Today I took some time to make up some more TIG welding rod holders. These are fairly low cost PVC tubes of different sizes to keep my welding rod protected and organized.
Why not use a male and female threaded adapter on the vertical style instead of the slip fit? That way you’ll get the perks of pulling the cap off and having short rod exposed and the rigidity of the threads for holding between supports horizontally.
Good stuff RJ. I wish I knew how to tig weld! If I ever get the chance to own and learn a tig welder, I will be following your lead here for sure.
