- I walk through my collection of Atari 2600 cartridges in this video. You will notice that I may sound dissapointed when I mention that there are 260 games here. Although this is a great collection, you have no idea how many places I have been over the last 25 years getting to where I am. It has not been an easy task, and perhaps I simply never landed on a holy grail collection at one time. I have have over paid for many of these, but the collection means a lot to me and is worth it. There are over 400 easily attainable games. I've raided dozens of friend's collections, been to thrift stores in various states, attended many flea markets, visitied dozens and dozens of garage sales, and purchased from eBay and other online collector sites. Even Best Buy was selling used 2600 games at one point as evidenced with a yellow sticker.
Aside from that, these games come in different shapes, sizes, and label configurations. If you have a game that is not in my collection, contact me and maybe you'll have a sale.
Thanks for watching!
Nice History lesson...I learned more from this then any other video.. Nice Collection
Good vid im starting to collect for this system it was very helpful that u ecplained all the labels and some have pictures and some dont thanks
I am SOOO glad I am not as rough with my carts as you are!!!!MIne are kept in drawers and handled carefully.MInd you I do have quite a few rare ones in boxes.PS Good Video though, thanks!
Have to say thank you. I learned something new.
Very nice Mark. Atari is what I grew up with and I love the simplicity of the games. I remember disassembling my Supercharger to see what was inside. Then I threw it in the trash thinking I would never want to play it again because the load time was too long and the newer NES was so much better. I had a lost luggage too...$1 bargain bin find. I guess the whole lot went in the trash as some point. Oh, what a dumb move. I'm building my collection of Atari back up at no cost with smart buys.
Nice insights, thanks for sharing. I'm looking to start picking up an Atari soon and this was a nice overview of the different companies that made games. I only remember a certain few classics I want to get, so it's nice to know what other companies I should start looking into for games with good gameplay.
+Squiggs 【Glitches - ROM Hacks - Speedruns】 Thanks!
very nice collection. 260 is still a large collection. Nothing to be disappointed about
Nice video! Outlaw is fun
Great video
HEY! You completed your Red Label 20th Century Fox variation set! Congrats!
Yeah the silver label M Network carfs are from when Mattel sold their games division to a former employee who created INTV corp. As for the adapter part, its because Mattel and INTV corp just used Intellivision cart molds for the 2600 versions and slapped a extension at the end to fit the 2600 cart slot
Good video, thanks for sharing.
Very cool collection, my man. I don't personally know anyone who has much appreciation for the 2600 but I think it's pretty neat to collect for.
Thanks!
Incredible collection btw.
Thanks!
2nd Tim watching video, it's been awhile, your videos the only one I could find about label variants, I have qbert in the late red labels and one for parkers brothers was like why does it look like two different companies made the same game.
Could be bootleg, possible late run when companies cheapened things up
+Mark Davis sorry had an issue with posting comment on my screen it never went through.
Great collection! I have about 350 cartridges. (Some are duplicates, but label variations of same game.) Been collecting for around 10 years off and on. Have a few rare carts. I love the boxes, too, but really don't like seeing people simply collect unopened in the box games. It's so much better to have them opened or loose so you can play them like they were intended, right?
i have 82 myself just started though and 3 consoles 12 controllers 2 power adapters and about 25 manuals all 2600 stuff well only 32 dollars spent on this so far and some good yard sales i guess
You lucky ducky, lol. I currently have 2 games.
Have you got any other voice games that were made for the Atari I had a Mattel intervision
you have any for sale lol I have over 250 myself but still looking I love the Atari and still play all that I can
Just a general question about game cartridges from any system.
If they boot up and play are they always 100% working order?
Yes. I have never been in the middle of a game and have it fail. Unless the cartridge is physically bumped and the connection is broken.

Hi, from what I've heard, the reason why the sesame Street games don't look in good condition is because it's the glue they used back then.
Makes sense. Lots of games had the same issue and they came from different places.
Yes, Activision carts suffer from the same problem, although that company made some of THE BEST Atari 2600 games! People have took to calling the problem ActiPlaque, lol!
firefly and sorcerer are shit WORSE than ET , like they went to program and gave up
