I got into the hobby in mid-2019. During covid I was saving money and dug in deeper. I still rarely have time to play. With the last price increase, and these new seasons adding too many rules for a still newbie player, GW has finally pushed me out. I'm going to concentrate on One Page Rules with all my GW models now.

Honestly my LGS always has a few store copies on hand. Plus internet resources make this book irrelevant to me.
I feel the app subscription should auto update with the new gt mission packs for both 40k and AOS. Theese competative mission packs are only for more veteran and enfranchised players. And that is the group of people shelling out for the warhammer subscription.
Gw needs to make more leaps into the 21rst century. And a living ruleset is the baseline. At least they allowed free points updates this time round.

attacking from second ranks with GV means: I can now attack from second rank with my liberators (base 40mm, range 1") from second rank? that is quite a boost.

Not doing this every five months or six. There are other games and I can play older versions

If you are only playing casually would you suggest playing with the Seasons of War: Thondia book instead???

I only want the generals handbook for it's rules on allies, since most of my models are units are lightly spread out among every faction. Would it be worth it to get the book just for that? Where can I find the updated rules on allies? And how to specifically use them?

@@BudgetWaaagh aww thanks :) You saved me some money. It seems like the rules for allies are a little simpler then I thought. I have friends who know the game better then I do, so they'll explain the rules when I play with them.

It can’t stay $50 for long.

these updates every 6 months are a shame on GW as a company there are better methods to this madness then the path GW has chosen.
I'm sick and tired of needing to pay for a half assed paywall to continue playing an already overpriced game and miniatures

@@BudgetWaaagh its also the point at which i don't think GW has realized what they did with models.
as a guy with 10000 points spread across multiple armies, i'm not seeking to purchase any more units, i just want to be able to use all my models and have them actually be balanced correctly to play...... hell i've got so many bits from older kits that I kit bash most models I do end up wanting.
GW needs to wise up to the factor that they cant bench on overpriced minis forever, the cash flow is not forever no matter how much GW believes they can pull a Disney, not even Disney could do it that, they are bleeding money too from their own bad antics.
