For those that confused, this is showing the amount of years that a country has gone without winning the contest
For example, Ukraine won last year, so they have gone without winning for 1 year
And the list goes on

I would just wonder when most given countries would win.
Can you also do a list of most years before first win? (With a snapshot of the song that brought the first win) Preferably counting only the times taken part in the competition, including times not qualified.

@@samnabuurs ehm cyprus 2018 was a WINNER song and not this chicken song, so it is unfair… and also bulgaria sending a great song in 2016, 2017 & 2018 (in 2020 they were the clear winner for me but because of covid they didn‘t even had the chance) and also slovenia sending a winner song in 2011 or romania in 2010

Nah...Chanel's vocals were weak...her dance was good but if you hear her original voice "not the playbacks" you will hear a very bad,bad voice

In the cases of countries which have never won the contest, their placement is based on how long they have been in the contest for. And the song that is played is their best ever result.

actually it depends on who you ask, but croatia actually won the contest (the band behind the winning song "rock me" is croatian)

A esto habría que restarle los años que llevan sin participar los países para que fuera realmente justo la cuenta. Porque no es lo mismo llevar 30 años sin ganar habiendo participado todos los años que 30 años sin ganar pero habiendo dejado de participar hace 12 años como slovakia o bosnia herzegovina
Mismo para Italia antes de 2021, no ganó por 30 años pero también no participó de 1997 hasta 2011

I always thought 1989 should count as a Croatian win, since it was a Croatian band and it was held in Zagreb the following year. Or as the win of all the former Yugoslav republics. It's a shame to let that win go to waste!
He should of made that Yugoslavia and S&M count tho, but i guess they can't win anymore
I hope Spain explores its different own sounds and continues the way they started with Blanca Paloma this year. Because, honestly, if Spain wins after all those years with some pop song that could be sent by any country, it would feel quite anticlimatic 😂
I'd advise the opposite, Spain came 3rd and might have won in 2022 had it not been for Ukraine war, with a fairly standard pop song with a dance break, this year they sent something more traditional sounding and it was an absolute flop, last in Public vote. So, sorry, I wholeheartedly disagree!
@@callumwright2085 If Chanel had won it would have meant nothing to me, honestly. It was a song chosen by the jury (only received 4% of the televote at BenFest), the lyrics were awful and the music was 100% american. Was she a superb performer? Yes. Did people love the song? Also yes. Did I felt represented by it? Not at all 😂
Not to mention the fact that Spain has been sending generic pop songs for years and they also flopped. So the point I was trying to make was that if we're going to get shitty results, at least let's do it with something cool and original. Maybe flamenco doesn't click with Europe, but we have more cultures and even more languages and LITERALLY NOTHING TO LOSE AT THIS POINT 😂😂😂
