Secondly, I love the feature where the device itself protects the user's eyes. That is a major feature at least to me.

I just bought this for my mom. Previously, she always said that her eyes in pain when using her old Huawei phone. Since this phone has screen eye protection, I decided to buy this model for her, and thankfully, she loves it! She said the Honor 90 screen is very comforting for her eyes, and she enjoys the smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate.
It's not just about the frame rate, it's also practically free of flickering. Even many higher prices flagship phones can't hold up with that.
Wow the photos are pleasingly clean and natural. Breath of fresh air.

Considering the price, this is the best mobile phone on the market, I've been using it for about 3 weeks and I'm very satisfied, the only minus is that it doesn't have the stereo speaker that I'm used to on the samsung s20 that I used before the honor 90, but you put the headphones back on and you have stereo sound, the camera is excellent, the screen resolution is phenomenal, I have never experienced such a clear picture when watching movies on a mobile phone, all in all the best mobile phone on the market for that price, and certainly better than much more expensive mobile phones that are expensive just because they have name, I recommend it to everyone

Honor phones are smoother than any Android. They are as good as iPhone when it comes to UI response & experience.
The battery of Honor phones are epic. I still have Honor view 20 with 4000mah battery & it's performing still like new & gives 7hrs SOT even after 4.5years. can you belive that.?

Honor view 20 is an absolute TANK! Had mine since 2019, dropped it a thousand times, not a single crack on the screen to this day!!
I just swapped mine for a Honor 90 and it still works without issue, but it needs charging at least once a day. Let's see how the 90 will hold up, my expectations are high!

Having read / watched so many reviews last two days, waiting in real anticipation ...
My current phone is a nearly 5 year old Honor 9 lite, bought for just 169 GBP, with roughly 70% of battery capacity left and Android 8.0 limitations becoming increasingly apparent; but I still love it.
Have an Honor laptop (16 inch / Ryzen 4000 / best buy), which I hope gives me wireless "Magic Link" to the phone.
I'll buy one of this for real for real. I like the camera look at the back.. So slick and tight...

Honor have defo outdone Samsung mid range phones this year. For starters that device looks like a flash Kardashian very pretty 😅🔥. The camera, naa it's insane for quality it's knocks up both front & rear.
Your review is so generous compared to one I just listened to. Confusing. But I think the camera as good as you described is not good enough for me in terms of the zoo and the muted colours. for that main reason I think I will choose another.

Im stuck between these phones honor 90, a54, poco f5, s21fe the prices are close to each other where the s21fe is 720 dollars the a54 is 560 dollars the honor 90 is 635 dollars the poco f 5 is 670 dollars the a54 is the cheepest which seems great and the s21fe is the most expensive which is alot but its samsung im swaying towrds the honor 90 for the price and specs money performance ratio any advice on which would be better given the prices
Which other camera do dual camera.
Most overrated spec on a phone - dual speakers! The single firing bottom one is loud enough and I'll use headphones for any netflix or youtube sessions! Great review 👍🏻

A lot going on in the midrange market with the new Honor 90, the Realme 11 Pro, the Nord 2 from Oneplus and soon the Nothing Phone (2) . I personally went with the Xperia 10 V this year, but there is just so much good competition 🤔

@@bengoey Phone is super light and compact with stellar battery life. I get more than 3 days with 10+ hours of screen on time on a single charge. Screen gets very bright in sunlight and has no notch.
Performance good enough for social media apps and web browsing. Camera takes good photos during daytime, but falls apart at low light. Dedicated 2x lens is nice to have.
Haptic feedback feels cheap and the back of the phone vibrates when playing audio. Speakers are also not very loud, but the headphone jack is a plus.

seems like a price / performance banger that will make me switch out my s20fe. was looking for something like this, 1600nits peak, great for flying my drone, 12gb great for some basic video editing, 5000mah + 66w promises great comfort with battery life and on top of it my carrier has a good deal on it for my contract. will go and get it on monday

Just bought this off of a friend for $350USD and I can't wait to try it out when it arrives. I use an S23 Ultra as my everyday phone. This will be a lot of fun, light, sleek, great for a phone to take to work etc. pretty excited about it honestly

I just got my Honor 90 today and I must say it's very good. The display is outstanding, I'm using 40% brightness and it feels and looks like it's on 80-90%. The 120hz is good, but I use 90hz which is a golden middle, feels much better than 60hz and does not drain battery as much as 120hz. The main camera sensor is outstanding and I have no words that could describe my satisfaction for the selfie sensor. The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't come with a TPU gel mask in the box. Fun fact, if you have a black one, the back of it swaps as a lightly dimmed mirror, it's very reflective. 😄

I've poured over so many reviews and sample pics and I strongly recommend you do the same, if the camera matters to you. The camera seems to be trying to be a crowd pleaser by offering up unnatural looking shots that though superficially pleasing to some people, perhaps to many people, really do look overly processed in some shots.
It seems some people really like that and some don't, I'm in the don't camp. So all that said, I was very surprised, then, to see the phone, as a camera, came third in a group test of about ten phones, with the pics judged by a CZcamsr's audience and I realised different people are looking for different things, so you need to figure out what you want from a camera. I don't like overly contrasty images; they might 'pop', as some people say, but... Actually, I was quite relieved that the reviewer seemed to agree with me more than his audience. Some daylight shots in darker historic streets looked grim/gothic, or perhaps dramatic is a better word but far from neutral and I found myself thinking how could anyone be happy with that? Unless you like dramatic.
As the phone appears to be good value for money, if you don't mind the omission of things I'm used to taking for granted, like stereo speakers (it's easy to accidentally mute the one speaker by accidentally covering it) and lack of a headphone jack, I'm hoping to find a Gcam port that tames the contrast/brings out more subtle graduations between tones, pics that look more Google than... than like they came from a smartphone, if you know what I mean!
If anyone has reviews of some Gcam ports for the Honor 90, I would love to see them. I thought with the phone having been out for a while, now, there would lots of ports/mods/sample pics but I haven't had much luck finding them.
Am I asking too much at the price, absolutely! Should I be going for a Pixel phone. Having poured over so many photographs, I probably should, especially with good deals on the Pixel 7 and 7A, or else swallow hard and buy an Oppo Find X7 Pro from China, which seems to have the best cameras on flagship phone, at the moment, in terms of resolving fine detail.
Only con no stereo speakers. Don't get why honor did that i wouldn't have minded paying a little bit more for duel speakers. Other than that it's a great looking phone!
It would be rhe best, if it had dual speakers. I'm thinking of upgrading my a71, and right now samsung a54 is the front-runner, because of the dual speakers.
That and the splash resistance the only thing swinging me to the 54 but I found it lagy when I tried it in store. I'm hoping the 90 pro is released before Xmas.... No brainer then then.

I've just upgraded my contract so I thought it was time for a new phone.
I've chosen the Honor 90 Smart to replace the Samsung Galaxy A52s that I've been using for 2 years.
Even though I have only had the phone for a few days the difference is like chalk and cheese, the Honor 90 is like having a quality high end phone compared to my Samsung.

I think all phones overheat especially when playing games with high settings. A good and cool environment or a phone cooler would ease that problem.

The speaker is adequate, The battery lasts me 2 days , and charges really quickly. The display is great. I really like it.

just got the 512gb verison for £330
Very pretty and comfortable phone. I am loving all of this phone except its magicOS (UI) 😅. Hopefully honor will focus on making more customizations on its UI. Other than that, small details i also dont like about it is how fingerprint magnet its back panel and screen. Yes we can buy matte protector but problem with curve screen/back panel is, the protector atleast based on my experience, cannot stick properly or even does not cover the entire curve of the screen or back panel.
honor already includes a screen protector. As for Magic OS/UI they're still using old Huawei code, Magic OS 8.0 will be released with the next version of Android maybe they will change things up

normally I wouldn't comment i thought the honor 70 was good but to improve on the next device isn't normally obvious I never do it.
to move from the 70 the 90 wasn't on my list of to do.
but they have really improved it and the 70 wasn't bad at all Its not poor against the 90 but the screen the brightness the speaker the smoothness UI colours etc are all improved the speaker that is now decent even though there is only one at the bottom it's now bearable it has more body and bass and doesn't distort at full volume or break up as much as the 70 or magic 5 lite did they both sounded a tad thin so I can now listen to a few songs to pass time without it annoying my ears too much.
Back to the colours and resolution of the screen it's just richer the camera is vastly improved this review is right it's just refreshingly natural no over sharpening or colouring somewhere between the natural tones of an iPhone and the saturated tones of a Samsung however acts like the Google pixels it takes a few seconds after taking a picture to lock into the final shot sharpness clarity etc.
the portrait bokeh effect mode is exceptionally good 98% on par a with the iPhone 14 and turn out beautiful and I've used both. the camera is certainly not superior than the iPhone 14 or the s21 ultra I had for some dusk or night shots
But it's as good if not better on some day shots the night shots are slightly better than the honor 70 they both seem to have a overly white brightness misty feel to the sensor however.
the only thing that I was put off with before purchase was the design compared to the honor 70 and magic 5 lite is that the honor 70 looked like a slimmer note series from Samsung! but the honor 90 in hand does feel nice like a smooth pepple and is actually only slightly better than the honor 70 my partner said the honor 70 was a nice advice to hold.... it's not too light and has a slight weight to it but well balanced and feels more compact than it actually is compared to the honor 70 so I'm Happy.
Plus the icing on the cake that doesn't get mentioned much in reviews is that honor always provide a "decent quality" factory applied screen protector they keep doing this I will keep buying their handsets kudos!!
and I. Like the macro mode that most don't seem to welcome much and it's included on a lot of budget handsets but not on some flagships I like Macro Mode and use it...
not only that If it gets dinged the protector actually recovers it has a rubber texture feel that a small ding vanishes after about 10 minutes 😊
also my UK handset didn't get the 66 watt charger in the box there is a disclaimer note on the rear box stating it doesn't come with a charger only a cable strange.......
no biggie for me as I have 2 (one still sealed) from the 2 honor 70s I bought last year
I might as well Open now so I have one at home and another to take with me.
but out of the box some UK buyers won't see the benifit of that super impressive 66 watt charging.
Especially if they are new to honor....
and that's a shame this time round leaving it out maybe it's to keep the price down who knows but most in the UK that didn't buy the honor 70 won't see the super charging in action out of the box and most people won't actually go out and buy one from the manufacture.....just to see it....
If its in the box it gives a good impression of the device and probably enough to secure future purchased from honor....

Just bought it for 379 euros and it's great but, I hate the sparklr ont the back. It's so ugly under artificial light especially.
After 3 months of using it I can tell you what I do not lik. Arrived without charger. Difficult to find fast charger with Europe plug. Using now a 67W super fast charger from Redmi. Doesn't have an indicator LED. Not big deal but I m used with something like this. There is no original music player, u have to go third party. Very slippery case, u really need a proper casing as is easy to drop ( which I did and now I have a cracked back cover). Although the cameras are good, for long distance they are not the good as expected. At this price is not possible to have camera from Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. By comparison, the pics taken on a ship at anchorage revealed a MSC logo on a container ship, with Honor 90 the same logo was very blurry. This is what I personally do not like, but they are small things. I even told to a friend that lost his phone and guess what...after half an hour he WA me back that he ordered this phone . Lucky he was, for the same price he received a pair of earbuds. Cheers, and you can buy it
Honestly I’m torn between 7 pixel pro and this. Though ideally I need an ecosystem between watch and phone for medical reasons.
Honestly apple keep disappointing me at this point as they are SO expensive.
I would recommend the pixel 7 pro over Honor you will get a much more better experience especially since your looking to get a smart watch

And not wireless charging
Apart from the speaker the rest is all useless tech for a normal person, I think the real downside here is the camera, they all talk good about it but I have to say it is disappointing
