lol, 4g63 connecting rods at 300whp is nothing for them we go 400hp here in the states I woulda turned that thing up to 25psi and told the tuner man to send it.
Bdan that’s 400-450 for 7 bolts, 6 bolts we go to 650+.

I was a teenager of the 90's and a big car guy from about 10 on and I'm not really into this scene (and wasn't back then, I'm a Euro/VW watter-boxer and Toyota 4wd guy) but... I lost my Dad and best mechanic partner to Brain cancer about 3 years ago now and this car makes me happy. After seeing the magazine article vid it just makes me smile to see this fater/son project coming back to life. Good on ya guys, this warms the heart even if it makes me miss my Dad heaps. Love the channel, love seeing how you've grown and turned into this great space for gearheads and guys who like to tinker with cars. Cheers mates. Much love from the PNW US.

So to calculate in comparison to Dynojet, multiply the kw times 1.36, then multiply times 1.17
So 223wkw = 300whp = 351whp (on Dynojet) which if you calculate a 15% driveline loss means 2WISTD is making a healthy 412hp at the crank

@Jae Watkins Siri will convert kw to hp but won't convert a load bearing dyno to an inertial dyno.
Its probably more like 340HP at the crank because I expect the dyno figures are corrected to compensate for the fact that it is a load bearing dyno.

@sausagemit Well tbh he just wound more timing in it until it made 223kw but yeah he is quite a legend! He is so good at explaining why and how.
Fun Fact: That segment was shot AFTER the dyno run, with some clever post editing that clip was put first before the dyno run making it seem he had a close guess and donation to charity.
He originally tuned the car when it first appeared on the show car circuit. He already knows the numbers.

My point was more about the fact that it doesn't have any trick geometry that things like the new Type R has to deal with that stupid level of torque steer.

@@jesuiscequejesuis2267 plates aren't current. in the rip off state of NSW you don't own the plates you must pay a big fee for personalised plates every year.

A friendly advise: that fire extinguisher is foam. It's rated for fires that are caused by liquids i.e. gas, diesel, etc. But, it damages electric circuits. I recommend getting a co2 fire extinguisher along side the foam one for it can also extinguish liquids but you gonna use alot of it and won't damage electric circuits. Also never extinguish liquid fires with water because it can spread the fire by displacing the burning liquid or getting sprayed all over the place.

The wires are hot for battery because they are not proper battery cables they can’t handle the voltage and amperage and load that those run. You need much thicker gauge thicker stranded battery cable for both positive and negative
especially when starting the car. runnning wont be a problem. but starting will smoke these cables. pulling 100 amps+ at 10V creates huge resistance heat indeed.
Because it never ran a battery there, it ran under the rear bar 😁
with a spl/performance..
go the big 3 replacement.
and replace complete earth system in this car... and pretty much all the power wiring...
They know this. The whole electrical system would be bodgy, people often spend big on an engine and paint and then half arse the wiring job.
