10:27 I truly believe this is what Jordan wanted all along. He wasn't happy with the direction of the NBA so he came back. Kobe beating him is actually the best way to send him off. He can rest assured that the NBA is in good hands, truly staying competitive going forward. He did the same thing to Bird, Magic, and Thomas. He calls it "passing the torch". Not really a Jordan fan, but I like this aspect of his persona. Made me smile. 🙂

Kobe didn't ruin the game at all, and he squeezed it like a lemon... I admit that this match is top3 allstar game ever for me and thank you Kobe for that!!! He's exactly like Jordan said he could have hit three shots with ease. He was throwing for 3 because he wanted to win... Jordan and Kobe are different mentalities... This match was their duel. Jordan passed the baton and Kobe showed respect by missing one free throw to give the aging basketball god a chance. I will also add that Vinc's act letting MJ into the top five and Marion's amazing defense at this throw made this match an icon of the All-Star Game, the icing on the cake, a determinant of fun and competition in one... What would I give to make the All-Star Game look like this every year... Imagine the matches... that goes head to head Kobe vs MJ as in this match ... Steph Curry vs. Ray Allen... Duncan vs Jokic... I agree but he still wanted to play. You can't blame the man for that. It's his career. He earned the right to continue playing if he chose to do so. Remember the Bulls dynasty was broken up and almost every player on that team wanted to go for a 7th title. Jordan himself has said they should've kept running it back until someone beat them. Because even he knows no one wins all the time. And throughout history dynasties were beaten by other teams. Pistons overcame Celtics and Lakers. Bulls overcame the Pistons and Lakers sort of. Pistons ended the Lakers run. Injuries and the Raptors ended the Warriors run even though they won 1 more a few years later. And some team will dethrone the Warriors this season. Because they look done. Mike is the ultimate competitor so it sounds to me like he wanted to keep going until someone beat em. Instead his own body, father time, and Jerry Reinsdorf beat em.

See, I look at this video and laugh at Kobe.
    "Nah he gotta earn it!"
That's what Mike has told Kobe his entire career up to that point every time they matched up. Mike said "earn it". Kobe gave him the treatment. That is respect. That's the respect that Jordan loves, the Passion of the game, the win is what matters. The challenge is what matters.

Isiah was desperate to patch things up w/ Mike. MJ was already hesitant about taking Vince's spot. He would've been disappointed in Kobe if the latter didn't take the last shot. Just like how Bryant scolded LeBron for passing up two clutch shots in the 2012 ASG.

We all blame Jermaine butt for making that awful unwanted foul. Slide with him and contest the shot. It was almost like kobe told him to foul. You know how players talk to each other while guarding or dribbling. Kobe was being himself after Jermaine gave up that play. We talked about that moment, WWE, and the Chappelle show. Good times when life was simple and more free minded without a bunch of Karen's walking around.
