Are you kidding me, Europe? How did Romania not qualify in the final? The saddest miss of the final in history. Once again, Europe has mocked Romania.
She was struggling to sing with the choreography she was given. And the accident during the jury rehearsal may have affected her chances as well. I still live the song but the semi was sooooo strong.

are YOU kidding me? she was out of key all the time, on a pre recorded instrumental, it was not lousy, it was a shameful performance. I am romanian too and i like her songs including this one, but she was absolutely embarrassing. she put zero effort into it. if she wants to be a good live performer she has to get herself a steady band and rehearse, rehearse, rehearse until she sounds good with her crew. you are either deaf or a drama queen. romania has mocked romania because we sent an unprepared artist.
As a Romanian I can say it sounds too generic compared to other songs I listen to(and I mean American songs not romanian ones) it doesnt sounds European enough
@@ruralplayer She has Lyme disease, so for her having to sing and dance at the same time was very difficult, basically because Lyme disease causes extreme fatigue. This is the main reason why she struggled with the choreo. The romanian federation should have put more effort into her performance. They just didn't take her into consideration. If it were up to me I would have fired all of them!

It was a huge shame it didn't make it, it was my top 3 in an incredible strong field in semi 1, likely top 1. New Swedish rigmaster and Norway and Sweden made it through somehow. Only 6 of my 10 voted for made it through.
It's sad that she wasn't stable during the performance, otherwise she would've been such a strong competitor and would've gone to the finals. It's such an amazing song after all 💖

It would be better if the acrobatics with the dancers like throwing and dragging her around were removed and the only choreo were some minor things like walking and some hand movements

Hello. I think for many of us Roxen is a clear favorite. She is in our hearts. See how many people are crying because she didn't make it to the finals. I am among them. She was nervous and you could easily see she wasn't comfortable with that amount of pressure and audience ... not an excuse, as she's definitely gifted .... I wish her well and we can all see the potential in her! End of the day, her song is about resilience.
I agree. This version is like from a different planet compared to the live version. Live version sounded quite bad and that might be because of nervousness.
Roxen is diagnosed with an advanced stage of Lyme disease. Since it’s chronic for her i am sure the fatigue, sleep problems and very possible muscle pains took their toll during the relocating for the ESG. I think the choreo was a bit too challenging too. We will keep on rooting for her regardless! She is a winner in our eyes and a fighter!

It is so nice to see lyrics that actually has such strong meaning in Eurovision. Because, usually they write really basic lyrics just to sing in English.

I mean... Rhis lyrics are not the most complex thing we've heard and if something there is always a lot of "meaningful" songs at ESC. This year it could be Malta, Latvia, Azerbeijan, Romania, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Slovenia Germany also has meaning (though I do feel like that is kinda annoying). It is true that most of Eurovision songs have basic lyrics, but it is not the lack of meaning that makes that, rather just basic words used.

What a masterpiece!
You can totally see her soul trying to find its own light in the darkness, surrounded by the other people's thoughts ( the dancers ). Just before the bridge, her soul breaks free, but it gets corrupted again, portraying that our minds are never truly free. However, it's the beauty of always staying strong and moving on, because you are not alone.
Her voice, the dancers, colours, the video... I'm amazed.

Having dealt with anxiety for many years, the way I interpret this video is that every dancer is a thought. Our thoughts can be erratic, harmful, and overly self-critical, putting us down and dragging us across the floor if we let them.
It's clear as the dance progresses, that she has a shift in her thinking towards the end, and realizes that we are actually the ones in control of our thoughts, instead of the other way around.
Just like in the dance, diving into your thoughts and analyzing them can help you face your fears, understand yourself, and literally train your mind, so you can hopefully turn that inner voice into your friend, and end up being “lifted” and empowered by your thoughts, instead of put down. And one thing I’ve learned so far, is that self-love and self-acceptance are definitely the foundation on which you can build a better relationship with yourself.
You have described it perfectly! I've been there too and the video spoke to me in the same way. It could also be about real people demanding too much from us, but the critical thoughts in our mind are really the most harmful.

If they hadn't tried to recreate this video on the Eurovision stage, she might have made it to the final! All she needed to do was stand in front of a microphone and sing! She should not have been included in the choreography on the stage! I love this song, and I will listen to it forever!
