@@RobinHood-qy7vtThanks great to hear you got in there. With staking its a person decision really. One wallet with 10k should give the same as 3 separate accounts. With 3 accounts you would have 3 seed phrases vs 1 with 1 account. If you want to support more than one pool you could split it into multiple accounts
In the Holdings calculator... It would be cool to see "Initial" Investment and continuous monthly investment. So if if I invest 1000 ADA + 50 ADA monthly @ 5% you could potentially make (insert number).

dw there are too many big holders, ada gonna have one of biggest retracements and u can shop until 2025

One thing to keep in mind with calculations like this is that the 5% APY is calculated with comulative rewards. If you withdraw your rewards every 5 weeks you won't have 5% gain over the year, you'll have way less. To counter this you have to set your target of how many coins you hold higher or your income goal lower, or just accept the fact that you have to limit yourself how many times you will withdraw.
Hey Paul! awesome calculators!!! I would find useful to have the monthly feature for the "how much ada needed to retire!". And YES a DCA calculator combined with the staking rewards calculator could be a MASTERPIECE!!!!!

@Paul, it would be nice to have the currency change in the calculators from the standard $ (USD) on the actual input/results fields depending on what current ADA price currency selected at the top of the calculators.

that wasnt a fake pump to be honest (even i hold 0 XRP) whole busniss is cringe RN cuz if it is taking over nobody knows whos the big runner (there will be less than 10) and imagen the money of 7k crypto currencys and a whole fiat system running in it ;)
people just learning about BTC xD imagen if world hears about ada (especially the one who are konservativ and didnt gaines on btc profits)

Hey Paul, Im not sure if you talked about this in any of your videos but, I have a question about staking. Im currently staking in your pool and waiting the 20 days. If for example a month has past and I would add another X amount of ada to the pool would I have to wait another 20 days? Or does this only count for the new amount of cardano added?

nice one. but consider. i like it. soon you can think about integration with the future "liquid finance" project, where you can get lending rewards + staking at the same time. 🤣
No you cant have the 2 at the same time but you can earn staking right up to the point you start earning lending rewards. I cover that in my interview with DC a few days ago

Hey Johan, The part at the top for selecting the currencies is just to show the current ADA price. I haven't integrated it into the calculations below. The rewards are all in ADA so when it comes to the $ parts you can just ignore the $ sign and mentally replace it with a €. I will try and find a way to integrate it

Been self employed for over 4 years now and about 95% of my time these days is on Crypto which has been 70-80 hours a week the last 2 months. The majority of that time is gone into this channel and trading for myself.
Is it too late to get into ADA at this point ?
Will you be doing a tax video in Ireland for crypto ?
Nothing planned on that as its a topic that can change at any time. I have asked some accountants about coming on but no luck yet as its an area I think we will see change in over the next year or 2 as Revenue starts to understand it more

Yes anything new added to the wallet is autostaked

Hey Paul, I have a question about moving ADA from one wallet to another and staking times.
When one first starts to stake ADA from a wallet there is a 20 day no payout time right?
I have ADA staked in one wallet ATM, but want to move it to another to stake there.
Would it be best if I first transfered a small amount and start the 20 days process and then move the rest of my ADA after
the 20 days to maximize staking because it would still be earning rewards in the old wallet?

You can move them all except 2 or 3 ADA. After you move you will still be getting rewards in the old wallet so leave the few ADA in it so you can claim all the rewards once you get them and then transfer them to the new wallet after 15 days too

I need help staking Cardano with Coinbase. I get hung up when the Network Fees aren't calculated and the Withdraw ADA button is grayed out still not allowing me to take the next step. Can someone help me?

Operator rewards are based on the number of blocks the pool gets and the fees they have set so its not something I can really create a calculator for.
@@CardanoWithPaul well can you just go by current avgs/medians or w/e and just some hypotheticals even? thanks.
@@allfd2414 the operator gets a share of the total pool rewards based on the fee they set for their pool. As block rewards come down slightly every epoch and number of blocks a pool gets is based on a lotto depending on stake there is no calculator I could build that would give any accurate info over time

Can you do a video about short term price outlook? I've just invested a lot of money into ada and am concerned about a correction since the price a has just mooned up! Surely there's got to be some deep red days ahead? No?
If you take a look at my channel I do regular videos on price. Should have a new one out later today too. Short term dips are possible but long term I think we are going higher

Yes when you change you still earn in your old pool until you start earning in your new one so you shouldn't miss any payouts

Great Calculators Paul. It would be nice to have if when the currency is selected on top, if the output currency would also change i.e see price in EUR and results in EUR.

Hi Paul, awesome and useful video! I'm trying to stake currently with some ADA I have on the trust wallet. however, I'm having difficulty transferring it to my Daedalus wallet? it says my ADA is BEP2, is this what's causing my receive address to be invalid? any help would be greatly appreciated.
Trust wallet stores ADA as an asset on the binance chain (BEP2) you will need to send the ADA to binance and then withdraw through the Cardano network to Daedalus.

Can you design this to work for any Coin, not just ADA. If you do that, you may be able to attract a lot more views and users. You can rename it "Universal Staking Rewards Calculator".
I might work on a version like that at some point but it will be on a new site as I will keep this to mainly just Cardano content

Hi Paul. Questions about taxes. I have everything on Binance right now, I want to transfer it over to my cold wallet then start staking. Is that a taxable event? Technically I have to "withdraw" from Binance, but I"m just moving them over to a wallet. But Binance might not see it that way. I don't want to pay short-term capital gains tax. Thoughts?
Depends on your country and how you are handling your taxes. Really it shouldn't as you are just moving between your own wallets but I'm not a tax guy
Doesn't matter if it is on Binance or in your own wallet. Their yours wherever you store your coins, only thing that matters from a tax viewpoint.
What happens if I staked with your pool, and the value per epoch is FAR behind the calculator? What happened?
The rewards vary each epoch due to the way the protocol assigns blocks but in general they average out to the 5% over the year

You only need to claim them when you want to move them out of the wallet

I have a question. Does the calculator include fees? I have 300 ADA, and when I try staking, it tells me that I will gain 0.2, but would have to pay 6 to stake. If I pay this 6 everytime I stake, how will I get the reward to be positive if I make 0.2 per every epoch? Could someone please explain ?
Depends on where you’re staking. If you’re using Daedalus (the official ADA wallet from IOHK), then usually the fee to join a stake pool is around 2 ADA. But that fee is one time only. Your rewards are every epoch. Whenever you decide to stop staking you get that fee back too. But this only applies to Daedalus.
Not sure where your staking but you shouldn't be paying 6 ADA in fees to stake. You pay a transaction fee (about 0.17ADA) to stake and a 2 ADA deposit which you get back after you stop. You dont pay any fees on the rewards you receive then

Yes, the last few have been above 5%
