Hey super thanks for the breakdown. I went ahead and started my first load without pre-programming it. Now, after watching your video, my next load will be programmed thanks man.
You sure made that look easy. The vent windows do look nice. Wouldn't it be nice if one could actually see inside the door while working inside of it? I would like to see cutaway view of a door from both sides. Good job on the windows, keep going on that car and the only part of it that will be from 1967 will be the back half of the body. Very cool! I guess it will live up to its name, "OVERKILL"! Take care , stay safe.
I found that when I was having a dispenser issue that when the machine would be powered on that it would say my dispenser had been disabled. I had to hold down "Load and Go" for 3 seconds, pressing the Load and Go button until I got to "Dispensing is at 100%" then my dispenser began dispensing again. Once you are on Dispensing at 100%, stop pressing the Load and Go button. This means it is selecting this option for dispensing the detergent. Also, I did a "factory reset" at one point and that worked too. You can look in your manual to see what the icons that show up on the screen represent. Look up the icons for the dispenser options to make sure you have the right one selected.

I use what I used in my old machine, about a cup. I also add my own detergent as well. I noticed that the auto soap dispenser it has, the level of soap barely goes down each wash. I like my clothes to smell like the soap, and I can't get that just relying on the automatic dispenser. So I also still use the amount I used in my old machine.
@@58170128 I hope you've found resolve by now but in case you haven't I use one to one and a half cups bleach. The white loads I do are probably a medium sized load.
I know you can fill the detergent dispenser with plenty of soap for multi loads can you do the same with the fabric softner so both are full and not have to worry about it
You have to get to know the machine. It is different from any you have ever had. I would always use the auto setting for best results. Also this is a water saving machine and is not going to do a 20 minute load. If you browse through the comments on this video I think it will help you a lot!
What is the dispenser tray for? You mentioned you put your detergent in the other compartment/brush because that where the machine takes it detergent from
Have this washer and ❤ it! Another great feature is that it automatically sensors how much liquid detergent you need based on weight of clothes (that feature can be turned off). But i have found, that i am using less detergent.
I find this washing machine is like movie. If you look at movie reviews there will be those that like it a lot and some that flat out hate it. There is nothing wrong with the machine after you figure it out.

Help! I put a comforter in the similar washing machine and it kept saying off balanced and shaking and stuck on 47 minutes. Now I have a soaking wet comforter air drying before I could put it in the dryer. Can I troubleshoot it and is there a video to watch how to troubleshoot. The washer is still new. Thanks.
What do you suggest if you cannot open the lid and the power will not come on? The outlets are working, but it kicks the switch when I plug the washer in.
Sounds like you have a short somewhere. I don't have a quick fix and suggest you call a service company. However I did find this page online and your handyman may be able to follow the instructions to manually release the lock. Hi, I have this washer but want to know how to use the Sani oxi feature. Where do you add the oxi and can you use powder because that’s all I see. Add the powder on top of the clothes? Thanks if you know.
My machines were just delivered today, and i wanted to sit down and study the manual so i know how to use all the features, but there doesn't seem to be a manual among all the paperwork. So i came here. Trying to figure out how to put soap in the stain treater thingy.
@mrfixit0067 Thank you! I did register it just now, and it turns out that I did get a manual. It just doesn't tell you how to use all the features. It only tells you how to install it and the basics. So far, I love this machine. It was a big expense for us, but I worked at summer school so I could buy a really nice set. ❤️
I was wondering why the load and go would never empty out. Then i found out that its made to hold soap for many loads. I even disabled it..until i found out how it wks
Hi I know I’m late to your video but I can’t find a video on how to put detergent in the little scrub brush and I’m sure the guys who installed my washer through out the manual, can u help?
You can always add detergent or softener into the tub. The water is so hard in my area and sometimes I add to even after the autofill has dispersed the recommended deterrent.
This is my first time using this new washer, my frustrated. Do I press the water for it to fill up first? I says soaking 3:00 and I tried to start but nothing. Do I have to wait until the soaking time is over? Please help this list soul 😢
If the machine seems to get stuck in a cycle I would recommend pulling the plug for 20-30 second and reprogram after it boots back up. You can also sinc it with your wifi and try setting the programs through the wifi. The washer does take longer to wash but that is part of the water saving feature. I always recommend taking time to get to know your machine because it is different from the machines you have been familiar with in the past.
I have this washer ....i dont particularly like it. This may be a dumb question but when you load these with clothes do you just throw the clothes in or do you have to load the clothes in around the impellers(when i first git the machine i was told to go around the impellers not just throw them in)???? Ughhhhhhh
We usually throw the clothes in the bowl then move them around the bowl to pre-balance the load. We did find that the water level has to be almost perfect to allow the load to tumble properly with the impeller. The water level is determined by the machine on auto wash and allows the impeller to work more efficiently. Hope this is helpful.
I just bought this washing machine and in the rinse cycle it only spins as if it were spinning and sends jets of water every so often and it does not fill the tub to rinse like others do, only when you put the manual rinse and drain cycle it fills to the limit. Limit clothing and rinse as it should be. Could you please tell me how your washing machine does the rinse cycle.
This washer is designed to save water and therefore it doesn't perform as older washers do. If you scroll through the comments on this video you may learn many things about it.
How do you enable the Load and Go feature. When going through the options, mine says it is disabled. The options are: 1) Dispenser disabled 2) disabled for 1 cycle 3) dispenser is 100%
I bought this machine a couple days ago. I noticed that my agitator does not wash well. It goes really slow. Especially when I add big loads. Have any idea why that might be?
You have to get to know your program on the machine. I believe you push the menu button to get to the auto setting. If you look through the comments on this video I believe everything has been covered by me and others. There are other addresses to other videos here also, if you need further assistance.
all that and USA machines still just have cold warm and hot, when warm is probably hot enough to run your colours....in europe we have actual numbers as the machine heats the water to the set temp, and its reliable, our largest front loader is 22lbs, dont know how top loaders compare, but we can get up to 2k rpm spin (and they all have other lower settings), front loaders as we dont tend to have a laundry room thus machine fits under the counter, we did have top loaders, much smaller in the 60s
@@Houtarou_Hyouka_Unforgiven 30-40c is better for cleaning, but it must be precise or too much heat will make colours run on clothing, USA machines cannot detect water temperature, they just mix mechanically from the hot/cold supply. Can you tell me how to enable the detergent dispenser? It was on I used the washer a few times and now it’s disabled. It wasn’t working properly so I was trying to get it to work and somehow disabled it. But before that it wasn’t adding detergent. It’s a new machine. Thanks!
I would try resetting the machine by unplugging for 30 seconds and plug back in. Reprogram your setting. I am including a video that may help explain the unit: czcams.com/video/3JROPcZcdm0/video.html Good luck!
Hey man. I just got one of these sets but it’s up to date 2020 and it does not seem to move the clothes around that much when it washes. Do you know anything about that?
Same here I doesn't look like it does very good job of washing , if any 1 gets it to actually move the clothes like a normal machine please let me. I feel like I'm doing something wrong
I just bought this washer. Problem is hot is cold and cold is hot. Not a filter problem or wrong water connection. I have the repairman coming out on January 19th. Could this be a motherboard issue? Would resetting it by unplugging it do the trick?
First time ever I have heard of this problem. Could be aNY number of things. If you have a repair man coming hopefully he can trouble shoot it for you. I do not think resetting the unit will help this problem. If you need to, just switch supplies till the service man gets to it! Remember to alert him of the same if you do switch them.
Is there a single dose dispenser or do you just have to pour the detergent into the washer? I switch detergents depending on what wash I'm doing. I have looked my washer over well, and I don't see such a thing as a single dose dispenser, but while doing some research, some articles talk about a single dose dispenser at least on some models.
@@mrfixit0067 Thank you. Actually that's what I have been doing. After reading over the manual, I do see that you can do a single dose from the "load and go" manually, however, that does not remedy the problem of switching detergents. Thank you for your care and time in answering my question.
Think I might have to do another video with all the questions. The soap fill should be in the front when you open the lid! Should be one for soap and one for softener.
On mine, the softener goes in the left corner and the bleach goes in the right corner. I put the soap in that closed tray inside the machine. Is that right?
Hiring a house maid to manually wash your clothes would be louder after she bitches and complains in your ears that she requires more money to complete the wash!
No seriously, I replaced a Samsung with vrt technology that reduces noise and such. There is not a significant difference between between the two, perhaps the whirlpool is slightly quieter than my premium Samsung front load model.
Sounds like you have a manufacturing breakdown problem and it is only a year old. I would contact whirlpool or even the outfit you bought it from and try to find a way to get it replaced. Good luck!
I have one of these and the control panel stopped working. I have power to the control borad and tge control panel. ( the greens ights are on). So wat can be the problem
I would try unplugging for 20-30 minutes. If that doesn't work you could sync it to your internet and try that. You may have to have the board checked by a service man. Good luck
I had another viewer with a problem and after using whirlpool.com found clasp on the door was faulty. You may want to go to their website and use their online help desk. Good luck!
Same here.....April. I just took my washer out of the box!! Running test cycle, have to physically HOLD down the door for the unit to detect the door being closed so it could latch. Contacted the store, said they'll be looking into it.
I just got this washer and I’m having issues with off balance with most of my wash loads any idea why this is happening? I put my clothes in level and it sensors starts to wash then shuts off for me to rearrange them it’s annoying.
We were having that problem but only on the setting for blankets. I would try switching the settings around. If that doesnt work try unplugging the unit for 30 seconds next time it happens then plug it back in and restart. The machine is like a computer and need to treat it as such.
Wow, you may be surprised with my answer. The 5.3 is a nice machine but I am an older guy and some of the new tech really doesn't do it for me. For example the internet capability just confuses a lot of people. I am more of a dial instead of digital. If you check out the 4.3 you will see what I mean. I also have a hard time with the impellor instead of an agitator. It seems like the impellor has a hard time with keeping the load balanced. I go for the logistics of the machine instead of the bells and whistles. I think whirlpool has graduated to the impellor and may have to go to Samsung or LG. I hope this info is helpful and not confusing to you!
@@mrfixit0067 I am in the process of purchasing a whirlpool set. And according to my brothers LG washer and dryer, it seems to be missing that feature.
@@MrKMilano the only recommendation I would give is to purchase the washer with the removable agitator and impeller. The one with impeller only is needing the precise water level to mix clothes properly. Hope you understand.
Hello sir, I have this washer and it is stuck in the mode that is around minute 5:29 of you video. It remains in add garment mode. The lid lock is working water will fill up if you make it manually but it is stuck in add garment mode and the tub will not move. Are you familiar with whether or not the actuator on the bottom could be causing this? We get several error codes that state F7E4. F7E3 F7E2 and about three more codes. Thanks, I cant find many vidoes on repairs on these machines. Guess they are not old enough yet but mine is not working properly. thanks
In my research and findings it manifest to me that you have a wash plate issue. I always remind people that some areas have hard water and it is not nice to faucets and appliances. This issue can be caused by heavy usage on the washer or it could be the wash plate just plain wore out. If you have little experience with home repairs you may want to summons an appliance repair man. Remember, I have not observed the machine and am merely offering suggestions for those codes. Always try unplugging the machine for 15 minutes and plugging back in to clear the codes. If the codes clear and do not reappear, your good. With all 3 codes showing up I would suspect a washer plate problem and having the wash plate checked out. I am sending a link that may be helpful in deciding your next move: howtofixit.net/whirlpool-cabrio-washer-problems/ Good luck!
Thank you, I dont know what the washer plate is exactly is that the bottom part inside the tub that the agitator connects onto? Sorry I am a little lost on this one! And I do appreciate your suggestions. Also thanks for the link.

We just bought this set and so far we aren’t happy but we are trying to learn how to use it better. I tried two small washable sofa pillows in the washer tonight with some towels ( it was not overloaded ) and when we went down to check , it was off because of an unbalance. So we moved things around , started again and it did this again! Finally I had to remove the two soaking wet pillows and continue with the few things left in the washer . This was very frustrating and annoying ! I have washed many pillows in my old washer with no problems. Is there a bell or beeper to let you know the washer or dryer are stopped and finished? Also , it appears no detergent is ever missing or used up, every time we check the dispenser … I find the washer and dryer are too big for us and I can not reach to the bottom of the washer or the back of the dryer . I feel like a twisted back is going to happen! Hope we can get used to these , not sure I would buy them ( husband bought them quickly without me sand had them delivered) Can you help answer these questions ? Thanks !
This video seems to help a lot of people out. czcams.com/video/K2MDomSMKSE/video.html If the machine gives you problems I usually unplug for 30 seconds and then plug it back in and reboot as you would a computer. It helps to register the machine and also start the online feature if you can. I found it easier to keep it in auto mode because the impellor seems to work better when the sensors determine water level and operating procedures. I think if you handle the machine more like a computer instead of like your old machine you may adapt more quickly.

I have a trouble with after spinning water come again and again it keep repeating that .. I’m mad about to return back
I know you can fill the detergent dispenser with plenty of soap for multi loads can you do the same with the fabric softner so both are full and not have to worry about it
. I’m trying to find out if the fabric softener holds enough for many load s like the detergent load and go?
Softener needs to be added for each load.
I just bought it and started the washer, it took 3 hours for soaking 😮😮
You have to get to know the machine. It is different from any you have ever had. I would always use the auto setting for best results. Also this is a water saving machine and is not going to do a 20 minute load. If you browse through the comments on this video I think it will help you a lot!
What is the dispenser tray for? You mentioned you put your detergent in the other compartment/brush because that where the machine takes it detergent from
The brush is for stain remover and the other tank is for detergent.
How many minutes is the quick wash?
@@ashleyr5135 quick wash is 30 minutes and not recommended for bulky or oversize loads.
question I just got my washer how much soap do you put in yours they say only like 20cc not very much also where you put the soap does your dispenser stick out a little bit or is it flacid to the machine. my stick out about 16th of an inch when you close it
You can fill the dispenser and it will add soap according to weight or you can put the soap directly into the hopper each load as I do.
Thanks.

IF i use different detergents do I just manually add it to the tub at the beginning?
You can always add detergent or softener into the tub. The water is so hard in my area and sometimes I add to even after the autofill has dispersed the recommended deterrent.
Add powder to wash.
What about the small spot scrubber lid to add the detergent to. Cant get lid off it
May have to order a replacement from customer support at whirlpool.com.

I just bought this washing machine and in the rinse cycle it only spins as if it were spinning and sends jets of water every so often and it does not fill the tub to rinse like others do, only when you put the manual rinse and drain cycle it fills to the limit. This washer is designed to save water and therefore it doesn't perform as older washers do. If you scroll through the comments on this video you may learn many things about it.

It is meant as a reservoir for several loads depending on if you fill it to the top.
I bought this machine a couple days ago. I noticed that my agitator does not wash well. It goes really slow. Especially when I add big loads. Have any idea why that might be?
The one I have had an impeller and I have to keep it on auto because if the water level isn't perfect the clothes don't move and wash properly.

all that and USA machines still just have cold warm and hot, when warm is probably hot enough to run your colours....in europe we have actual numbers as the machine heats the water to the set temp, and its reliable, our largest front loader is 22lbs, dont know how top loaders compare, but we can get up to 2k rpm spin (and they all have other lower settings), front loaders as we dont tend to have a laundry room thus machine fits under the counter, we did have top loaders, much smaller in the 60s

Sounds like your water lines are in reverse.
How do u clean the filter out
Is there a single dose dispenser or do you just have to pour the detergent into the washer? I switch detergents depending on what wash I'm doing. I have looked my washer over well, and I don't see such a thing as a single dose dispenser, but while doing some research, some articles talk about a single dose dispenser at least on some models.
If you change detergent per load I would recommend pouring it into the tub on each load.
@@mrfixit0067 Thank you. Actually that's what I have been doing. After reading over the manual, I do see that you can do a single dose from the "load and go" manually, however, that does not remedy the problem of switching detergents. Thank you for your care and time in answering my question.

Is there a way to leave the top open while the water is coming out
You can use the water supply for rinsing when it is open, but once the machine starts a cycle and locks I do not believe it can be opened.

What top whirlpool High-efficiency washer would you recommend?

I am sending a link that may be helpful in deciding your next move:

Good luck!
Thank you, I dont know what the washer plate is exactly is that the bottom part inside the tub that the agitator connects onto? Sorry I am a little lost on this one! And I do appreciate your suggestions. Also thanks for the link.
The washer plate or sometimes called the impeller is what moves the clothes around in the bottom of the hopper. The video does explain.
Where is the water though? Just got this today and so confused. I Saw You Turn On the water in the beginning but you stopped it. Does it add water once you start it?
The water level is determined by sensors and the water will stop and start during the process of censoring.

If the machine gives you problems I usually unplug for 30 seconds and then plug it back in and reboot as you would a computer. It helps to register the machine and also start the online feature if you can. I found it easier to keep it in auto mode because the impellor seems to work better when the sensors determine water level and operating procedures.
