  • In this video I used a MK14 ceramic TIG cup out of one of my new Navigator Gas Lens kits. I get a ton of feedback on the type of kits folks want to see, and this by far was the most requested setup.

    Would love to download everything welding-related from your head 😂 I’ve been following you for well over 14 years probably and you always have the best Arc Shots. 👍🏻 I can't wait for the Tig Wire feeder to get cheaper, that will be the cat's meow. I want a Fronius machine and Helmet, but it's a lot of money and custom jobs aren't as plentiful as they once were. Can you do a video on MAG welding? You are the Bob Ross of Welding, my friend. I’d love to meet you in person someday.

Will definitely keep that in mind, along with the "Hot & fast is better than cold & slow" part next time I throw my hood on. Once again, learned something new from you! Thanks again!!

      @ARCSTREAMS Před 2 dny

      one thing i learned on my own when tig welding thin sheet ss (im talkin 22-24 gauge son) is to get the arc just lit slightly at the lowest possible amp and then get closer to the work and wait for the puddle to form before going higher on the amps and starting the run otherwise you just burn through or get crappy looking welds

    I have a pallet full of 5/8"-3/4"thick x 24" to 48" long, beveled and slotted paper shear blades from a old paper cutting factory I've been holding onto with no idea what to use it for, that I might have to make my own welding fixture with now.
    Love the new 17 style kits, will be ordering some soon! One thing I've learned from welding is you can't have too much Expendables in on hand!!

I hadn't don't much tig and she used to do production so between us we got it basically set and trans got put in. Welder did awesome. Now for me to practice.

    • @weldingtipsandtricks
      @weldingtipsandtricks  Před 25 dny +1

      No advantage. 1/16” would be plenty big for this amperage

    • @benz-share9058
      @benz-share9058 Před 25 dny +1

      But perhaps no disadvantage either-just need to have a sharp tapered point. And reduced need to switch electrodes and gear if you are sometimes needing to weld heavier stuff with more amps.
