How he finally succumbed to Isilder's ring, how he joined The Nine but the moment that hit me the most was after the One Ring was destroyed and Talion finally died, and seeing him, the tired warrior, shed the weight he's been carrying, the fight that he has fought for decades was truly heart wrenching. I kind of love stories like that of finding peace at the end of the line and that ending made my eyes burn with unshed years for a man, even if the novels acknowledged him, who's story will go forever untold. Open the game with a dinosaur biting "mother" in the heart and then saving the tooth as a weapon? Set an odd tone, thought of it more as a corny dark comedy with humor at the level of dad jokes. Earthbound was a waaaaay better game.

Sorry, Earthbound was just easier to relate to as odd as it was and was more original. Battle scarred

      Kind but gruff
      Only parent left
Only person who distrusts potentially evil group
Has a secret to tell you
Gives you your moms wedding ring
Uses phrase “there’s never any time” when regarding secret
      Has spotty past
      Honorable beyond anyone else’s level
A way better choice then the player to lead resistance group or army
Muddies the water about the whole deal of flames story.
Has been running your whole life
You can’t bond, give gifts or recruit him
Seriously his personality is just a series of tropes. I loved Jerry, but he had NO chance

My grandfather passed away a few years ago to dimentia and his entire body just shutted down. To those that don't know my grandfather, he was the type who would stop everything and help someone in need and treat them like family. Marcus' owner, acted in every way like him before his dying day. He didn't treat him like a machine or a thing. He treated him like a fellow human being and part of the family. He was sincere, taught him a bit about being human and discovering something about himself that Marcus never knew himself. Him and my grandfather were so alike, that it almost was like seeing and talking to him again. I had to stop because I was having a hard time seeing the screen and make honest choices.
