Now that it's around 350 euro, this phone is becoming one of the best deals in 2023. As a current Huawei user (I still use an old Mate 20) the fact that this is using Magic UI is not a problem. I got used to this UI and it works ok for me. What I don't really like is its plastic frame, the absence of an IP rating, the absence of an optical zoom and OIS on the camera and the absurd lack of software support beyond two years. That's why I won't buy this one, but I'll probably go for a Pixel 7... Maybe...
What a confusing post. On one hand you're saying it's a top deal for 2023, and then proceed to give a long list of pretty good reasons not to buy it. What are you actually saying?
@@parshakamarsh Ahahah you're right, that post clearly shows that I'm bit confused about this phone. Overall I think it's a good deal if you have 350 bucks and you desperately need a phone that doesn't suck. It's one of the best midrangers of 2023. However, there's no way this phone can beat a Pixel 7 (budget flagship) or an Oppo FindX5 (an heavily discounted flagship of 2022) that cost just 50 bucks more. So I'm not sure who's the target audience for this phone.

His EIS is better than people think, it has best screen-to-body ratio and flicker free display on 1600 Nits!!!!! and 435 PPI, it is very lightweight, good enough zoom(especially from that 2000Mp camera, by crop), one of the best front camera(50 Mp/wide angle 100°), 5000 mAh, etc, etc. Not to mention 12Gb Ram and 512 GB(UFS 3.1/LPDDR5)...🎉
I bought this phone with silver white colour and it comes with 12gb ram and 512gb storage with extra free honor 2 lite earbuds , free honor case ( not silicone transparent tpu case that also included inside the box) and + 6 special warranty.
here's my conclusion
Pros:
1. The Pwm dimming seriously reduce my eye strain and dizziness ( i came from samsung s21+ user). The highest pwm dimming in any smartphone currently.
2. The screen to body ratio is amazing and u will feel an immersive feeling screen, i understand some people prefer flat screen rather than curved edges, but this one doesn't feel like those curved display.
3. Battery Is Excellent 5000Mah lasted me 2 days of medium usage unless you are playing mobile games 24h.
4. Camera is Excellent and i enjoyed using it more than my s21+.
5. Oh and the Display Amoled was just stunning with 6.7 inches, 108.9 cm2 (~90.8% screen-to-body ratio)
Resolution: 1200 x 2664 pixels (~435 ppi density) that's great.
6. And the speaker quality, i understand its a single speaker rather than stereo, but i found out the audio quality is very loud and good, doesn't feel cheap at all.
7. Lastly the design quality and feel this is the best so far speaking from my hands size point of view.. no sharp edges under my thumbs when texting.
Cons:
1. No ip rating a splash of water is fine but not on a super heavy rain condition
2. Chipset could be better but for daily use and gaming it is fine but don't expect 60hz + on ultra setting on genshin impact but mobile legends is fine with ultra setting
Conclusion of all these:
1. Buy it if you like minimalist light body
2. Buy it if you like to take care of your eyes and viewing health and i do recommend this phone
3. Buy it if you like High end features and premium phone but with moderate budget
4. Buy it if you like to view content on any platform such as youtube/twitch etc
5. Buy it if you like photography Not the best like iphone 14 pro max but it is excellent for my eyes
6. Avoid this phone if stereo speaker is what you wanted for
7. Avoid this phone if you want wireless charging
8. Avoid this phone if you want certified IP rated phone

I know it doesn't have an IP rating, but for the built quality it does have at least a strong display for accidentally dropping the Honor 90 or like for a rainy day using the phone all day outside at rain, still will be okay?

I've recently switched over to honor 90 lite as my iPhone 13 dropped down the toilet at a festival🤦🏾♀️ i love my honor 90 lite but I'm really thinking to upgrade to the HONOR 90.. Not because my phone isn't good but just because I'm in shock at the amount this phone can do for so cheap..
I also switched to honor 90 lite after my Samsung s10 lite got damaged from seawater. Everything was a downgrade but it still felt modern. Something to have before buying another phone later

ASBYT sometimes timing goes wrong 😁. Just a couple of hours after this video OnePlus Nord 3 was released and it beats everything under 700€/£/$. That's the phone of the year - waiting for your review. I love Honor too and Xiaomi/Poco but Nord 3 is in a totally different league with same superb main camera sensor as on their flagship Oneplus 11. All other specs great too and an 80W charger is in the box 🎉. That's the real true flagship killer of 2023, great stereo speakers as well.
It has some photo quality issue and stability issue.
@@ruru5337 I've read a few OnePlus Nord 3 reviews - Main camera images all have oversharpening issues, portrait images are very good, nightmode images also very good.
Selfie images are average, 2MP macro camera very bad, pointless waste of money a 2MP sensor being on there!
Ultra wide camera images are decent but nothing special. Probably about best they could do using only a 8MP ultra wide sensor.
Main camera Sony IMX890 is good so a future software update should fix the oversharpening issues. As for the macro and ultra wide camera's at a very low 2MP & 8MP, a software update won't yield much improvement.

OnePlus Nord 3 isn't even getting sold in the UK, USA, Germany. That's 3 major markets missing out on sales.
Nothing Phone 2 sold out in record time in Indian pre-orders. And it's actually available to buy here in the UK, and in the USA and Germany.
There's simply a lot more hype for the Nothing Phone 2 than the OnePlus Nord 3!

@@afeca2342 battery life seems pretty good, camera doesn't seem that special though but haven't really had a proper chance to try it out or use the 200mp camera, screen looks really nice, depends what your looking for in a phone? my sister thinks its nicer then her iphone.

The Honor 90 would be a better option in my opinion. Because you get a solid display and the performance is kinda the same, but the Honor 90 has better technology like- Reduce heat (Even after hours with the same stability), Zero Flickering, Night mode for no blue light on display for better sleep, and more
Just saying that you just consider the key differences between the two phones, so you can get the phone for your preference and not make the mistake of not saving money.

Yes, you can switch between all lenses including front cam, and there is multi-camera recording option too, meaning you can record video with any two lenses at once.
No stereo speakrers.
Two big drawbacks with this phone one of which is subjective. Magic OS is a bind to use for some and one of the worst Android skins IMO. Secondly there isn't a stereo speaker set up on this phone. Just a single speaker which is the nail in the coffin for me.
To be honest, the Single speaker is single-handled well, it's very loud and has good clarity and it's crisp, but on another hand, it does not have the best bass or quality, but for a phone, it's pretty good when you put it in your hand the speaker or on the table.
And if I'm not wrong, it's even better than S23 Ultra or the same

This is not the phone of the year, not even close, but it could be a paid promotion. For over 500 + euros (overblown price) you can buy a lot of better devices. Honor decided not to launch the stronger 90 plus model on the European market and this started to happen constantly, so I hope most consumers will skip them. Huawei/Honor are one of my favorite brands and I don't understand their selective sales policy and very aggressive marketing;
1. No charger in the box
2. No IP protection
3. No stereo speakers
4. No optical stabilization
5. Very high price now
6. Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is not the most modern and powerful chipset
7. No Gorilla glass protection
8. No telephoto camera
9. Slower photo processing
10. Indoor photos and videos are much worse than other conditions and looks very inconsistent

@@48setThe Mono speakers are the identity of the Honor mid-range series and I think they will change it when will come out with a new series segment of the Honor mid-range brand.
MAYBE in another universum where OnePlus Nord 3 and Poco F5 don't exist. EVEN Nord 3CE is almost strong as Honor 90 for 300 USD. Honor for 300 gives 90 lite wich is garbage compared to CE3. 500 USD is to much for sd 7gen 1.

The Honor X9a would be a proper contender, but it's not even that.
Xiaomi, Poco, and Redmi are a great pick, especially for the price. In addition to Realme and Vivo's recent releases.
Furthermore, the Pixel 7a and Galaxy A54 are two decent picks for certain niches.
But, overall. If we're talking about Value for Money based phone of the year. Based on the reviews, it's gonna the be recent Poco F and Realme series devices priced below $500.
Honor is way too overrated and I can see why reviewers often give them high praises.
