I am genuinely worried about the dude. I am actually hoping it is just laziness and complacency, in not bothering to or being motivated to lift weights, which is why he looks so gaunt and skinny and not an underlying health issue or injury we don't know about. Never had the body of an Adonis or been a beast granted but he looked a lot healthier in nXt.

As a ring announcer, I stopped asking wrestlers for their weights. Because half the time, I'd ask someone their weight, and they'd always ask: "What does my opponent weigh?" and they would change theirs to be bigger than their opponents. So I just started going with hometowns only.
Yeah I found weights to be a nuisance back in the 80s when I was the AWA Canadian heavyweight champion. Bobby Heenan managed me as the Canadian Goose. I came in at 238 but some critics said that wasn't heavyweight. I miss those days . Canadian Goose vs . Nick Bockwinkle or Vergne Gagne headlined many a show back in the 80s . I especially miss the Canadian tours in Moosejaw , to Calgary all the way to Quebec and Newfoundland. The Canadian Goose was practically the Brett Hart of that Era . And who will ever forget Goose vs Harley Race in Quebec city to a 60 minute draw over the NWA world title, daddy . I remember we sold out the show was called
"Ascension et chute " which I think in French means Rise and Fall .

I remember in 2000 they said Big Show was 500 pounds when back then he was way closer to 400. And they said Viscera was 486. Viscera was clearly at least 100 pounds heavier than Big Show at the time!
Still, Show was easily able to pick Viscera up and slam him! He was in incredible shape then!
To be fair, Viscera was a lot fatter than Big Show so it makes sense that he'd look heavier.

Jim tried to get me to wrestle out of high school. I was 6’3” and weighted 220lbs and was solid muscle!! I played football, basketball, and wrestled but got in a car wreck and ruined my leg so it put me out. I ended up being a iron worker!
I hate driving to this day. I played AAA minor league baseball until some asshole drunk driver decided otherwise.
Yall could still kick the crap out of Adam Cole.

I can remember back around 2015/2016 when Adam Cole got hurt when he was with ROH and when he came back he was pretty chubby. It took him a solid 6 months to shed that weight.
He wasn't chubby. He built some muscle. That is the way Cole would look like if he gain some muscle. Cole seems to have gone for cardio now. No weights.

One of the funniest things in recent memory is when they listed Brock Lesnar at 266 but they constantly say Triple H and the Rock (when he was lean in the early '00s) were 275.
Brock is listed at 266 because that is the UFC heavyweight limit. He is probably bigger seeing how he use to cut to make 266.

I have never seen Adam Cole before, so I just looked him up on CZcams. The first thumbnail on the list was an interview with him on a podcast I'd never heard of. Both he and the host were pictured on said thumbnail. I couldn't tell which one was the wrestler until I watched some of the video when he was introduced.

And what's worst was this guy along with Bronson Reed were Jim Cornette's favorite NXT wrestlers prior to the reboot when both looked like guys working at your local gamestop.

Pat McAfee is 6’1” and was listed at 233 as his weight when he played in the NFL and Pat looked much bigger than Adam Cole. And I like Adam Cole but ever since it was pointed out I can’t get over how his head looks to small for his body 😂
Eddie was 5’8” … Benoit was 5’11” but they at least looked proportional and like athletes. Heck in the NFL sometimes the small undersized corners and safeties can be some of the hardest hitting players in the league. So it’s not necessary about height / weight as it is looking like an actual athlete (in terms of pro wrestling). That’s why Daniel Bryan can get over being a smaller wrestler. He still LOOKS believable.

It seems like AEW has just recently started bumping the weights of the smaller guys by a lot. Jungle Boy was consistently billed as 165 lbs. Then, on their first or second Rampage, he was announced as 185 or 190. And like you say Myles, Nick Jackson has been about a buck-seventy for years, and now he's announced at over 200 lbs? Don't bullshit me, AEW.

If I were a wrestler, I'd be from Turkey Burp, Tennessee and my tag team partner would be from Hog Vomit, Arkansas. I'm 6' 2", 235-240lbs. so they'd probably bill me as being 6'5", 290lbs. And of course the cameramen would hold the camera at knee level to make me appear taller.
I'm 6ft6 so in wrestling I'd be what 6ft10 hell I think kane is my height those soles of his boots were thick as hell.

Andre's billed height and weight was all over the place. He'd go from 7'0" to 7'8" in a week, then down to 7'2" the following week. He weight was billed as anywhere between 450 and 575 pounds.
His height was always billed at 7'4 or 7'5. But yes his weight changed alot . I always remember his weight being 520 in the late 80s.

not saying this is the case in this situation, but there are some people who just weigh differently. for myself, i am in pretty decent shape and most people guess i am around 160 to 170. i am actually around 215 (it's not just my scale, my doctor has weighed me as well with the same result...and he was shocked as well lol). im sure many times the weights are inflated, but just saying it's not always so easy to tell as some individuals are just weird lol (to be fair, i do have pretty ridiculous bone density as well, but im sure thats not the only thing contributing to my weight)

Announcing guys that are CLEARLY not a pound heavier than 175 (soaking wet, with bricks in their pockets), as weighing 200+ LBS is going a bit too far. When they used to say Rey Mysterio was 180, I couldn't help rolling my eyes. 🙄
The thing is Rey actually was around that weight. I remember he was 165 in his early wwe run, than 175 for the longest time after. He has a pretty good amount of muscle for his frame. I will say though there are some that are really exaggerated.
Well brock lesnar was billed at around 300lbs in wwe but in the ufc his actually weighed around 275 but had to cut weight to get in the 265lb limit but back then a heavyweight having to cut weight to make 265 was unherd of

I remember PWI had a section that ranked the wrestlers in each territory. And it included their weights and hometowns. Jeff Jarrett from the AWA South stood out at 200 lbs. (the only guy in the whole section under 220 lbs.).
When Stone Cold was in WCW, he was billed as being form Hollywood.

I want to see Miro and Wardlow team up and tune the extra small roster of AEW
I saw Sheamus wrestle Roman Reigns. Both guys were billed at 6'3" and 265 on the jumbotron. We laughed our asses off. Sheamus was clearly two inches taller and 35-40 pounds heavier. You couldn't even see Roman when they tied up. One of Sheamus' thighs were two of Roman's twigs. Having seen Reigns a couple times from the 1st and second row, he's no more than 6'1"...maybe 6'2" on a good day and no more than 230-240. He has decent delts and arms but skinny legs with nothing special chest or back as if he's never done a pull-up and light bench work.
Just goes to show the miracle of WWE TV work. I've stood next to Roman and he's in good shape, but wouldn't really stand out dressed in a crowd. It always struck me as odd that he was booked like a "monster."

Weight in wrestling should be focused on more, and wrestlers of similar weights should be paired together (whether as friends or foes) almost always. But, there are always those exceptions to that rule (ie. Rey Mysterio vs Nash, or Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles) where it works in a David vs Goliath type of deal.
