Malta, Iceland, Bulgaria and Cyprus (if they ever try to stop copying the success of 2018 that is) have been on the right track to eventually win. Malta and Iceland have a decent chance of winning this year although Malta more so. It’s a shame because Iceland was basically the unofficial winner of 2020, they shouldn’t even be on this list, damn you covid.

Sometimes it is as easy as it seems: people simply have their own taste of music and if the majority of people (and jurys) have a different taste we all have to live with that and should stop to blame others/the circumstances/ the politics/ "nobody loves us" for it.

this Montenegro song is still one of my favourite ESC songs ever. Sad it ranked so low. :( I also liked Czechia's song from 2018, one of the most original ones I still occasionally go back to. And Poland, as I've heard, got disqualified because Edyta Górniak included the English "no" when back then the songs had to be entirely in contestants' mother tongue. Also, that Bulgaria's song was really good as well!
