, you ninja'd me to this comment! 🤣
I was going to scroll to the next video, this comment made me stay 😆 had to see that 😆
Love all of your dishes amazing, can i use cornflour as i can not locate Potato Starch where i live.

I read the next season of Masterchef is a mixture of newbies and veterans any chance we will see you make an encore appearance while you're back in Aus? 👀 (Can you believe it was 12 years ago? 🤯)
Marion was never on MasterChef.
Mandela affect ?
@@JimboJones99 yes she was... Season 2 in 2010. Marion Grasby same season as Adam Liaw. It's what started her culinary career... look it up 😉
@@lucindas723 Mandela affect
@@JimboJones99 you can keep saying that but it's not a false memory. Season 2 Masterchef Australia.. look it up. Before that she was a journalist with a law degree if I recall
@@JimboJones99 master chef Australia
Can you please do more indonesian cuisine? Serundeng, opor ayam, ayam rica2, tempe bacem hmmm yummm
Second comment here and I have a question.
Can I use corn starch instead of potato starch?
Thank you
Thankyou, I was going to ask the same question as Ive never seen potato starch before. Ive never even heard of it before tbh! 😊
According to google they are subs for each other 1 to 1. Hope that helps
@@williamfowles2940 me neither
@@johnkozup9959 Thank you !
@@williamfowles2940 I attempted with corn starch and I have a bad memory of messing it up
You could fry shoe leather and the way you describe it would have us all salivating!! 🤤🤤🤤Yes...I'm drooling! Love ya!!
LOL
Tteokbokki pls
How can I order your sauces from the UK
Oh dear now I know about this brave new world of non-newtonian potato starch batter there's no turning back!
We have two options to eat this tang soo yuk one is dipping in the sauce and two pour the sauce and mix together
oooo make mochi!
I don't eat pork Marion but I could use fish or chicken .Thank you for the delicious yummy recipe.
Yes absolutely! Fish or chicken would be great :-)
How do you dispose of oil?
Imma use corn starch and see what happens!
I wonder if we could use corn starch instead of potato starch? 🤔
You could… Potato starch gives out crispier texture and corn starch gives out chewier and stickier texture
Where can we get Marion's sweet sour sauce?
Can you use corn starch instead of potato starch?
❤😍🤤
Marion, I absolutely adore your recipes. But I have one question, if I’m not imposing; how come the pork does not become soggy when you add it in the sauce?
Thanks for years of eating like an Emperor
it will become soggy eventually which is why restaurants only mix the pork with the sauce when you order it
if you want it to stay cripsy a little longer minimize the water in the sauce.
❤️👍
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Can you or others tell me the oil temperature I should be looking for? I’m not confident in the chopsticks bubbling.
According to google at 320f bubbles begin frail line. At 350f bubbles good flow around chopstick. At 375f jacuzzi level. Maybe that helps you.
@@johnkozup9959 thank you John.
탕수육 tang-soo-yook (where tang is pronounced like aunt), i think marion did a good job :)
Your Gorgeous!
Bom dia!
É possível ter legenda em português dás suas receitas deliciosas?
Obrigado!
'taang soo yook' is how to pronounce it :)
Sadly I can’t buy your products here in the U.K. Marion!
You can use my from scratch sweet and sour recipe from here Sandra :-) www.marionskitchen.com/sweet-sour-chicken/
Who watches T.V anyway? Besides we wouldn't want to share you with anyone else especially on T.V. 😂😂😂
탕수육
That batter is very much like slime
Nice recipe but this is the southern sweet and sour pork which is popular in western Chinese restaurants . The Korean sweet and sour pork is the northern Chinese shandong tangsuyuk which is quite different from this:)
It’s actually a Chinese dish even the pronunciation of it is similar to the Chinese name 糖醋肉(tang tsu rou)。
Oh my god! I'm sorry but your cameraman is hot! 😍😍😍 #crush
someone please tell me why my fried food is always soggy
Maybe the oil is not hot enough
First
It's a Korean rendition of a Chinese dish.
Not body shaming is she expecting again?
This is not Really Korean food
Not sure about this recipe because of using bottled "Sweet and Sour Source"! I'm 100% positive they don't use bottles of sauce in Asian restaurants! Out of 10 I give this a 2!
Since it's her sauce and her recipe, It's permissible.
Lol you think you're a cooking tv show judge or what? If you don't want to use bottled sauce just make it yourself, she tells you how to make it in pretty much all the videos featuring sweet and sour sauce
You d be surprised at how much prepared stuff is used is used in restaurants. Who do you think the gallon sized containers of s+s sauce are for?
