We like to make interesting car mods and show you how we've gone about it, but we can't promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because you've seen us make it look so easy. Wrench a little bit and do burnouts. In the beginning it was fresh, like the Jeep rat rid and roadtripping a mercury custom and all. Now they might just take a old project car out of storage, make it run again and do burnouts. Its really just half ased forced content.

When dealing with this type of car were you dont know what anything is or where it goes- best to have an Ohm meter, and a signal generator to isolate speaker leads- if you dont have a signal generator, you can touch suspected speaker wires to the top of a small 9V battery like used in a childs toy and see if you get any pops or noise from speakers, then mark the wires-

    • @Mad-Duk_Machine_Werkes

@ChrisHallett83 This is why I learned to do my own stereo installs because I never trusted places like strathfield or autobarn. Even recently I had some Type R splits installed by a proper car audio shop in my Civic and they used hot glue to glue in the tweeters in the factory dash positions but when it got hot the glue melted and the tweeters fell into the dash.

This brings me back like 15 years! I had a small Fiat Cinquecento Abarth, pulled the backseat out and build a stereo in it. Double 1200w subs, 2 monoblock amps, 6 speakers on one big multi channel amp, all JBL. When I cranked it everything started shaking, the little roof window and window wipers started bouncing up and down lmao. The vibrations cracked the backwindow one time when I went too far. Good times

I've had to do exactly what you two are doing so many times that this was genuinely hard to watch. So many people over the years that have had me sort out some mess of audio equipment. "Free" installation at Best Buy resulted in a lot of shit wiring jobs. No one wanted to pay for an expert anymore. Once Crutchfield and Amazon came along no one wanted to pay more than cost for gear. This killed the business. Now I'm like a an IT guy, I pretend I don't know anything to avoid getting involved lol.
