In response to Rach's entry, it's even worse that... (Spoilers ahead)
Kaede was actually FRAMED by the mastermind, who seemingly had an airtight alibi during that case, but could still be found out early because of their Ultimate Talent (Since the mastermind in the previous games originally had a fashion-based talent and so does the third game's mastermind), their general behavior, and the trope in the main games of mysteriously escaping through a bathroom (Although the second game's potential iteration might not be a reference to that)

Great Stuff, I also recently found out about the meaning of Tails name. Don’t feel bad.
There are definitely gaming moments that made me feel stupid. Those moments were puzzle games, such as Zelda when the answer was simply a practical solution, I don’t recall which one, but spending any longer than a minute on a Zelda puzzle when the answer is basic means that overthink is a thing, and it’s a bad thing.

The biggest video game revelation that made me feel stupid was the fact that there was actually a questline for umbra in elder scrolls oblivion (and apparently in morrowind too). I basically stumbled on it by accident, it was right outside the starting area of the game inside of a ruin named Vin Diesel. I mean how could I see that and not want to check it out. I thought maybe some Riddick or fast and furious easter egg but no I found umbra. I knew who it was because I had also happened to stumble across umbra back in morrowind. So, every playthrough in oblivion I would just go and grab umbra at level one and have the best sword in the game and a full set of ebony armor. It wasn't until last year though, that I found out umbra was part of a quest for one of the deadric princes (I think it was clavicus vile). I had just never really bothered finding all the shrines (got every achievement btw so they obviously weren't that important), so I had no idea that umbra was anything other than a really good sword and like I said, apparently there a quest to get it in morrowind too but to this day I've never found that. just found the guy wielding it while flying over a mountain to get to another town. Saw him down there in full ebony armor and I was like "Gee what a great set of armor that's mine now" and got umbra to boot.

My brain made that sound when the dual plot twists of BioShock hit, especially the Atlas/Fontaine revelation. Deadly Premonition's last twist made me feel like a big ol' dummy. I pegged George as The Raincoat Killer, especially after I saw his license plate (HesThe1) and how Becky panicked when she saw realized you were a detective (cops and law enforcement freaked her out a bit too much), but Kayson? Nope. And the game pretty much screamed it at you.
The opening Red Room sequence had you look at a map of the USA and had all of those Kayson dolls all over it. And "F...K...in the coffee". He was tied into so much; sleeping with Diane, who was waaaaay outta his league, being friends with the twins, and so much more.

BTW Scott, I'm happy to hear you're playing kh3 but if you only played the first one no wonder you don't understand the story. The first game is the less important story wise. To get most of what's happening one have to play at least kh2, chain of memories and birth by sleep. You will still miss some plot points but nothing that you can't put together with a bit of logic.

far cry 4 ending................ when Pagan Mei told me to recall his words and i realized that all those things i did for almost 10 hours were unnecessary and that made me felt stupid. (Yep it was plot twist and it was supposed to be that way but still.... Really..... I did all that when all i had to do was wait)

Resi 7, right when you first find Mia there’s a photograph of Gran with the virus written on the back. They tell you in the very beginning who and what she is, but you don’t know what any of it means until the second play through.

I'm like Josh in that I always get caught by plot twists, both in games and in movies. I'm just not one of those people who is always trying to get ahead of what I watch.

Josh, did you just MIB memory wipe your mind of the caves section? Or the boat flashback as Mia? Pretty sure its spelt out on screen in a note you could pick up
None the less a fun list everyone. Thanks for the Friday cheer.
