Albania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 19 times since its debut in 2004. Festivali i Këngës, a long-standing song contest that takes place every year in Albania since 1962, is used to select the country's entrant for that year's Eurovision Song Contest. Albania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2004 with Anjeza Shahini placing seventh. It remained the country's highest result in the contest until 2012, when Rona Nishliu finished fifth.

If a song starts with a women singing a high note, you know it's an Albanian entry.
Albina is an amazing and beautiful singer! I wished the family would be in Top 10 but it's my favourite number. 22nd is actually a top 10 placement, just outside the top 10. So many masterpieces there

Albania definetly became one of my favorite countries over the years, not only do they have interesting styles in music but they always manage to send an amazingly strong singer

Albania is proof that a consistent national selection works well, as does being true to their musical culture. They haven't won yet, but they have a lot of fan favorite songs. Countries like Germany could take a lesson from them.

Definitely the strongest vocalists overall and everyone's a professional. Look, normally, if an act is supposed to be XYZ and their family, you're afraid that their voices aren't that good, but not in Albina's case, both parents and all 3 of her siblings actually have better vocals than some of the main acts in the 23 contest.
You are making the most underrated joke of 21st century. My favourites are the ones that albania does not qualify -which almost all of them-
I remember back in 2018 I just on a whim watched a recap of the entries before the show, just 10 seconds of Albania's entry that year turned me into a hardcore eurovision fan. It remains the best entry of all time IMO.

From 2004(Shahini) til 2010 (Pasha) all songs beautiful. After 2010 i like mostly 2015 song, 2022 and 2023.
I really like Luiz from 2006. It's very nice to see my favourite 2006 song getting some recognition from the fans 😍

Albania is hands down the country with the best vocalists in the whole contest and I think that Rona Nishliu is the strongest female singer, while Eugent Bushpepa got the best male voice. I hope for more great artists to represent Albania and I want them to win very soon.
For me Albina Kelmendi has by far the strongest female vocals this year, she's my queen this year... She's on fire🔥

@@xromyx in my taste they are great songs! Fall from the sky I believe would have been a dark horse with a very good result. Juries would love that song I feel. As for Sekret I agree that the live performance was not the best and could have been better obviously but the song is sooo good.

Albania is strange for me. I highly dislike their best result song( Its just so much yelling and no real melody. Can't believe it got 5th place) but I really enjoy a lot of their songs like 2004, 2009, 2018( my favorite), 2020, 2021 and 2023.
Suus was great and even if it was Yelling (Which it's not, it's belting) give her praise for being able to yell for that long and managing to make yelling sound that good.

Apparently in a minority, but I love the sound of the Albanian language, sounds fierce. Always disappointed when they change to English. 2008, 2005 (albanian version preferred), 2015, 2004, 2011 are my faves.

I gotta say in all honesty that 2013's Identitet is my favorite Albania entry yet. I do think, though, they had a poor live performance sadly. But the studio version rocks hard.
