No one:
Jules: "hAnG aBoUt!"
Was gonna comment this. Lmao.
Yeah he tries really hard we get it
If you pause the game on Deadpool's level in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, he insults you for pausing the game
I just did and he does insult the hell out of you
@ScissorMeTimbers lol
@ScissorMeTimbers that game is dope though
Josh - "Hold me, Guinevere..."
Rach - "Just call her Boobs!"
Thank you both. Made my day!
Dishonored's ridiculous attention to detail for even the littlest of player choices/actions. Personal favourite, the wanted posters that would normally show your masked visage instead showing a question mark if you've never been seen i.e. during a ghost run.
Yes absolutely! God I freaking love Dishonored.
I love how common Ash sounded when she said "UFO", before correcting herself bless her.. Everything about her makes me smile..
?
Original mario as a small boy where you can skip to level 4 from level 1.2 ... my mind was blown at that age 🤯
When my friend showed me how to unlock the secret routes in Super Mario World, I thought she was a wizard.
Me too. The 2 warp options led me to doing my own personal speed runs before I knew they were a thing
X-Men on the Sega Genesis when you had to reset the computer in Mojo World you actually had to reset the Genesis. That blew my freaking mind.
Having the Castle flip in Symphony of the Night. In 1997...this blew me away. Today...this would have been spoiled by reviewers and youtube before the game even came out
CollectorFanatic101
The inverted castle isn’t really a secret in the context of the video. I’d just call it a plot twist.
@@OfficialCrowMauler It is a secret if you just finish it normally.
Paulafan5 Do you understand the term “context”, my friend?
Getting the axe armor from the librarian was a big secret.
I literally just put this as mine, and then I read your comment after I posted. Legendary game secret for sure!
For me I like the subtle stuff, like how the chapters in Dead Space literally spell out the twist at the end.
Also anything that involves putting a file through a spectrogram. Like you take a seemingly innocuous file, run it through a program and suddenly you’d get a hidden image!?! Crazy.
Step 1: Put Ash in the thumbnail
Step 2: Put Ash near the end of the video
Step 3: Wait for the thirst to turn to views
Step 4: Profit.
accurate asf.. got me
That's why I skip to the end
She has such good looks though, why NOT profit from that AND offer intresting conent at the same time x)
Just mute her and everything works.
@@JustGmakesitEZ i really like her voice that's my favorite part

I played MGS3 when it first came out on PS2 and, among the MANY reasons that game blew my mind, one moment that stands out most is one i ran across it myself by accident.
I just happened to save the game after [Spoiler] Snake gets tortured, shot, and loses his eye. The next day when I loaded my save I second guessed my own sanity when I'm playing a completely different game...fighting zombie policemen? I now know this was an Easter Egg referred to as Guy Savage but no one believed me the next day at school.
Gwenivere just hold me between your giant knockers and make all the bad things go away😢- Josh Brown.
For Josh Brown, have you thought it's not an illusion but her presence is providing the light and warmth for the area?
It would make sense that way, since she's expending so much power to take care of the land that a simple attack would end her and plunge the realm back into darkness.
God how I loved RDR and RDR2. In Red Dead Redemption 2 I was trying to explore the map and on the bottom left corner of the map there is a hill and a corpse marker on it so I spent about half an hour trying to get on it and when I made it there was a skeleton in a tattered robe (this is a part of the game where no one will ever go) and i looted the body that was holding a note from 1700s and something about being a priest and going to California.
The Southwest Mexico Skeleton By The River
Back in the Arcade days when MK was out- "REPTILE IS NOT A MYTH!, I HAVE SEEN HIM!"
‘Return’ from Quantum Break both warmed my heart yet also broke it as it gave me hope for an Alan Wake 2…
There is DLC for Alan Wake I wish I could have finished the game
You know u use to just be some channel i watch when i was bored or on lunch but the more u do like this where i get to meet the peeps behind ur channel the more involved i get. Keep up the good work.
to pay 10$ for extra save slot in Metal gear survive
2010 gaming.
As a metal gear fan it’s fucking stupid konami did this, sadly we won’t be getting a metal gear six anytime soon
Final fantasy 11 did that, it was like 2 bucks more a month per save slot.
I didn't know Electronic Arts made Metal Gear Games.
Brandon Wilson because they didnt
Star road in Super Mario World blew my mind when I first discovered it, also the alternative cutscenes in SSBM’s adventure mode, like fighting falco instead of fox, or the secret gifs bowser boss fight
I had 100% forgot about that xbox sound, but once I heard it, memories came flooding back. That was cool.
Same
In the first Saint's Row, you get hints about a major plot twist towards the end of the game in the instruction manual.
Always thought that was brilliant.
Literally everything hidden in Oxenfree meant to be analyzed, there was so much that came out of it from hunting real-life locations to calling certain phone numbers. It was probably one of the most elaborate in-game out of game puzzles
My favorite secret in gaming has to be from Metal Gear Solid 3. When i was a kid i could not legit beat The End in a sniper battle... so my favorite secret in gaming is waiting a week and having him die of old age.
The shortcut in the Tiger Temple track in CTR.
That pressing square reveals a hidden trophy
the "the cake is a lie" progenitor of the Portal series himself, the Rat Man. I remember *finally* being freaked out by the Portal premise when I found the first one.
Biggest for me was playing the original Deus Ex, the clinic in Hells Kitchen has a poster that has my friends family on it. I freaked and ran around the house like a maniac when I found it.
Those underwater blocks from the chemical plant zone... Those were the bane of my existence in the 90's. I could do that section with my eyes closed now, but only because I've died in that spot and had to replay it about a million times. (I still love Sonic 2 so much.)
My favorite is on the Grand MA1 (a lighting console for live productions/events) you can play space invaders by pressing the Tool, Setup and Backup buttons simultaneously
6:47 Oakley Bettie looks like JEFFREY DUHAMA with is bloody awesome
Jules, the word/phase you were looking for is, "Lost insist upon itself." Lol
That whole "Hang about!" bit was exactly me when I deliberately tried to go out of bounds in Crash Twinsanity. Not really a secret, but you never notice anything unusual if you play the game as it wants you to. But once you go off the path you discover so many unused and empty locations. Hidden area after hidden area, glitch after glitch. Almost everywhere you go there's a reminder of what the game was actually supposed to be. It's kind of eerie.
I had completely forgotten about Rach's Pokemon trick... but I remember those school bus rides now and freaking out with my friends about it at the time... memories!
House Flipper. Houses in the game include a house owned by an relative of Michael Myers. Which is a full on murder house and the house from Home Alone are just two of the surprises in the game.
Funny how they stick ash on the thumbnail, clearly know their market lol
It got my attention

Calendar Man in Arkham City. I accidentally found that he says certain things on certain holidays once when I played on Thanksgiving and again on Christmas. Fucking awesome
I look forward to these on Fridays!!
The Achilles heal for any hedgehog, any driver would tell you. I will never forget that.
One of my favorite Easter eggs is in The Witcher 2, you can find a dead assassin by a broken hay cart. Looking up, you can see the vantage point where he must have attempted the leap of faith
I also loved how Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem played with you: please plug the controller back in, pretending to delete your saves, stuff like that. Perhaps the advertisements didn't keep that a secret, but I never watched those. My brother introduced me and he just waited for me to figure it out. Nintendo should remaster that, or stop hogging the patent. More people need to play it
Only season of Lost I had issues with is six, and that just involves the ending. Season five has time travel, who the frak hates time travel? Season six had a lot of great moments though, but all that purgatory stuff. When people hate the four choice ending of Mass Effect 3, I just remember Lost. Hey, I named my first Male commander Shepard Jack in honor of Lost. Wasn't expecting to get a much hotter squad mate named Jack in the follow up. I did love it when Joker (Batman villain, not Mass Effect pilot) referenced Lost. Takes me many tries to get thru that wall every time I play Asylum. As for Calender Man's story in City, it seemed to be a Playstation exclusive because the 360 couldn't set the date to 2004 (I could only get it to 2005). Maybe the One has better luck with that
Sonic The Comic was DEFINITELY the supreme comic strip!!
Damn straight
Hell yeah!
The second playthrough of dark souls 3 on release I learnt you could go to a huge ass area with the best boss fight from doing a sit down emote
Ah yes, by the dragons
Arkham Knight being Jason Todd, I don’t think anyone saw that coming
Whatculture is an addiction that i prefer not to ever quit! You guys (and girls) are absolutely mind blowing with your videos! I love your channel! Keep it up!
Still got my original Gameboy and link cable 😁
I got my Gameboy Pocket still😀😁
And because they're made of Nintendium, they'll probably still work after the apocalypse.
More like an explot rather than a secret. In the Sonic Riders, there are sections in most tracks where you're required to rotate your thumbstick as fast as possible to gain as much air (fuel) and speed as possible. In the PC version when using the keyboard, you rapidly press your left then right over and over. However, you can simply hold left and right and the game thinks you're pressing the buttons at the fastest rate, making races easier.

Psycho mantis reading your memory card in MGS on the Ps1. At the time, it blew my mind.
In Super Smash Bros Brawl their is an extremely hidden secret with the Metriod trophy as if you hack the game you will find Mr. Saturn in the blood stream which you can't see with the human eye.
Castlevania, Symphony of the Night. When you complete enough of the game towards the end, there's a green orb around Dracula in the final battle. When you hit the green orb and destroy that, the whole game Turns Upside down and it's a whole other game entirely. That blew my mind.
not really a secret i think but in dishonored (the first one) if you go to the safe house in the beginning its all like, pieces of paper on a wall and if you go back during the time when the safe house is under attack it changes to a picture of corvus's mask, which looked really cool
Anybody remember Pokémon red/blue being able to have unlimited items? Go talk to someone, fly to a certain island and BOOM! 99 master balls.
Yeah Super Sonic blew my mind in the 90s. I had no idea about it - just collected all the emeralds, got 50 rings and jumped into the air (as you do).
That broke my child mind.
Gotta give Undertale a mention here. It has so many brilliant moments to it that change based on your actions and decisions. It would take many, many, many replays to find everything.
F***kin love you Rich, hardly anyone appreciates Treyarch zombies. Its the the heart and soul of Treyarch, all you need do is delve into the lore and listen to those sweet sweet easter egg songs to understand.
@KeoneArt Oh absolutely, i fell in love with zombies the moment i shot that radio in Nacht der Untoten...and i was Undone.
Please, reserve your judgement and disrespect, you've no idea the passion i have for Treyarch zombies.
@KeoneArt The whole purpose of your comment was an attempt to belittle me, assuming im someone who hasnt played since the very beginning, a sad world we live in where something as wonderful as zombies is even subject to negativity. Lift spirits KeoneArt, instead of attempting to crush them.
@KeoneArt The internet is a place to voice one's opinion, an act that can be done without you disrespecting someone, you think my feelings are hurt? No, im more disappointed that someone who enjoys zombies is so toxic. My original comment on this video was of positivity and respect for Rich. There was no need for your toxic comment. The internet is no place for you, no one needs pointless negativity.
@KeoneArt Here is a none disrespectful way you could have replied to my comment: Many people have played zombies since 2008. But you opted for rudeness over sincerity
Yes The OGXBOX does talk to you if you leave it idle for an hour. It’s scrambled Gibberish but it talks to you.
They're actually taken from NASA recordings.
I guess I’m old. I was hoping a mention of all the Easter eggs in Blood. They blew my mind
Robert Robertson I live agaiiiinnn
Shadow Warrior, you find a secret area and Lara Croft is chained up. Pretty funny little gag, but shocking seeing her randomly.
Haha thanks for the flashbacks rache. I never had a cable until last Christmas when I bought one and a gba for my little brother. Now I can die happy.
Metal Gear Solid for Playstation. The part where you had to plug in your controller to the player 2 side while fighting the floating dude that could read your mind. Teenage me in 1998: Mind blown....
Motherfucking Calendar Man in "Batman: Arkham City".
It wasn't that crazy chill
On 360, I couldn't set the year to 2004. The 12/13 Easter egg is a Playstation exclusive?
The first time I played that game was on Thanksgiving Day and his dialog freaked me right dafuq out.
Rach wearing a Iron Maiden shirt.... I officially love you! lol
That 3:36 look was my literal face when I saw the seconth Asylum Demon in Dark Souls 1 through the small corridor at the beginning...
I was like.... oooh.. OOOOOOH.... ooooh...... is that gold? xD
mine is across 2 Watchdogs 1 and Assasins Creed Black flag part way through AC:BF the head of Abstergo Disappears after going to Chicago...well the reason for that is cause Adrian Pearce (the MC from watchdogs) gets a side mission where he kills him on behalf of the Brotherhood meaning watchdogs and SAC are a shared universe which implies some INTERESTING things with both Ded Sec (possibly connected to the brotherhood) and Blume (being possibly one of Abstergos front companies)
I just played that, but it's a knockdown mission. Why is it a knockdown mission if Assassin's Creed says that guy dies? Knockdown mission are hard, especially when there's two targets. When the target can be killed, you can just run them over.
My favorite secret was sparing Sander Cohen in Bioshock to get access to a hidden Power to the People station.
My first playthrough of Bioshock.. the "Would you kindly" reveal
The first secret that blew my mind was the scarab gun in Halo 2. I just couldn’t believe that someone figured that out and found the gun just playing around.
Rachs hair is always amazing
My favorite reference is the deep ones quest from oblivion if you didn’t know the quest is a reference to the H P Lovecraft a Shadow over innsmouth even the title is a reference the title is a Shadow over Hackdirt.
When I first had my Xbox and realised that you don’t need a specific disk in order to play the same game (my COD BO disk broke and I got another and was shocked that my progress was still there)
Glad to see some new faces, ”it’s bloody awesome” ;)
Now if only the blond kid didnt have the personality of a wet noodle, wed be set
You could clone in Pokemon Emerald too, but it worked a bit differently from gold and silver
Great shoutout to Sonic the Comic. Loved the way they made super sonic psychotic and evil
When me and my friends learned we could make things float in mid-air in Halo 3 forge by just deleting another object beneath it.
Benjamin always has the best entries
Fallout 4 - visiting the "Cheers" bar in Boston complete with skeletons of the cast including Cliff in his postman's uniform.
I used to troll my friends with the Hellblade dynamic theme because it makes voices come from your PS4.
PS4: "You're in danger."
Friend: "Did you hear something?"
Me: "No, why?"
Friend: O__O
Hang about, the just cause 2 island wasn't an easter egg as it was part of the main story, it was simply highly inspired by Lost. In my opinion an easter egg is something you WEREN'T supposed to find, that's what makes it so much more gratifying when you find one.
That doesn't really make sense. They wouldn't put an Easter egg in if they didn't want to to find it. An Easter egg is just a reference to another game or movie that's "hidden in plain sight" in a game or movie. But they do want people to find them, otherwise the world be no point to it.
Yea my Xbox asked me if I was still awake when I was napping. That woke me straight up lol that did blow my mind.
Basically all the Easter Eggs in Borderlands 2
The Mario level, double rainbow, Yu-Gi-Oh!, etc.
When he mentioned Chemical Plant, I thought he was going to bring up the shortcut that lets you skip the rising mega mack section altogether.
In Little King's Story for the Wii, there is a theater that you can build in Glamour Town. I'd heard from the LP I'd watched that you can't watch movies there. I later inadvertently learned that the player character -- not you -- can watch a movie there called "Camel of Love and Passion", and it's apparently bad. Fine. Well. One time, I was continuing to play the game, not activating the endgame yet because I was trying to fill out the Tunesmith Book, and I would kill time during the day with search-and-destroy missions, which would occasionally activate people wanting to meet with me. One such person -- probably the last one -- was the new manager of the theater. He apologized for the terrible film "you" watched, and announced that they'd start showing a different film. So most of the time, if you went to the theater, it'd still be showing "Camel of Love and Passion", but come during a certain part of the evening, and YOU, yes, you, the player, could watch a movie called "swimming pool" or possibly "swimming poo1". It's pretty surreal. I call it a secret because it's really easy to just get tired of trying to get tunes for Princess Kokomo and just grab that last Flying Machine part and start the final part of the game, never knowing about this animation.
Ha, so that thing Ash was talking about with the original Xbox reminds me of something that happened when I first got my Xbox 360. I was figuring out how to hook it up properly, and had it turned on so I could tell when I had it right. At some point, I had the audio working, but not the video yet, and I heard it say "You'll have bad dreams if you stay up too late. C'mon, let's get some sleep." Now, I had read the TV Tropes article on Anti-Poop Socking, so I thought at first that it was just such a measure, like the console was trying to be responsible by discouraging me from playing at night. As it turned out, it was just a line from Eternal Sonata, the game I had bought when I bought my 360, which was in one of the cutscenes it plays if you leave it on the title screen too long.
Should've also mentioned the secret with Sonic 2, that if you hit the reset button on the Sega Genesis every time you get a Chaos Emerald, you will restart back at Green Hill Zone, but you will still have the Chaos Emerald. Do this for all of the Chaos Emeralds, and you can play the entire game with the Super Sonic ability.
The first one was my reaction when figuring out vice city Mansion was based directly on scarface down to little details.
What about in Pokemon Good/Silver/Crystal when you deposit your Pokemon and turn off your game boy while it's saving, you'll have that Pokemon in your party and your pc. It worked for cloning items too.
So glad to know that I’m not the only person who doesn’t kill Gwynevere because I don’t want to spoil the brightness and hope of Anor Londo!
I actually found the Arkham secret on my own. I wasn't searching for it, it just happened
1:49 Your man is looking like a human-mouse there.
Rach deserves the biggest hug for her iron maiden shirt
Throw it back to DKC for the SNES- you had one chance per file to get a 100%. You had to find a secret bonus room WITHIN A BONUS ROOM!!! If you missed it, you couldn’t go back and try again.
Brilliant.
I'm pretty sure I got 101* on DKC by going back and finding Bonus Rooms I missed.
Idk why but I can’t get myself to dispel the illusion in Anor Londo either and heard it makes it a lot harder. But ya love that secret too.
Harder? the city is most abandoned if you do, though there is the fact that you loose a firekeeper bonfire and gain access to an optional boss.
That nursery rhyme of Solomon Grundy in the game was absolutely creepy when I found it. When I heard the little girl singing the rhyme so creepily from the record player I basically said f*** this I’m out of here, I don’t need to have some nightmares because of this creepy nursery rhyme.
I've heard the original Xbox make that noise before, but it never sounded like it said anything, at least not in english!
There was a flight simulator in the 1990s called Longbow 2 which is based on a few helicopters. One other detail was that the maps were based on real maps of the areas. One of those areas was Afghanistan. So it was possible to train in this helicopter simulation as a kid and do it for real as an adult. Even some of the video images in the game looked like the early videos taken by the helicopters taken during the occupation of Afghanistan.
What Your Top 10 Video Games Should Get Live-Action/Animated Series On Netflix?
Legacy of Kain
Was that arkham city Easter egg a parks and recreation reference? Scarecrow boat?
That Arkham Asylum is my favorite as well
Ewan, do you think that maybe the hidden room was not meant to be found; well at least not until the trailers were ready, or actually came out? Giving the game a boost in new players, play-time of existing players and some good advertising for then next game? Quite cunning if that was the reason, but what reasonably else could it have been for? As you are right no one would have found it without them ‘pointing it out’
Big ups to Rach for wearing a Trooper t-shirt!! She's gone up in everyone's estimation!
The Counter Strike graffiti one is really cool. The graffiti art is awesome as well.
