- Hi! As the game is finally officially available, I've decided to share my own experience from the game from beginning to End.
This is the rematch Battle of All boss after the game is finished. This is Post-Game Stuff.

i know right i hope that intelligent systems does this type of good post game content for the ttyd remake like giving a boss rush allowing you to re fight the bosses whenever you want to it’s what the remake desperately needs

I just beat Cluex 3D (without the Lazy Shell armour), and I have to say the post-game was amazing!!! The post-game bosses required thinking, strategizing, and being good at timed hits. You couldn't just brute-force your way through. If more RPGs were like this, I could certainly get back into playing them.
Before the remake was released, there was talk about whether they were going to keep Culex 2D (because of the 2D vs 3D jokes from the Japanese version of the original game) or make him 3D. Turns out, they did both, which I thought was brilliant.
As I played the game, I didn't know there would be a 3D Culex. I beat Smithy, then went to Star Hill to see all the post-game wishes, and then went to fight Culex first. I was so glad they kept him 2D and added all the jokes that were previously only in the Japanese version. Then I went back to Star Hill to see if anything happened to his wishing star. When I saw his updated wish, I was like "OH, NO WAY!!!" That was the best way ever to find out that he gets both a 2D and a 3D form.
About that he's nearly impossible to kill even WITH it equipped and yes the Meteor spell EVERY 4 turns does the Full 20 damage to a Lazy shell user that not even a LV30 peach WOULD survive it.
Unlike the 2D battle 3D Culex I believe has INFINITE FP which is why the 4 crystals would run out FP first but he NEVER will.

@@benrusnak.929 Try equipping the Feather and Zoom shoes. It worked for me. I did that and Geno Whirled the Snifsters for 9999 damage so they wouldn't give Booster moral support.

I have never fought Booster ever so I thought he wouldn't be difficult until he pulled out the all instant kill attack. I still beat him first try but that's when I stopped and really thought about my strategy. Johnny was hard though, took several tries, and Punchinello took 2 because I didn't know what to do with the bombs on the first go. Culex rematch made me pop off and I was happy with how difficult he was despite still beating him first go.
Some tips for every post game boss except for culex.
Belome: Using some resistance accessories can help aton, focus on the clones, and when they are dead, use any lightning attack to kill belome quickly.
Punchenello: Practice getting perfects on your weapons consistently as the bombs only move backwards when you get a perfect. You can go into the boss and Practice getting blocks on the bombs.
Booster: Kill the snifsters or else you lose. They are weak to Ice, so uee mallows snowy ability to wipe them out. Use mainly aoe attacks to make sure booster doesnt get his train.
Cake: Use sleep bombs. Thats it.
Jones: Use geno and bowser, you can either practice blocking his attacks or use lazy shell and ghost medal to shield.
Jinx: Get a bunch of pick me ups if you want to live. This time, u have to get perfects every time or jinx will destroy you. You can use any triple move to win.
Im sorry but they shouldve definitely put in rematches for axem rangers, valentina & dodo, yardovich and of course smity Along with these i think it wouldve been awesome. Also i think they shouldve added a boss rush gauntlet from 1st to last to see how far you can go beating one after the other.
They have to save something for a DLC to sell later. Players will complain about a $10 DLC that is completely optional as usual but since the remake has been so successful Nintendo knows hardcore fans would buy it anyway 🙃
@@XanafiedcatGaming $10 for a bunch of post game bosses is a fair price, look at KH3 RE:Mind, that sod well despite its price and retreading the main story, with a lot of post game bosses on top
@@hyperfairy7779 I completely agree, a DLC around that price would be perfectly fair. My point is there will still be a large number of players that will complain about it but end up buying it anyway. This is just what usually happens even though most of the DLC content Nintendo releases is usually good.
$10 i wpuld definitely pay for plenty of extras. Look at re4 remake separate ways. Sooo worth $10 and you got alot more for your money
@@XanafiedcatGaming as for what I'd like it to contain, infinite rematches against post game bosses we have now ((for small coin and frog coin rewards, items may be too OP,)) and infinite rematches against toughened versions of the smithy gang, including smithy himself

For people who have some trouble with Booster, Geno Whirl’s insta kill actually works on the Snifsters you could also use Mallow’s Snowy as they’re weak to Ice
you can also mute them and at times they would skip a turn honestly each time booster went to work I'd just hit him with mario to break his concentration

How do you initiate the rematches? Already beat Culex AND Smithy, saved data after, got the notification for post game fun, but none of the bosses are initiating rematches in their areas
Head back to Mario's house I believe and Toad will give you a card to stay in a special suite at the hotel in Marrimore. Then sleep in that hotel by touching the shroom light and Geno will have a dream telling you to go back to the Star Hill. Follow from there.

Culex was so difficult I had beaten him in 38 turns

Mallow was huge help with elemental attacks as well as thought path teaching me weaknesses of all the enemy and geno with having the rainbow healing when geno in the back down was incredibly helpful allowing me beat. Culex with star egg

Culex the 2nd time in 3D is super hard, I’m watching how you manage to beat it lol.
Alot of people are having problems with booster. I was too. Take out the snifsters with ice attacks from mallow or ice bombs. Then work on booster.
Working on booster first is more efficient

Okay these boss fights are actually hard.
The hard mode bosses give everyone weapon power-ups except Mario and Peach. Not giving Mario kind of makes sense, but you'd think Peach would get one.
She already has the frying pan, lul
It would've been cooler if peach got a gold frying pan after beating extra fancy bundt
I mean maybe the enduring brooch is for peach, after all she is the healer
Fighting the 3D Culex is so damn difficult! I keep losing 🥲
The trick is in the last turn before Culex meteor attack, you swap Peach for another team member, that way you dont waste Pickmeups on her and use her to hal your team
Memorize the turn order and count those turns carefully. If you have Peach and Geno in the front line you can use the Spare-us-all to void Meteor; else, top off your HP with Group Hugs and/or colas right before the Meteor and then pop a Finless or Kero/Croaka afterward.
Also, Final Claw is blockable. If you beat the crystals first, they buff everything else as they go, but it's faster than slogging through a 9999 HP reraise.
If you did non-magic levelup bonuses, you might need to forego the Work Pants for the legendary-tier armors such as the Heel Shell so the crystals don't slam you to pieces.
@@tiniracoon Alternatively, make sure everyone is healed to full so they survive the meteor attack with 1 hp.
Booster and Punchinello were a pain to deal with.
For me, it was booster and Jonathan Jones, Jonathan jones i kept getting so close bur then i kept on dying, i need the lazy shell armor, lazy shell weapon, jinx belt, and bowser and geno to cheer for me

Johnny was the first boss to give me a game over........and I'm proud of that if I had to go down at least it was in a manly fight with johnny not even culex 3d was able to beat me
losing to a cake however yea that's were my man points went down
Mine was Booster. He's probably the hardest boss in the game.

No Valentina rematch? You'd think with Booster getting one and the fact they both get together in the ending, Valentina would get one too.

Considering you technically have not fought Smithy yet, a rematch is impossible.
There is no Bowser rematch? Would be fun to defeat him properly.
the wack part bout punchinello's refight is the bombs that hit punchinello for some reason ruin the chain count so that effectively technically ruins the "carry 999 chain through the whole game" challenge, but deff shouldn't count since the player didn't mess anything up.

Booster is bullshit for me at least i dont get any time to react to his attacks sometimes he just works and sends the train insta game over

@@Austin15612 sometimes he starts working on the train and the snifster boosts morale immediately making him one shot this happens to me a lot I'm stuck on him rn
As soon as the fight opened my first time doing it, booster immediately started working, one of his minions boosted him, and I immediately lost 3 of my characters. It is bullshit.
i managed to beat it with mario geno and n=bowser on breezy mode and i just beat the hell out of booster and GRIND levels@@brythewiseguy
Just got done with all the rematches. I will say these rematches will push you to the limit.
Belome 4/10 difficulty: As long you take out the clones immediately you are fine.
Punchinello 7/10 difficulty He will fuck you up if you don't know how to land perfect hits on the bombs.
Bundt 3/10 Have Peach on your team. She can put the chefs to sleep.
Booster 10/10 Have Peach and Bowser on your team first. Peach and Bowser can put some type of status ailments on the Snifsters. The first train attack will happen. Have Boswer attack all the snifsters at all times. Once Mallow and Geno come on the team you should have enough time to build up Star Riders and finish him off.
Jinx 10/10 This asshole pissed me off the most. Just keep landing attacks until you build off a triple move to hit him and you will be fine.
Culex 3D: 15/10 Mario/Peach/Geno. Have Mario and Geno attack the crystals. Peach can heal and revive you. Also as long you are at full health, you will take his ultimate move but as long as you have Peach you will be fine. Also he will lock Y, X, and A buttons every now and then but don't panic, stay focused. Once you knock out each crystal the pace will slow down.
The real trick to Booster is to just get decent with Mario's super jump and brute force him, I lost to him the first time trying to attack everyone then just went all in against Booster and won with ease

Belome: Forgettable. The clones being able to shield him from damage was probably necessary just to pad out the fight.
Punchinello: This was frustrating; even with the Lazy Shell, Peach was taking a crapload of damage from everything, not just the Bob-Ombs. This fight, in five words: "Learn the timing or die." And die I did, a few times.
Booster: Speed is key. The only -Speed gear you can afford is the Lazy Shell armor; maybe also Booster's Charm on the same unit if you didn't get the Attack Scarf yet. I didn't have that scarf until after my first loss against the cake rematch ... oops. This took me 2.5 tries; I threw an attempt by butchering my front line's speed just to see if Booster could Loco Express 023 before a slow player can even get their first turn.
Cake: The chefs being weak to Sleep was telegraphed so hard that I'm a bit embarrassed I didn't immediately try it. It's necessary to stay ahead of the candles though.
Johnny: Even with the Lazy Shell armor, Johnny can put up decent damage if unblocked. Geno partially mitigates the Lazy Shell's attack/speed penalties, while Bowser gave me a little more Defense. But block those skewers! This fight took me a few tries, but there also wasn't a whole lot that could be done with it...
Jinx: Jinx is a hilarious wet fart if you equip stuff that gives you instant kill immunity. I want to say in my case it was the Attack Scarf on Mario and the Jinx Belt on Peach, but the only Deathproof source I'm certain of is the Quartz Charm.
Culex: I won at level 26 in 59 turns. Even after you learn how to play around Meteor, it can be a dangerous attack because letting it land forces you to play damage control IMMEDIATELY, but if all his crystals are gone, Final Claw is blockable without any tricks. If you're trying to speedrun the fight, though, it's easier to take out the crystals than to slog through a 9999 HP reraise.
