New Airbag Clock Spring from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/DMSTC00005
This video shows you how to install an airbag clock spring on your 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe. The clock spring is what connects the various electrical components in your steering wheel to the vehicle’s electrical systems. Things like the horn, airbag, and even media controls rely on it to work properly. If you face issues with any of those components, a new clock spring may be what you need.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2000 Chevrolet Tahoe
    2001 Chevrolet Tahoe
    2002 Chevrolet Tahoe
    2003 Chevrolet Tahoe
    2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
    2005 Chevrolet Tahoe
    2006 Chevrolet Tahoe
    Tools you will need:

Great video, and much easier of a job compared to a 2004 ford f250 where a steering wheel pull tool is required…

    So i'm confused.
Most of them say without steering controls.
The ones that have the steering control harness are very expensive.
I have steering controls like the vehicle in this video.
all my buttons and controls work fine.
The only thing malfunctioning is the horn and the air bag light coming on and off when you drive.
Can you just get the clock spring and plug it into the existing harness for the buttons and the steering wheel?
Or is it all one assembled unit with a harness if you want to retain your steering wheel controls?
Are you forced to get the expensive one with a complete harness?

Will the airbag deploy if I connect the battery terminal? And start the truck?

What does a clock spring do? What is it’s purpose?
