@@nostupidgod9415 not really... kobe played longer than Jordan...so injuries mounted up on him. He also joined the NBA right out of high school, Jordan didn't. So beating ur knees up at NBA level right from high school wears ur body out. Kobe was 17 when drafted, Jordan was 22. Kobe 20 seasons while Jordan only played 15 seasons. That's why Jordan played into his 40's.

I bought 4 tickets to this game the moment I heard MJ was playing that year (myself, gf, dad, best friend). They were nose bleed seats and I couldn’t afford them, but this matchup was too big to miss. I could see Kobe shooting long range three after long range three. After the first quarter, they had a video tribute to MJ on the big screen. Kobe was not to be denied, he just kept dropping 3’s. Great game but you could clearly see it was now Kobe’s time. MJ goat, Kobe arguably 2nd. I have two pairs of Jordan’s, but the day Kobe died I bought my first pair of Kobe’s. I’m the same age and this one hurt. RIP Kobe.

If I wasn't alive to see Kobe with my own eyes, I might not believe this man was real. He's almost like a myth. I would never believe there was a person that went through the extreme lengths that Kobe did to be excellent at not only basketball, but literally everything that he pursued in life. The discipline, commitment, seeking of knowledge, eye for detail, along with his supreme confidence, charisma and passion for learning everything; from basketball and all it's intricacies, to multiple languages, to business, to writing novels, to poetry, to film-making, the list goes on. There was and never will be another like Kobe. People say a great person is a "1 in a million" or even a billion, and think that it's a huge compliment. Kobe was even rarer than that. I'll miss you forever Kobe. Now you can rest. Mamba forever ❤️

I’d say the same thing about Michael Jordan. I saw him against the Warriors in Oakland in 1997. Everybody was screaming his name and cheered when he scored. Nobody cared about their own team and worshipped MJ. Fans of opposing teams didn’t do that for Kobe when he played on their turf. That’s the difference. NBA fans all over cheered for MJ against their own team!!! That’s why MJ is the greatest.

Now, I am a huge Jordan fan, and as I look at these highlights, listen to the ooohs and aaahs and cheers for Michael Jordan, in the house that Kobe built. It is no wonder that Kobe wanted to be like Mike, mimic Mike, and got so damn close to being like Mike. These two have got to be the biggest global icons in sports history, along with Ali. Kobe was on fire in this game hitting all of those shots and Michael Jordan played his final year in 2003 and we will never see a player like him again because he had so much passion and love for the game. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017 to find me.
