It is a great video. Unplugging for 2 minutes fixed my Amana washer with this error code.
Right, or they could explain what we came here to find out. What would the repair person do?

Lid not locked! but I have this error code and the washer will not work even if unplugged and plugged back in. Wish I could say this was the first time...last time it was under warranty.
Why does Whirlpool make a product that thousands of people have problem with the latch malfunctioning? Why not recall the faulty latch? And never make a latch with this many problems again.
It’s truly amazing that engineers come up with this colossal BS, and that these companies keep selling it.

We thought the hurricane had passed and we were ok. Did a load of laundry, but THEN our power went out. It’s been two days. Unplugging is irrelevant. Any ideas?
Nice mine also shocks me if i touch the top panel. I took apart the switch which is a POS design where condensation dumps onto the board, and i tried to clean it as some suggest. It worked for a few cycles, then i spent $30 on a new lid lock.
Theres no video from Maytag on how to actually service the defective part so i had to find random YT videos. I swear i will never buy any of these products again, my Gma still has a 30 year old maytag that outlasted all of these new ones with the SAME issues through multiple iterations

Call service, stay on hold for two hours and then get an appointment in nine days. Selling our two-year-old set and buying GE. Never buying whirlpool or Maytag again.

Tried this and tried to open the latch using a hanger, no luck. It's maintained by the landlord so I can't take it apart. My laundry will be stuck in the machine for the next 12 hours for sure. 😂

Unplugging did not work. Have been trying for half the day. I am so fucking done with these automatic locks. Gonna go find the most plain washer ever and make my life easier.
Haven't even had your washer for a month and this is happening. I know I won't be buying another one from you all, that is for sure.
