@@mostdope2536 - it’s in a golf magazine. Maybe the one called Golf? I think the year was about 2013 or 2015, can’t remember but you should be able to find it if interested. The interviewer was asking Eric about how they were funding all the golf courses they were building since the market was “flat” at the moment. Eric said golf was popular in Russia and so they were being backed by Russians. That quote is real. By that time, US banks had stopped loaning money for Trump projects.
Back around 2010, Don Jr. said at a conference or something similar that a disproportionate (his word) amount of their funding was coming from Russian sources. They were very open about their Russian connections back then, it wasn’t a secret. It was simply a fact concerning their businesses. Donald Sr started being more discrete about it only during his campaign in 2016. But he had been openly courted by rich Russians and encouraged by them to run for political office for years.
