It will be updated to android 13 in July and will have 3 years update software. This is my next smartphone to buy in the next days for my personal use because of quality display, great battery and decent specs and because i had find a special price of 250$

Owned the Honor 70 for two months and its a cracking phone. This magic 5 lite looks very similar to it. Call of duty and pubg are buttery smooth. Played for a solid hour and no heat from the phone. Super impressed.

Bought this one second hand and i must say, my main phone is a Oppo find x3 pro now but the weight, software and battery life always draw me to the magic 5 lite 😅 if it wasn't for the mediocre camera setup i would switch immediately to this one as my main device. The outstanding battery life is such a great luxury to have and i actually prefer the overall look and feel of the software. Performance is just fine, i even kinda prefer this screen over the Oppo find x3 pro cuz of the higher touch sampling rate. Feels more direct to the touch
Isn't it crazy that the redmi note 11 pro 5g uses the same Snapdragon processor and compared to the magic 5 lite it's a choppy and glitchy experience not to mention it feels like you are holding a bar of galaxy chocolate!. I've tried a few midrange devices including the nothing phone 1 and the Samsung a54 and I must say this is a beautiful piece of kit for not much money at all! The battery is stellar and the display is beautiful and it weighs next to nothing and it's elegant. Sure it's only got one music speaker but the Bluetooth experience is fantastic and let's face it with the amount of Bluetooth headphones and speakers about you aren't going to knock marks of for this! Nice to see Honor are back on form to show Redmi, Xiaomi who's boss! Still remember my first love affair with the Honor 8 what a lovely bit of kit that was!

Nearly didn't buy this because you said it was glass, it's thankfully not after researching intensely. I haven't had any luck with glass backs so avoid always. Loving the phone so far and that battery is amazing. Love your quirky reviews. This phone kills it for the only £249.00 paid and I don't even care it's not got the latest android, don't even get why anyone gets hung up on this.
Can you tell me what the haptic feedback is like on the phone? What is the camera like also?
@@arrontaylor570 seems pretty responsive to me, as for camera, I'm not a big user of this, but I guess it does fine, I don't think most phone user would look at mid range phone if want something amazing. Phone is really good for the money, battery is outstanding

Nice review, I wasn't planning to buy this but found good deal £210 eBay. I like the design and specs. I feel I am get pull away from flagship and move towards mid/budget range phone their killer it.

Just purchased this in a Black Friday deal from CPW. So far its a cracking phone and very quick. Took it in the green which look a premium phone especially with the screen. battery is great and get a full 2 days plus out of this. pride putting a protective glass screen on and really messes with the finger print scanner. Camera is ok in good lights but any loss of light and movement, not the best. Great its running as standard now on Android 13 and comes as standard on magic 7.1 with more Ram at 8GB and 256 storage. Under £200 is a total bargain and great phone overall.
Will get the magic os 8 update ???

I think I'll just wait for upcoming Samsung A54. But there is 1 thing I love about Honor or Huawei, their design. Thin bezel display, perfect match for movies on the go and watching Uncle Spurt's review of course 😆

Looks very premium, like on 2018 high end flagship. Unfortuantely the snapdragon 695 with tiny macro and ultra wide are lenses are making this phone pointless in long term usage.

I bought this phone yesterday, only issues I have is the back camera which is atrocious as well as the mic on it is awful. Other than that and occasional stutter it's great! Front camera is literally the worst too. My gf has a redmi 9 pro which sounds miles better.
I believe all the money has gone into the display.

Looks like a decent phone, just wish Honor would use higher res ultra wides rather than these rubbish 5mp ones. 8mp or even 12mp would be much better.
I'm definitely Getting this phone.. I have The Xiaomi 11T Pro..But guess what the display is malfunctioning at times in hot weather ,the battery is overheating when charging and the Battery life is draining badly after 12 months in use. I used to own Honor phones in the past and I can't fault them . Cameras are always nice and the battery never overheats ..So I'm switching back to Mid Rangers...
Just got this phone got the 8g Ram and 256gb version at €325 .. I'm happy out.. Obviously the chipset is not as good as my Xiaomi 11T pro , but everything else I'm happy with..
Yeah my M11 Lite is freaking out, told me the other day that conditions were to cold when I was at a Theme Park in sun of about 85 degrees 😂, it also keeps turning itself off whenever I put it down. I reluctantly came to Xiaomi from Huawei P30 pro, which was the best phone I owned. My standards are not so high now lol, just ordered this Honor (my first one) so see how it goes. Doubt I will get a Xiaomi again though.
@@lazyeejay Yes I'm using the Honor Magic5 Lite now, but the cameras are not as good as my Xiaomi 11T Pro... So i use my 11T Pro only for my photography and thr Honor Magic5 Lite as my main for calls texts and app browsing.. I'm ok for awhile now 🤣
@@MPA-ww2oy Nope.. I have this phone awhile now, much better display and more responsive than my old 11T Pro.. No over heating issues, only downfall on this phone are the cameras.. That's the only fault I have with this Magic5 Lite they're not great.. My 11T Pro was much better for snapping and taking videos, far superior . The battery is super though, better than my Xiaomi 11T Pro for standby and while using it.

How does it handle daily usage, games which aren't too hard on the processor, and how long does it last?
@@toki-9750 well I don't use it for gaming I use it for the daily social media checks and watching videos and it's great for all of that, very vibrant colour which of course you can change. The curved screen isn't an issue at all in fact I would say it enhances the experience. Battery wise it's brilliant I get through 2 days on one charge and the amount I use it, it stays at 100% for about 5 hours so over two days I would say I use about 40% of its power both days. I took it off charge at 6:30am this morning and I'm at 68% as I'm typing this which really impressed me and from having it a few days now I know that I will go to bed and still have at least 60% when I wake up which will see me through tomorrow until I put it on charge tomorrow night. Honestly I can't say enough good things about it. My only gripe if I absolutely had to pick one is I wish I could change the fingerprint animation to one other than the 3 it comes with but that is an absolute nit pick and doesn't change my opinion that this is a fantastic phone, I thought I loved my sony Xperia 5 ii but this is on another level of great.

The Xiaomi 11 lite really really started the slim and lightweight larger screen phone. One of the best ideas for phones to date.
Hi. You said built in screen protector? I've had the phone for one day and the screen is starting to scratch. The screen, and scuffs, look like you would have on a plastic film type screen protector you would get on a brand new phone and remove before use. Does my phone have a removable screen protector fitted at factory which can be removed or not please? Or is this the actual screen, Thanks
The Magic Lite 5's screen has very good durability, you can even see videos where they ran over it with a car and its still in perfect condition. You must have scratched a default screen protector.

@@anttro4308 IMO the lite is an SE or FE version. it's attached to the high end phones family name, but definitely not attached to the normal or pro phone as the specs is just not similar. As well as the price point, iPhone SE is at Apples entry level price, FE is Galaxy entry level price.
So if you want the honour of owning a new Magic 5 device, but can't afford the regular magic 5 or the pro or the rumoured ultimate (Pro Max/ Ultra), go for the lite just if you want honour of owning a iPhone or Galaxy S, but can't get the high priced variant, get the SE /FE

Those bezels, while small, appear way smaller on Honor's photos of the phone on their website. Really wish companies wouldn't do that. I expect it with McDonalds burgers but not a phone.

HONOR wins! 🏆Magic 5 Lite is new Battery endurance king 👑 on the prestigious DXO Mark site. So, if battery life means something this is now the best in the world and even by some margin! And that georgeous 6,67 Super AMOLED screen is stunning and super smooth scrolling with 120hz refresh rate. And finally for a big screen phone it's amazing how little it weights at only 175 grams. Flagship phones are now in 2023 between 210-250 grams and they are way too heavy in my opinion (and I'm a big man). Finally, now in 3 April price is already down to 299€ here in Finland 🇫🇮 (~250£). It's Mono speaker is only major letdown but how about using good phones instead and problem solved.
I'm hesitating to buy this phone since it's processor is snapdragon 695, from which I have only heard bad things. The other specs are quite decent though.
