- This video will show you a little bit about the washer diagnostic on a new whirlpool top load washer. You can run an auto test, individual comments and other things in diagnostic. I show what I use and mention little detail about it.

Man I owe you big time! Thank you. Was able to pump detergent into the tub to prime it. Was scratching my head buying dispenser tank and detergent flow pump. Regular quick cycles wouldn’t pump enough detergent through the line. Only out a few bucks, works like a charm. I appreciate you giving up this secret.
After replacing the run capacitor, my washer is back up and running. Thank you for proving me the info for a quick and easy repair.

Thank you for the advice! I fixed my problem and saved myself the headache of calling a professional to rob me today! Down the road I will need a professional maintenance check to clean the agitator, but for now I’m good!

The HMI (Human Machine Interface) is essentially your control panel. You can test things like the buttons, the display, the LEDs, etc

Is the fabric dispenser auto as well as the detergent
@@kennysgf No. You have to manually add it each time you run a load. And don’t forget to turn on the fabric softener option.

Thank you! Glad I found your video! My washer would start the sensing cycle and go straight into spin/drain mode. I followed your steps and did a factory reset. I just threw in a load and it seems to be working right now….fingers crossed. This machine is only 3yrs old. They don’t make them like they used to. 🫤

I got this exact one brand new back in April of 2021 and tonight I was trying to get the whites done and all of a sufden I get an error F7E1. But when I did the diagnostics everything seemed to work perfectly fine! So what should I do here?

This is some nice bits of information, too bad my washer doesn’t initiate any of the diagnostic tests and therefor won’t drain the water in it. Lol. It just stopped mid cycle and said it’s putting in its 2 week notice.

Great video! Mine came from a ding & dent place and had no owners manual or ppwk, so it’s been a struggle to figure out. All the instructions are in Spanish. I do not speak or read Spanish. Is there a way to change it back to English?
Got any info on the matching dryer? We have one that's just about the same as yours washer dryer set & it's coding f7e1 no not sure how to fix it, but out dryer needs a heating element & we can't figure out how to open it up to find it

Thank you! I've had this for about 2 years and I had to troubleshoot a problem. I went to fault history and saw a FOE7. Easy remedy. This helped me get back to my favorite thing to do...laundry...NOT!
What did you do to resolve the F0E7 issue? We are getting that on our now. It's thinks we are trying to run a Washer Clean Cycle and says too unload the laundry. We are not running a clean cycle.. so very confused.
what could be defected ? i reset the codes and it washed fine for the last three washes but the code keeps coming back F8E1 water not detected but the water comes out just fine ! Thank you for the access into the diagnostics though it helped reset the codes !

I have the kenmore model of this washer & it is sensing loads for like 5 minutes and then shows "wash complete" and stops.

my drum doesnt seem to move when it agitates, only the bottom piece really spins. How did you determine if it was the belt?

I own this exact washer and it works great in all cycles except in Bulky item setting. The items are soaking wet after cycle ends. It worked great for a year, now not spinning all water out, only in this cycle. Any advice?

I just replaced the lid switch assembly and now the close lid reading is gone but it won’t go past sensing mode. After about ten minutes I get the F5E3 closed lid error.. help

We purchased our washer about 7 months ago the load and go does not work. We had a repair person out and he replaced a part but it is still not working. I have removed the detergent cleaned it. Set it back to the factory reset, It will show when it is empty or full but doesn’t dispense
I have a question. I have this same one for iver a year and the detergent dispenser never empty. I'm pretty sure I'm not even cleaning my clothes. It has been full for a whole year.
only use HE High Efficiency detergent. Run white vinegar through it in diagnostic mode and see if it pumps it out

I have this washer and I can't get anything to happen on the LCD after touching those buttons 3 times each, its just dead. Is there something else I can do?
My machine is all mixed up!! It starts to spin then stops and fills again. I need to pause and start for it to wash properly cause sometimes is won't wash and hardly turn. Sometimes it starts spinning in a weird way that all the clothes bundles up on the agitator and I need to replace. Sooooo many issues. How can I try to calibrate it back to the initial factory settings?

Where is the valve assembly located?
@@TJ-sf6kt take off the top cover, you gotta use a putty knife to pop some clips, and the part is what your hot and cold hoses attach to.
Its a single closed system so you can't repair it afaik
I've seen where other washers have filters. I can't find one on this model. Getting ready to replace the pump.
Having drain problems on mine as well. That pump price, though 😒
@@designwiz72 were you ever able to get the drain pump fixed? Mine is throwing the drain pump error code and I replaced the drain pump and activated it and it’s still not draining. So frustrating!
@@bredenis5 it's not the pump. We actually got it to drain during a test cycle, but with codes flashing for the drain inlet valve now too. It's also not the valve though because it will fill up entirely too full and tell me it's not getting water. It's gotta be a sensor somewhere or the main board. I can't seem to find a part # for an inlet valve sensor...
@@designwiz72 thank you so much for replying so quickly! I’m sorry that you have to put up with that aggravation! I can’t figure out this darn thing either. I’m just now running a proper diagnostic cycle and I’m going to see if it is able to pump when it gets to that test.
I wish that worked for mine. Nothing will make it light up. I have that same model and it just won't work. Could it be the whole control board?

How do I directly test only the start switch?
I have the same washer and just moved to a new house down the road. Now washer won’t power on at all. No buttons or codes just nothing. Outlets have power and breaker isn’t tripped
Which belt did you have to replace? My whirlpool makes a high pitched screeching noise in the beginning.

Mine is making a very loud noise when it spins.....like the bearings need to be replaced and its not even 2 yrs old when i got it..

Thanks for sharing. I've got this unit and when it is on a high spin at the end, it sounds like a jet engine in the house and I can make it go almost silent simply by applying some pressure with both of my hands to either side of the unit. It appears this thing is shaking so hard its flapping the aluminum body. It does this even with no clothing inside as well. Is it normal for this washer to shake itself so hard it sounds like it's about to break?
Mine did too, and beware the hose trapped inside the metal on the back of that machine will wear a hole. I took the back off and taped the hose till I could get a new one. Sounds just like a jet engine.

@@jeffhirsh8247 yes, the inner drain hose, right inside the metal back, all that ferocious spinning friction wore a hole.

I got them on Tuesday last week so today. I had my first wash of clothes and I sure did not like the way the washer machine worked. The water was to low and did not wash my clothes right I still had my perfume on my clothes still. I went today back to the store to return them back and got my front loader. I will never change my front loader machines to a regular top load machine there are no good at all. I have seen a lot of bad comments on the top load machines.
This is my EXACT issue to the T. Had mine less than 48 hrs. Taking it back this Friday.

F9e1 means bad drain pump
You have to drain all the water out first by taking out the drain hose and lowering it into a bucket and let it drain into the water is completely gone then the door should unlock after pressing things like Spin and drain or something. Or you can do the Diagnostics in this video he showed how to unlock the door.
I tried to get into receive the fault code, but no luck. Same model washer. My washer lid is locked and will not power on. Any advice?

Agitator plate spins freely of the drum and won’t agitate- yet I hear the motor engage, trying to move the agitator? Any ideas?
Your actuator needs to be replaced based on that symptom.
Anyway to run this washer on spin only?
It has a drain and spin option in the options menu.

ANY ISSUES WITH LEAKS COMING ROM THE BOTTOM OF THE WASHER? It doesn't happen with everywash
YES!!! I figured out that it will leak when the fabric softener is on! OR if you use the "Towel" mode, that forces the fabric softener compartment to fill with water (I don't know why, this occurs even with Fabric Softener set to OFF, but only in Towel mode does this occur like this). The fabric softener compartment drains do not always align with the tub, SO - it overflows a little and goes straight to the floor! Run the test yourself and observe in there with a flashlight while its running... You'll see it happen.
Mine leaks also with from the fabric softer dispenser. Any suggestions?
Any tips for no power at all ? We unplugged it for over a min plugged back in still nothing . We bought used one for now it works fine so its not plug in. This is barely over a year old this was not a cheap washer . :( First new washer i ever bought its been a nightmare!

F9E1 code. Pump is fine, drain is fine. Third time same problem, diagnostics did not help. Had to unhook the wires to the pump under the washer to unlock the lid! Less then a year old and have had nothing but trouble!

Lol, I just bought this set of a guy who got it during the vid….. and he said he called the warranty countless times to fix lots of things till he got fed up and bought a whole new other diff set…. Got these fixed and sold them to me and their working fine for me….
Said that parts were quickly put together that failed since whirlpool rushed them out to sell quickly since the world was scared and bought everything off the shelves lol

My washer stopped mid cycle and doesnt turn on.water is trapped inside. Outlet does have running power.
If the door is unlocked, and if it’s a top load or it’s a front load and it’s not full enough to spill out of the washer, get a siphon and a bucket and go to town.
Mine is having a problem where we start the washer and it runs and goes to 1 min and stops . What would be the problem?

Select three buttons of your choice on the panel. Press those same three buttons on the panel three times in a row in the same order until the machine's display says diagnostic.
Mine just broke down. It’s full of water and I can’t get the door open to remove the clothes. Starting to smell up the house…

If you can, go to service mode, and in the service functions, run the drain pump. And while you’re at it, there should be a function to toggle the lock. Toggle it and it should unlock. If not, I guess depending on how badly you need your clothes, maybe pry it open with a crowbar or something lol.
