    In this video, we're delving into the overlap between gastroparesis and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth or SIBO, shedding light on a recent systematic review with a meta-analysis that investigates their relationship - link to the study here www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...
    Gastroparesis, defined as delayed stomach emptying, shares strikingly similar symptoms with SIBO. Patients with both conditions often experience postprandial nausea, excessive fullness, dyspepsia (indigestion), and bloating.
    Commonly associated with diabetes and post-surgical neuropathy or myopathy, Gastroparesis can also appear as idiopathic, meaning cause unknown.
    A recent study examined 385 patients with Gastroparesis, revealing a surprising finding: a staggering 41% of these patients also had SIBO. However, the methods used to diagnose SIBO yielded varying prevalence rates, raising questions about the accuracy of different testing techniques.
    Does Gastroparesis lead to SIBO, or could there be a common underlying cause?

    Liking the explanation of your real-life rationale for breath-testing AND discussion of the comorbid conditions in research (if the two conditions occur together, how might they be interrelated?). Very interesting.

    Great video! Could you do one on the opposite - aka rapid emptying and fast motility.
    Speaking of motility, I've seen your awesome article on herbs for motility. Do you find that artichoke could irritate in the cases of bile acid malabsorption or gastritis? I've got fast mouth-to-exit transit time (it's yellow too), but tremendous amounts of burping and upper GI gas and I've been wondering if it's slow motility in the upper GI.

    I've had acid reflux problems my whole life, found out last year I have sma syndrome which is causing my stomach to hold onto food for too long. Pretty sure it's caused sibo. Having surgery in 3 days to get sma syndrome repaired. The sma artery is completely blocking my intestines. Sma syndrome and sibo are no fun. Hopefully after DDJ surgery they can help me get sibo taken care of.

    Id love to know what % of people with sibo are not recycling their carbonates to neutralize the acid properly, therefore the stomach will only make as much acid it can nutralize, leading to vitamin and mineral deficincy ?
    If sibos messing up the recycling at the base of the small intestine, would we leach calcium from our bones temporarily if we are smashing acidic coke,/foods leading to ostioperocis ?
    Bloating is the common sympto m or different sibos, just a different times. And tgecseasame seed challenge revealed even with diareah, the seeds can take 13 days to come out so i think it was catagorized as a behaviour of constipation.

    I have candida and have been fighting it by doing epsom salt enemas, oil of oregano, turpentine but I read that I should also add probiotics. I bought some with saccharine boulardi and poured the capsule in some apple juice letting it ferment. Would drinking this make the candida worse ?

    • @ByronHerbalist
      @ByronHerbalist  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Saccharomyces boulardii is very helpful for the right patient with a fungal/candida overgrowth.

      @@ByronHerbalist is Candida a parasite? Like a combination of pinworms? I just ordered Ivermectin. These things are really starting to mess with my mental health. I’m becoming like that film ‘Bug’ starring Ashley Judd.

    U use hair spray ? If your guts are 400m2 of area compared to ur 2m2 on your skin, ie 200 times more gut area, your lungs might be 3 football fields, enormous. Thats why the breathe tests work. Its your lungs.

      @@ByronHerbalist It’s not just me but a community of people who are trying to figure out what it can be? We need help and support! We know it’s either our stomach or intestines where the problem is, but of course we aren’t doctors and we don’t have labs so we can only theorize what we think it is or coming from! We are seeking a specialist to work with and it’s thousands of us 😬 believe it or not. I know you only operate in your country but eventually I’m sure we will find someone in the US but thank you for all the helpful information!
