I'd love more videos like these! I find it hard to navigate the clutter of games released without thinking even the good releases blend in with the noise of quickly forgotten games or overdone marketing. As a former journalism student myself I always appreciate your nuanced coverage of things.

Also, one game you missed. Radiant Silvergun is finally coming to PC the 18th. Such a classic in the shmup space is finally given the ease of access it deserves.
Idk if it's here but Deadlink is an indie game that came out near the end of July. It's like if doom eternal and Risk of rain fused and it's actually so good. Definitely want to see it do well.

You missed the Palia open beta starting on Aug 10th!
The one thing though that might rain on that whole Baldur's Gate parade is how very few will dare to have anything to do with Dungeons and Dragons in the future.
not this month, but a game I'm mad excited for is the cyberpunk dlc/update.
Just recently tried that game and holy guacamole, I'm so in love already. And knowing they'll revamp the skilltrees I'm more than happy to see where this goes. (Despite knowing one of the new trees is mainly upgraded via the dlc itself and hating dlc currencies myself)
I weep that my computer can't play Rubicon or Starfield, even at minimum settings, but the bit about Trine 5 coming out... that is a bit of a balm for my soul. Thanks guys.
Next couple months are going to be intense when it comes to game releases. I don't know when I will be able to finish every game I'm interested in that's coming from August till November. Armored Core 6, BG3, Lords of the Fallen, Lies of P and couple more.

I know it's not a "new" game, but I'm surprised you didn't give at least a nod to CP77's Phantom Liberty expansion. Had no idea Blasphemous 2 was even a thing, much less coming out so soon. Excited for that, I definitely enjoyed the first one.

Yeah, I also bought BG3 4 days ago :D and its been great fun, definitely can recommend story-wise from what I seen in my 18 hours of gameplay, story is amazing There were many bugs, at least I consider them so, but hopefully full release will be running way smoother!
I'm excited for the new expansion of Guild Wars 2, coming out on Aug 22nd. Been loving this game as a secondary game due to the amount of free time I have (first game being life itself) and I'm excited to see all the new stuff coming in.

Stray Gods! I'm so excited for that one. There are so many good games this month it's a bit overwhelming in a good way.
Maybe I’ll get to Baulders gate at some point in the future, maybe even years, but apart from nothing at all peaks my interest. They all look like games I would have to play in window mode so I have something interesting to watch while my fingers are on auto pilot.
Not in August, but I am really looking forward to Lies of P. Loved the demo, even though I struggled a lot. To be expected, since this is my first souslike. But I can certainly see the appeal of these games now :D

I still refuse to play Overwatch ever again until they make good on what they promised. I spent my hard earned money on skins when I downloaded OW2 only because I believed there would be a full game coming later. They broke my trust and I vote with my wallet and my presence.

I'll definitely be playing Baldurs Gate 3 but Sea of Stars looks really good. Love the art style and am a old school turn based RPG fan.

I hope Hammerwatch 2 gets some useful modding attention. I think literally 4 people cared to use the map editor and post anything in any condition on the one forum. And I hope it works better than HoH mods periodically breaking due to updates still ongoing when I last played.

Hammerwatch II is about the only game i find interesting out of all those games.
It's an interesting format for sure, though from the announcement you made a while back I was expecting it to be more in the style you mentioned Mini Healer a while back. More "at least played a bit" and less just crawling the release date charts with some trailer material. It's sorta more of a preview based on trailers isn't it? That said, I've still wishlisted Hammerwatch.
Also this really really needs timestamps baked in, even if a nice person in the comments leaves a comment with them, I only realized later that I'd skipped 2 entries fast forwarding over the ones that I have absolutely no interest in.

So many great games coming out! Pretty much non of them are form AAA developers/publishers. This shows great picture of state of the industry. AAA publishers should just die to make room for new wave of creative devs and publishers that invest in these devs and let them do their thing. Imagine what (currently) smaller publishers will be able to do with that market share when they already invest in all these projects.
And on the note of good games recently released. If you ever played Jagged Alliance or JA2, recently released Jagged Alliance 3 is darn good game that is just great, modern sequel to these games. Modding is fully supported so it will only get better.
I agree Fromsoft should die out.
